    Dampak Bantuan Sosial Penguatan Lembaga Distribusi Pangan Masyarakat (P-ldpm) terhadap Kinerja Gapoktan di Kecamatan Natar Kabupaten Lampung Selatan

    This research aims to assess the impact of P-LDPM on Gapoktan performances and rice farmers incomes member of Gapoktan in Natar District South Lampung Regency. The sample of this research includes two Gapoktan's chairman, and 26 rice farmers from Gapoktan Pendowo (P-LDPM recipient) and Gapoktan Mekar Sari (non P-LDPM recipient). The data collection was conducted from April to May 2015. Performance of Gapoktan was analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis; income of rice farmers was analyzed by independent t-test of two samples. The result of this research showed that P-LDPM gave impact on Gapoktan performance. This could be seen from the recipient of P-LDPM Gapoktan performance that showed a good performance, in two performance indicators set by the Ministry of Agriculture in 2013. While, non recipients P-LDPM Gapoktan only showed good performance in one indicator. Income of the farmer was not impacted by P-LDPM yet, this could be seen from the results of independent t-test of two samples analysis that showed no significant difference in the average income per hectare between recipients and non-recipients of Gapoktan members

    Kualitas Daging Se’i Sapi yang Diproses Menggunakan Buah Belimbing Wuluh (Averrhoa bilimbi Linn) Kering Matahari

    Penelitian ini telah dilakukan untuk mengkaji penggunaan buah belimbing wuluh (Averrhoa bilimbi Linn) kering matahari terhadap kualitas daging se’i sapi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor pola 4x4 yang terdiri dari 4 faktor level pemberian buah belimbing wuluh kering matahari 0% (kontrol), 1,5%, 3%, 4,5% (w/w) dan 4 faktor lama penyimpanan 7 hari, 14 hari, 21 hari dan 28 hari. Kombinasi Kedua faktor ini menghasilkan 16 kombinasi setiap perlakuan terdiri atas 3 ulangan, dengan demikian akan diperoleh 48 unit. Parameter yang diukur dalam penelitian adalah pH, oksidasi lemak (TBA), aktivitas antioksidan, total plate count (TPC). Data analisis menggunakan Anova, apabila berpangaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) dilakukan uji lanjut Duncan untuk mengetahui perbedaan diantara perlakuan dengan software SPSS 23. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa interaksi antara faktor level buah belimbing wuluh kering matahari dan faktor lama penyimpanan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap pH, oksidasi lemak (TBA), aktivitas antioksidan, total plate count (TPC). Level pemberian buah belimbing wuluh kering matahari 4,5% memberikan hasil tertinggi pada aktivitas antioksidan, dan nilai terendah pada pH, oksidasi lemak (TBA) dan total plate count (TPC). Pada level 1,5% sampai 4,5% menekan laju oksidasi lemak (TBA) dan total plate count (TPC) pada setiap lama penyimpanan hari ke 7, 14, 21 dan 28, sebaliknya pada nilai aktivitas antioksidan cenderung meningkat seiring penambahan level buah belimbing kering matahari pada lama penyimpanan yang berbeda

    Estimation of temperature and electron density in stainless steel plasma using laser induced breakdown spectroscopy

    LIBS plasma produced by a 1064 nm Q-switched Nd:YAG laser in an atmospheric pressure was studied for the stainless steel sample. The laser output energy 150 mJ with pulse duration of 6 ns. The plasma emission spectrum was recorded by the LR1 Spectrometer connected to the fibre optic. The plasma temperature and electron density of each element were estimated by time-resolved spectroscopy of neutral atom and ion line emission. The plasma temperature was obtained from the Boltzmann plot method and their electron density was determined by using Saha-Boltzmann equation method. The preliminary qualitative LIBS analysis shows that several elements contained in the stainless steel. The element detected was Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, and Cr. The results shows that Mn and Fe has the highest plasma temperature of 1.2 eV, but the electron density of Mn was the highest with value 4.6x1020 cm-3, while the Cu has the lowest temperature that is 0.73 eV with the electron density 2.8x1017 cm-3.     The waste of oil palm trunks be redundant is alternative basic commodity manufacture particleboards. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of particle board made from oil palm trunk with variation of urea formaldehyde adhesives and padding Styrofoam particle board. The variation using for the urea formaldehyde adhesives and padding Styrofoam was 100 : 0 %, 90 :10%, 80 :20%, 70 : 30% and 60 :40 %. The boards were made with size 25 cm x 25 cm x 1 cm with density of 0,70% g/cm3. Particleboards using 10% and press 25 kg/cm2 by the padding Styrofoam. The temperatures was 1300 and the pressing times was 10 minute. Particleboards was tested for physical and mechanical properties.The results showed that although the density values ​​ranged from 0.565 - 0.627 g/cm ³, the water content of 7.45 - 8.23​​ %, DSA ​​81.66 - 111.84%, PT 9.99 to 16.35% MOE 6419.87 - 8660.58 kg/cm2, MOR 53.638 - 81.167 kg/cm2 and IB 0.85 - 6.11 kg/cm2. Entire physical properties have fulfilled to SNI 03-2105-2006 standards. All the mechanical properties have not fulfilled to the standards except internal bond with SNI 03-2015-2006 100 treatment: 0 % and 90: 10 %

    The Students\u27 Language Learning Strategies In English Foreign Language (Efl) Reading

    This research aims to describe the frequency of language learningstrategies used by students in EFL reading. The participants in this research are the fifth semester students of English Study Program of Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Tanjungpura University in Academic Year 2013/2014. The data were derived through questionnaire and interview for getting deeper and sharper information. The data was analyzed by using mean score calculation which is followed by ranking every category into high user, medium user, and low user. The finding reveals that it puts the students in overall at medium category user. Also, the result highlights metacognitive strategy as the most frequent strategy used with average 3.6, and followed respectively by cognitive (3.5), compensation (3.4), social (3.1), affective (3.0), and memory strategy (2.9)

    Substation system simulation models for transformer risk assessment analysis

    This paper comprises a study which is carried out to investigate and evaluate the effect of lightning stresses on the 132 kV substation in the way to improve its reliability in the event of active lightning activities. The paper also detailed the modelling parameters of substation for this transient analysis in order to evaluate the performance and to recommend such configuration to optimize its design to be not only to withstand the stresses but to be more cost effective. The modelling and simulation are carried out using one of the most powerful power system simulations tools that is PSCAD-EMTDC and the substation layout design is adapted from 132/11 kV Simpang Renggam -- Ayer Hitam substation, courtesy of TNB. The model is based on single phase line model as it was suggested by the IEEE to be adequate to represent the substation in transient analysis simulation. The outcome of this paper would be the results of lightning stresses in term of voltage level measured at particular points in substation. The results are then compared with the suggested BIL for assessment of transformer failure

    Two independent mol­ecules comprise the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C12H11N3O2. These differ in terms of the relative orientations of the benzene rings as seen in the respective dihedral angles formed between the pyridine and benzene rings [17.42 (16) and 34.64 (16)°]. Both mol­ecules are twisted about the amine–tolyl N—C bonds [respective torsion angles = 22.3 (5) and 35.9 (5)°] but only about the amine–pyridine N—C bond in the first independent mol­ecule [respective torsion angles = −11.7 (5) and 0.8 (5)°]. Intra­molecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds preclude the amine H atoms from forming significant inter­molecular inter­actions. The crystal packing features inter­molecular C—H⋯O and C—H⋯π and π–π [centroid–centroid distance: pyridine–benzene = 3.6442 (19) Å and pyridine–pyridine = 3.722 (2) Å] contacts
