Yaw Rate and Sideslip Control using PID Controller for Double Lane Changing
Vehicle behavior and stability can be observed through the computer simulation using mathematical modeling approach consist the configuration of vehicle multibody system. This paper presents the estimation and control of the yaw rate and sideslip through vehicle lateral dynamic model with a PID controller. The stability analysis is conducted to a single-input-two-outputs (SITO) plant of front-steering-only vehicle model to observe the system response during double lane changing maneuver with constant speeds of 40 km/h and 90 km/h. Results show that a single-input-single-output (SISO) PID controller able to enhance the cornering limit by reducing the sideslip and optimized the yaw rate, especially for slow speed vehicle in order to maintain its stability states
Electric filed intensity of the lightning strikes on lightning air terminals installed on building structures
Lightning activities are growing up rapidly with global warming. It can affect anything on the earth. All the constructed buildings need proper protection from the harmful effect of lightning. Lightning strike points on different geometrical shapes have been investigated. Lightning strike distribution of different building structure is very important to be studied. In order to analyse the maximum effect of lightning strike pattern is obtained of different air terminals installed on scaled building structures. High voltage impulse generator is used in order to get the impulse voltage. Different numbers of air terminals have been applied to all the shapes in order to see the lightning strike points. Electric field is obtained in order to see its minimum and maximum effect on the entire building structure. Interestingly the phenomenon of lightning air terminal bypasses has been proved in this paper
Magnetic field measurement from 132 kv and 275 kv overhead transmission lines within residential area
Overhead transmission line (OTL) has been around for so many years as one of the most important elements of electric
power systems. Conductors, as being a part of the medium to transfer electricity through the OTL, produces electromagnetic field
to its surrounding that have been a public concern for ages. OTL were meant to be built as far away from a population. Though
from time to time, the OTL rights-of-way (ROW) were violated due to lack of space and rapid urbanization. This paper addresses
the challenges faced during magnetic field level measurement within a residential area that was still under construction. EMDEX
II Meter, Linear Data Acquisition System (LINDA) Wheel and Gauss Meter were used during the magnetic field measurements.
Maximum magnetic field level data collected from measurement were presented

EMANCIPATORY DISCOURSE IN CAROL ANN DUFFY’S THE WORLD’S WIFE
Purpose: This study examines Carol Ann Duffy’s unique discourse of rewriting and telling old stories, fairy tales, and myths that represent female characters as marginalized, inactive, and weak.
Methodology: A qualitative research design was adopted to investigate the pervasive shifts of restructuring female convictions, configurations, and identity in selected poems from Duffy’s The World’s Wife. The research data in this paper is drawn from two main sources: literary books and articles.
Main Findings: The analysis unravels Duffy’s feminist attitude in her poetic collection to reveal how she used her poems as weapons to fight against female marginalization. Simultaneously, the study critiques the traditional patterns of feminist thinking with origins in history and myths that are still prevalent in Western culture.
Applications: This paper can be used by literary scholars and students.
Novelty/Originality: In this research, female characters were explored in the light of Simon de Beauvoir’s concept of the other from her book The Second Sex and Hélène Caxias’s critical notions postulated as écriture feminine
Reading Carol Ann Duffy’s “Politics” through unnatural ecopoetics
Carol Ann Duffy is one of the most notable poets in contemporary English poetry. In accordance with her poetic
dexterity, she was appointed as Great Britain’s Poet Laureate in 2009. This study deals with Duffy’s “Politics,”
which was introduced in The Bees (2011), her first collection published after having been named Poet
Laureate. In this poem, the poet tackled natural and unnatural imagery resultant from diverse experiences. This
study proposes that the material environment surrounding Carol Ann Duffy is intertwined with her nonmaterial
environment in “Politics.” This argument runs parallel with the concept of unnatural ecopoetics, which is
considered to be a new direction in ecopoetics in examining contemporary poetry. The current study argues that
the poet’s ideology after becoming poet laureate and also her experience as a Scottish, feminist, bisexual poet
have all together configured a kind of nonmaterial environment intertwined with the material world or nature in
the textual space through “Politics”. This assumption is not far from Sarah Nolan’s concept of Unnatural
Ecopoetics in her book Unnatural Ecopoetics: Unlikely Spaces of Contemporary Poetry (2017). So, this study is
conducted in the light of Nolan’s concept, which denotes the relations between the human, natural, and
unnatural environments and the language in the poetic text. Accordingly, more focus will be on the poet’s
experiences, memories, ideology, and feelings which inspired her to symbolize nature in another dimension in
“Politics” as an unnatural ecopoetics poem
Electrical withstand performance of Malaysian based palm oil under influence of HVDC stress
Overvoltage is a phenomenon where electrical waveform applied to circuit or device exceeds normal operating parameters. The sources of overvoltage are often unpredictable and can lead to permanent degradation, failure or temporary malfunction of devices and systems. Equipment running with HVDC needs to be equipped with a proper protection system and insulation strength properties better than typically being rated to the HVAC system
Safety compliance for hihg rise projects in Nigerian construction Industry
Health and safety issues had always been a major challenge and concern in the construction industry. Construction is found to be one of the most dangerous on health and safety practice, predominantly in developing countries. As construction accidents continue to dominate the overall construction industry. Despite the programs implemented by government and measures introduced by companies the number of high rise construction accidents still remains alarmingly. This research aim to investigate the safety compliance for high rise construction project in Nigeria. In achieving this aim three (3) objectives has been outlined; to investigate the current level of compliance to safety practice and policies in Nigerian construction site. To investigate the factors that prevent the compliance to safety and health practices in high rise projects of Nigerian construction industry. To recommend appropriate ways to improve the compliance to safety in high rise of Nigerian construction. The interview and questionnaire method was used in this research. Structured Questionnaires was distributed to 108 potential respondents from the construction industry players 90 was returned and Qualitative interview have been conducted to meet the first objective of the project, to investigate the current level of compliance to safety practice In addition, structured interviews were carried out with selected managers from construction industry. The result shows that Bribery and corruption, Lack of training, Absence of safety representatives, Lack of corporate responsibility & Accountability, Weak legal structure were the significant factors affecting safety. Compliance. The result also indicate that Site inspection, Safety seminars (enforcement officers), Building codes of practice, Enforcement of safety act, Workers/labourers training are the effective factors that could improve compliance to safety practice in high rise project of Nigerian construction industry. It is recommended that relevant authorities should checkmate the Safety practices in the Nigerian construction industry
Improvement of the SAG ampacity carrying level of existing 275 KV overhead line tower by using the re-conductoring approach
Urban cities grown in population day by day, proportionally to the electricity demand. The existence of the right of ways and the decreasing of land space to build new overhead transmission line towers, other criterion had to be observed. Other than upgrading towers, re-conductoring can be pursued if it does not violates the right of ways in any aspect. This project compares available conductors in the market to determine which will provide better performance in terms of current and sag for 275 kV lattice tower
The demographic history of Palestine during the British administration (1917-1948) based on the official records of Palestine demography
One of the physical transformations during the time of British Administration of Palestine occurred demographically, as a land that was once inhabited by a majority of Arabs was completely transferred into a Jewish dominated region in the space of only three decades and which had made possible the formation of the state of Israel. This paper will discuss different official records that provide information on the population of Palestine during the British Mandate and several matters pertaining to the sources of the selected data. This article will mostly be expository and focused on the historical records, while the related events warranted a more lengthy discussion and thus is beyond its scope. The method applied in this study is the historical method. The findings highlight some of the issues that exist within the scope of Palestine demographic study, particularly from the historical perspective
