Simplified TeV leptophilic dark matter in light of DAMPE data
Using a simplified framework, we attempt to explain the recent DAMPE cosmic
flux excess by leptophilic Dirac fermion dark matter (LDM). The
scalar () and vector () mediator fields connecting LDM and
Standard Model particles are discussed. Under constraints of DM relic density,
gamma-rays, cosmic-rays and Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB), we find that the
couplings , , and can
produce the right bump in flux for a DM mass around 1.5 TeV with a
natural thermal annihilation cross-section today. Among them, coupling is tightly constrained by
PandaX-II data (although LDM-nucleus scattering appears at one-loop level) and
the surviving samples appear in the resonant region, . We also study the related collider signatures, such as dilepton
production , and muon anomaly. Finally,
we present a possible realization for such leptophilic dark matter.Comment: discussions added, version accepted by JHE
Recurrent Syncope Attributed to Left Main Coronary Artery Severe Stenosis
Patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) rarely manifest as recurrent syncope due to malignant ventricular arrhythmia. We report a case of a 56-year-old Chinese male with complaints of paroxysmal chest burning sensation and distress for 2 weeks as well as loss of consciousness for 3 days. The electrocardiogram (ECG) revealed paroxysmal multimorphologic ventricular tachycardia during attack and normal heart rhythm during intervals. Coronary angiograph showed 90% stenosis in left main coronary artery and 80% stenosis in anterior descending artery. Two stents sized 4.0*18 mm and 2.75*18 mm were placed at left main coronary artery and anterior descending artery, respectively, during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The patient was discharged and never had ventricular arrhythmia again during a 3-month follow-up since the PCI. This indicated that ventricular tachycardia was correlated with persistent severe myocardial ischemia. Coronary vasospasm was highly suspected to be the reason of the sudden attack and acute exacerbation. PCI is recommended in patients with both severe coronary artery stenosis and ventricular arrhythmia. Removing myocardial ischemia may stop or relieve ventricular arrhythmia and prevent cardiac arrest
Relationship among Self-appraisals, Others’ Actual Appraisals, and Reflected Appraisals on Primary School Teachers Teaching Ability
Convenient sampling and questionnaire survey was used to investigate the relationship among self-appraisals, others’ actual appraisals, and reflected appraisals on the teaching ability of 40 primary school teachers. The results of the study indicated that primary school teachers’ selfappraisals on teaching ability was obviously below others’ actual appraisals; generalized others had more influence on the self-appraisals of primary school teachers than specific others; primary school teachers’ reflected appraisals could influence their self-appraisals; and others’ actual appraisals could not directly influence self-appraisals. Consequently, we should pay more attention in developing the primary school teachers’ reflective ability, change the current way of teaching reflection, improve the influence of others’ actual appraisals on self-appraisals, and enhance the validity of teaching reflection
MicroRNAs, an active and versatile group in cancers
microRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of non-coding RNAs that function as endogenous triggers of the RNA interference pathway. Studies have shown that thousands of human protein-coding genes are regulated by miRNAs, indicating that miRNAs are master regulators of many important biological processes, such as cancer development. miRNAs frequently have deregulated expression in many types of human cancers, and play critical roles in tumorigenesis, which functions either as tumor suppressors or as oncogenes. Recent studies have shown that miRNAs are highly related with cancer progression, including initiating, growth, apoptosis, invasion, and metastasis. Furthermore, miRNAs are shown to be responsible for the cancer-related inflammation, anti-cancer drug resistance, and regulation of cancer stem cells. Therefore, miRNAs have generated great interest as a novel strategy in cancer diagnosis and therapy. Here we review the versatile roles of miRNAs in cancers and their potential applications for diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment as biomarkers
7H-Chromeno[3,2-h]quinolin-7-one methanol monosolvate
The four-ring system in the title compound, C16H9NO2·CH3OH, is planar (r.m.s deviation = 0.03 Å); the methanol solvent molecule forms a hydrogen bond to the quinoline N atom

Recombinant immunotoxin anti-c-Met/PE38KDEL inhibits proliferation and promotes apoptosis of gastric cancer cells
<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>Our study aims to evaluate the anti-growth effects of recombinant immunotoxin (IT) anti-c-Met/PE38KDEL on gastric cancer cells, and its mechnisms.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>Gastric cancer cells were treated with increasing doses of IT and c-Met protein was quantified by Western blotting. Cell proliferation was determined by Cell Counting Kit-8 assay (CCK). [3H]-leucine incorporation assay was used to evaluate IT inhibition of protein synthesis. Cell apoptosis was quantified by flow cytometry. Caspase activities were measured using colorimetric protease assays.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>Cell growth and protein synthesis of the gastric cancer cell lines were suppressed by IT in a dose- and time-dependent manner. IT also induced apoptosis in a dose-dependent manner. The apoptosis rates of gastric cancer cell lines MKN-45 and SGC7901 were 19.19% and 27.37%, respectively when treated with 50 ng/ml of IT. There were significant increase ofcaspase-3 activity at 24 hr of IT treatment (100 ng/ml) (P < 0.01) in these gastric cancer cell lines.</p> <p>Conclusions</p> <p>IT anti-c-Met/PE38KDEL has anti-growth effects on the gastric cancer cell lines <it>in vitro</it>, and it provides an experimental basis for c-Met-targeted therapy towards <it>in vivo </it>testing.</p
Quantum Liouville Theory On The Riemann Sphere With Punctures
We have studied the quantum Liouville theory on the Riemann sphere with n>3
punctures. While considering the theory on the Riemann surfaces with n=4
punctures, the quantum theory near an arbitrary but fixed puncture can be
obtained via canonical quantization and an extra symmetry is explored. While
considering more than four distinguished punctures, we have found the exchange
relations of the monodromy parameters from which we can get a reasonable
quantum theory.Comment: 13 page
