    MATLAB Real-time Data Acquisition for Laboratory Froth Flotation Automation

    In this paper analog input/output signals are used to control laboratory froth flotation machine using industrial panel PC. Dataacquisition is provided by two Advantech PCI cards, while flotation control is based on connection of adjustable frequency drivefurther connected to AC motor for agitation control, mass flow controller for air flow control, pH and temperature transmitters withaccording probes for pH and temperature logging respectively. Process control is provided by graphical user interface programmedin MATLAB.This practical engineering design allows researchers to set parameter values prior to flotation test as well as log and savemeasured values for further processing

    Tato bakalářské práce se zabývá finanční analýzou společnosti působící v těžkém průmyslu s názvem OKK Koksovny, a.s. Cílem práce bylo zjištění finančního stavu společnosti v letech 2017 až 2019. K dosažení cíle byly použity ukazatele finanční analýzy, které se zaměřují na různé oblasti finačního hospodaření společnosti. Mezi takové oblasti patří například likvidita, výnosnost nebo zadluženost. V závěru práce je shrnutí finanční analýzy a doporučení pro společnost navrhovaná autorem.The topic of this bachelor thesis is the financial analysis of the selected company OKK Koksovny, a.s. which operates in heavy industry. The objective was to assess the financial state of the company within the years 2017 to 2019. To reach that objective, many indicators focusing on different parts of the financial management have been used. The evaluated parts include e. g. market liquidity, rate of return or indebtedness.     Import 31/08/2009Diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem digitálního měřidla pro prokazování shody a přenášení rozměrů šířky kotoučů na obruče složených železničních kol. Praktická část práce se zaměřuje na konstrukční návrh měřidla. V úvodu návrhu jsou popsány možné varianty řešení měřidla z hlediska konstrukce a výroby. Ke zvolené variantě řešení měřidla je zhotovena výkresová dokumentace, včetně technologického postupu výroby a montáže měřidla. Součástí praktického řešení je ověření funkčnosti měřidla, provedení kalibrace, stanovení algoritmu nejistot a vypracování technických dodacích podmínek . Na závěr je provedeno vyhodnocení výsledků a praktické zhodnocení práce.The Diploma thesis describes the design of digital measuring instrument for demonstration of compliance and for transmission the dimensions of disks and hoops rail wheels. Practical part targets the design of the measuring instrument. At the beginning of the project are described various possibilities of design and manufacturing. After that was choosed the best version. For this version is made the drawing inclusive of the technological technique of production and assembly. One Part of the practical solution is verification the functionality of the measuring instrument, calibration, determination the algorithm of uncertainty and design of technical terms of delivery.     The paper deals with the calculation of the optimal traverse speed for diff erent types of materials, which is very important for predication, imaginings and dimensioning of technological factors and selection of the materials with the aim to increase of surface quality at abrasive waterjet cutting (AWJ) technology. The surface irregularities of the experimental used materials AISI 304, AISI 309 have been measured by non-contact shadow method. New empirically compiled equations of the infl uence of the traverse speed on tensometrical state of cut, deformation resistance of material and surface roughness Ra are at AWJ cutting available.Rad se bavi proračunom optimalne brzine rezanja za različite vrste materijala, što je vrlo važno za predikaciju, osmišljanje i dimenzioniranje tehnoloških čimbenika i izbor materijala s ciljem da se poveća kvaliteta površine reza tehnologijom abrazivnim vodenim mlazom (AWJ). Površinske nepravilnosti eksperimentalno korištenih materijala AISI 304, AISI 309 su mjerene bezkontaktnom metodom sjene. Dobivena je nova empirijska jednadžbe utjecaja brzine na tenzometrijsko stanje rezne površine, deformacijsku otpornost materijala i površinsku hrapavost Ra kod AWJ rezanja

    A simple, yet powerfull tool for plotting cumulative percent oversize against particle size while using combination of a logarithmicand double logarithmic axis (RR diagram) is here proposed. It has direct support for line approximation and thus RRdistribution parameters determination, along with ability to calculate oversize product from particle size value and vice versa. Aninsight of different approaches of RR size distribution parameters calculation is here given, along with an approach of graphing RRdiagram. MATLABR was used as a programming language for computation and graphical user interface design. The direct resultof this work is a public accessible file covered by the BSD License

    Large magnetocaloric effect in fine Gd2O3 nanoparticles embedded in porous silica matrix

    The magnetocaloric properties of a composite material consisting of isolated GdO nanoparticles with a diameter of 6-8 nm embedded in the pores of a mesoporous silica matrix have been studied. The fascinating nanostructure and composition were properly characterized by small angle X-ray scattering, X-ray absorption near edge structure, and TEM. Almost ideal paramagnetic behavior of the material was observed in the temperature range of 1.8-300 K. When compared to various nanosystems, the presented composite exhibits an extraordinarily large magnetic entropy change of 40 J/kg K for a field variation of 0-5 T at cryogenic temperature (3 K). Considering only the mass of the GdO nanoparticle fraction, this corresponds to 120 J/kg K. Calculated refrigerant capacities are 100 J/kg and 400 J/kg for the composite and nanoparticles, respectively. Our findings suggest that the combination of the unique porous structure of amorphous silica with fine gadolinium oxide nanoparticles and high value of magnetic entropy change enables to extend the application of the GdO@SiO composite, to cryomagnetic refrigeration.
