The Influence of Japanese Elements in Tien Yee News

Tien Yee News (Natural Justice) was published in Tokyo, 1907; all of its compilers were Chinese intellectuals who were residing in Japan at that time. It was the first women\u27s magazine to advocate anarchism in modern China. Additionally, until March 1908, Tien Yee News published 19 volumes in total, which comprised a series with the largest number of issues among Chinese newspapers and periodicals printed overseas in the late Qing Period. Since Tien Yee News advocated both feminism and anarchism, it is an essential reference point for examining the spread of Marxism and the women\u27s rights movement in China. The overwhelming majority of research concerning Tien Yee News has emphasized anarchism, socialism or other revolutionary ideological thought. However, there exist few studies on the connection between Tien Yee News and the Japanese Socialist Party. However, there is much scope for studying the extent of Japan\u27s influence on Tien Yee News and beyond. This paper examines the background of the establishment of Tien Yee News, the influence it received from the Japanese Socialist Party, the editors who had acquired ideological knowledge in Japan, and who further disseminated that knowledge to their homeland China, following the trajectory of radical intellectual thought from Europe through Japan to China.東アジアの言語と表象 (East Asian languages and Representations

ABSTRACT: Mountains are rich in biodiversity, and butterflies are species-rich and have a good ecological and evolutionary research foundation. This review addresses the potential and progress of studying mountain biodiversity using butterflies as a model. We discuss the uniqueness of mountain ecosystems, factors influencing the distribution of mountain butterflies, representative genetic and evolutionary models in butterfly research, and evolutionary studies of mountain biodiversity involving butterfly genetics and genomics. Finally, we demonstrate the necessity of studying mountain butterflies and propose future perspectives. This review provides insights for studying the biodiversity of mountain butterflies as well as a summary of research methods for reference.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Until 1903, there were only about 10 Chinese female students studying in Japanese institutions. They were stationed in Tokyo. During their education exchange they formed first ever women\u27s organization. They called it; Riben liuxue nvxuesheng gongai hui. In Japanesse it was called 日本留学女学生共愛会. This coalition was formed in 1904. They found it difficult to start independent publications, so with the support of the male exchange students, they managed to set up a column in Jiangsu Magazine. Their column was called Jiangsu Nüxue lunwen otherwise known as Nüxue wencong. In Jiangsu Magazine (江蘇) it was referred to as 女学論文 or 文叢. Those 10 women managed to publish 12 articles in issues 3, 4, 5 & 6. Even though the magazine was not classified as women\u27s magazine as such, those first submissions were written by female authors and published in a foreign country, Bearing in mind the era such an achievement ought to be considered as notable. This paper examines the contents and advocacies of problems women at that time faced. The 12 articles analyse what kind of idealism was pursued by those early female Chinese exchange students in late Qing

Big Changes in How Students are Tested

For the past decade, school accountability has relied on tests for which the essential format has remained unchanged. Educators are familiar with the yearly testing routine: schools are given curriculum frameworks, teachers use the frameworks to guide instruction, students take one big test at year’s end which relies heavily upon multiple-choice bubble items, and then school leaders wait anxiously to find out whether enough of their students scored at or above proficiency to meet state standards. All this will change with the adoption of Common Core standards. Testing and accountability aren’t going away. Instead, they are developing and expanding in ways that aim to address many of the present shortcomings of state testing routines. Most importantly, these new tests will be computer-based. As such, they will potentially shorten testing time, increase tests’ precision, and provide immediate feedback to students and teachers

After suffering the devastation of the First Sino-Japanese War, Qing China began to reform itself, the aim of which was to guard against feudal control. During the process of educational reform, the success of the Japanese reforms under the Meiji government attracted the attention of a number of reform-minded Chinese. With the encouragement of the government, a growing number of Chinese began to pursue their studies abroad in Japan. This was the first time in Chinese history that Chinese women would seek an overseas education. These women would receive an advanced education in Japan. In tandem with the increased standing of women in the Western world, the status of these women was also on the rise. An increasing number of these young women would go on to reject traditional feminine roles and would work alongside their male counterparts in a number of reform motivated projects. Chinese New Feminine World Magazine was established in Tokyo during this period, and its circulation ranked number one compared to the other Chinese female periodicals published prior to 1911. The magazine editors were all female and the articles were aimed at a female readership. The aim of the magazine was to explicitly promote women\u27s issues and to raise the status of women. In recent years, the overwhelming majority of research concerning Chinese New Feminine World Magazine has emphasized the sophistication of the articles relating to women\u27s liberation. However, almost none of the secondary literature has looked at the influence of Japanese thought on the magazine. Women’s education in Japan was influenced greatly by Western models of education, and these new modes of thinking greatly influenced the young female Chinese students studying in Japan at the time. This paper analyzes the influence of Japanese thought on Chinese New Feminine World Magazine, and concludes that Japan did indeed exercise an enormous influence on Chinese women\u27s education.文部科学省グローバルCOEプログラム 関西大学文化交渉学教育研究拠点[東アジアの言語と表象
