    The Impact of Financial Accessibility on Technology Innovation of Vietnamese Enterprises

    This paper uses the World Bank 2015 enterprise survey data set, using probit regression and multinomial logit regression to study the relationship between financial accessibility and technology innovation strategy and technological innovation results of Vietnamese enterprises. This article explores the impact of financial accessibility on firms' ability to innovate successfully (including product innovation, process innovation, product and process innovation). Then, determine the impact of financial accessibility on innovation strategies (including internal technology development, external technology development through purchasing or collaborative research with outside institutions or company). Analysis of the data set shows that the difference the difference of Vietnamese enterprises is that they mainly innovate technology through internal research (39.9%), instead of technology from outside; process innovation rather than product innovation. We have found that firms with an overdraft or line of credit to be more innovative. We continue to show that relatively large-scale loans and informal loans does not limit firm’s innovation but, in turn, promotes innovation, especially through internal development. Bank loans support process innovation, while loans from family and friends actively support product innovation. Overall, the results of this article show that external finance plays an important role in enhancing the innovation capacities of Vietnamese firms. However, Matlab simulation proved that they were difficult to harmonize the stability and speed ability of system. In addition, in order to maximize the use of PV panels ‘power, the paper focused on aneonatalalgorithm for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). Based on the algorithm, this paper designed an improved and feasible variable step perturbation and observation method which well alleviated the conflict that the maximum power point tracking could not take into account the stability and speed of response efficiently

    Modal and strength analysis of coal mine mobile refuge chamber

    Structural strength, stiffness, etc. are essential safety performances of mine refuge chamber. In this article, the safety performance of the chamber which is under the impact load was evaluated by the method of numerical analysis. First of all, according to some relative standards, a chamber model was established by applying numerical modeling software. In this way, a method of finite element analysis (FEA) was instituted and we used AUTODUN to simulate the process of transmission of blast waves in the underworkings. On the basis of Fourier transform theory, the spectrum analysis of the blast waves acting on the chamber has been done. In order to obtain the natural frequency, a model analysis of the chamber was made by applying OPTISTRUCT. Then the main frequency and the natural frequency were compared. The result shows that the resonance will not happen so that the safety performance of the chamber meets the demand of engineering safety. The structural strength of the chamber was analyzed by using LS-DYNA, and the result comes out that the pressure throughout the chamber will not cause damage to the chamber. After that, according to the simulation results, we proposed some pieces of advice which will be meaningful for the design and the improvement of the chamber

    From Human Behavior to Machine Behavior

    A core pursuit of artificial intelligence is the comprehension of human behavior. Imbuing intelligent agents with a good human behavior model can help them understand how to behave intelligently and interactively in complex situations. Due to the increase in data availability and computational resources, the development of machine learning algorithms for duplicating human cognitive abilities has made rapid progress. To solve difficult scenarios, learning-based methods must search for solutions in a predefined but large space. Along with implementing a smart exploration strategy, the right representation for a task can help narrow the search process during learning. This dissertation tackles three important aspects of machine intelligence: 1) prediction, 2) exploration, and 3) representation. More specifically we develop new algorithms for 1) predicting the future maneuvers or outcomes in pilot training and computer architecture applications; 2) exploration strategies for reinforcement learning in game environments and 3) scene representations for autonomous driving agents capable of handling large numbers of dynamic entities. This dissertation makes the following research contributions in the area of representation learning. First, we introduce a new time series representation for flight trajectories in intelligent pilot training simulations. Second, we demonstrate a method, Temporally Aware Embedding (TAE) for learning an embedding that leverages temporal information extracted from data retrieval series. Third, the dissertation introduces GRAD (Graph Representation for Autonomous Driving) that incorporates the future location of neighboring vehicles into the decision-making process. We demonstrate the usage of our models for pilot training, cache usage prediction, and autonomous driving; however, believe that our new time series representations can be applied to many other types of modeling problems
