Comparing Quality Parameters of Yarn Produced by Ring, Rotor, and Compact Spinning System
The end use of a garment depends on the properties of a fabric. A fabric property depends on the properties of the constituent yarn. With the diversification of the market, spinners are forced to produce quality yarn. For this reason, conventional hand spinning has been converted to modern system gradually. Ring spinning, Rotor spinning, and compact spinning are widely used spinning system. Ring spinning is the universal spinning system covering the largest area of yarn production. The yarn produced by Ring, Compact, and rotor spinning systems belongs to different structures and properties. Yarn produced Ne 22's, 100% cotton yarn from the above systems, and their properties were tested by UT5 and Titan Universal strength tester. However, this paper focuses on comparing the yarn properties (U%, CmV%, Imperfection, Hairiness, Strength, and elongation) of ring, compact, and rotor spun yarn. Also, it has been observed that yarn produced by compact spinning system revealed highest strength and elongation, least hairiness, and mass irregularity than the other two spinning systems. In addition, it has been observed that rotor spun yarn displayed less mass irregularity than ring spun yarn
Efficiency Measurement of General Activities of One Stop Crisis Centre: A Study on Khulna Medical College Hospital, Bangladesh
The present study was an attempt to find out the efficiency level of general activities of OCC in KMCH. This study based on the primary and the secondary data concludes that the efficient organizational practices can remove the inefficiency of the organization for a long time and vice versa. The author considered eight activities followed by OCC in KMCH. The hypotheses were developed in the light of objectives of this study, where, H0= there is no difference between observed mean and expected mean of each organizational activity as well as H1= there is difference between mean of each organizational activity. Moreover, z value has been calculated for testing hypothesis by using the formula: where three variables (Medical treatment, Social welfare service, Security by OCC police) were rejected and rests of five variables such as Legal examination, Psychological counseling, Legal counseling, Rehabilitation, and Temporary Shelter are accepted. So OCC should improve all of the accepted activities for ensuring the smooth service for the victim. Key Word: Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH), One Stop Crisis Centre (OCC), Violence against Women (VAW
Should we have voluntary censorship code for Netflix?
NETFLIX allows customers to watch television shows, movies, documentaries on Internet-connected devices, such as tablets, computers, mobile phones and smart TVs.
What is worrying is that Netflix is broadcasting original programmes without censorship.
Malaysia has the Film Censorship Act 2002 to protect people from the negative influence that can result from watching uncensored films
Measuring Customer Satisfaction of Mobile Phone Users: A Comparative Study between Grameen Phone and Teletalk Based on Khulna City, Bangladesh
The present study is basically an attempt to examine the customer satisfaction toward the existing attributes of Grameen phone and Teletalk based on Fishbeinรขโฌโขs Multi-Atribute Attitude Model. Twenty factors have been considered for justifying the result of this study. The research is based on the primary data. 200 respondents have been selected randomly from different areas of Khulna City in Bangladesh. In this study, the hypotheses were developed in the light of objectives of this study, where, H0 = there is no difference between mean of each attribute of Grameen phone and Teletalk, and H1 = there is difference between mean of each attribute of Grameen phone and Teletalk,. It has found that overall customer attitude toward Grameen Phone is 166.1923, whereas Teletalk is 78.939. In most of the cases (17 out of 20), customers show positive attitude towards Grameen Phone than that of Teletalk. Key Words: Customer Satisfaction, Multi-Attribute Attitude Model
Computational fluid dynamics modelling of PEM fuel cells to investigate transport limitations.
Modern technological advancements in our lifestyle have caused a significant increase in the consumption of energy. With this growing demand, people are more concerned about the rational use of existing limited energy and searching for alternative forms of environmentally friendly energy sources to reduce polluting emissions. Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell has shown and demonstrated that potential to be a suitable alternative power source because of its simplicity of design, load following capabilities, efficiency, feasibility and quick start-up. Although having these splendid advantages, cost and durability of PEM fuel cells are one of the major challenges that needed to be overcome. Three-dimensional single-phase and multi-phase isothermal PEM fuel cell models have been developed to investigate the transport limitations of fresh reactants and its effect on cell performance. The governing equations (continuity, momentum and species transport) with appropriate source terms were solved using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technique. A user defined function (UDF) code was developed considering source terms for porous zones, effective diffusivity models for species transport inside cells and electrochemical reactions at catalyst layers to predict cell voltage at an average current density. The average current density and net water transfer coefficient, used to calculate the source terms, were calculated using auxiliary equations and linked to the solver through UDFs. Parametric studies were performed to determine the optimal operating conditions and geometrical design of PEM fuel cell. The simulation results show that gas diffusion layer permeability has no effect on cell performance for a value lower than 10-11 m2. GDL porosity is one of the major design parameters which have significant influence on limiting current density, hence on cell performance. Land area width of PEM fuel cell shows influence on cell performance. Low membrane thickness provides higher cell performance and approximately 50% reduction in membrane thickness results approximately 100% improvement in cell performance at high current density of 1.0 Acm-2. Bruggeman correlation was used in most of previous modelling work for explaining the diffusion of species though porous GDL and CL, but this thesis considered other types of effective diffusion models and investigated the effect of diffusion models on cell performance at high current densities. Tomadakis and Sotirchos (1993) anisotropic model produces cell voltage much closer to the experimental values. Therefore, anisotropic diffusion model should be utilized in PEM fuel cell modelling to minimize modelling uncertainties. A two-phase flow, steady-state, three-dimensional PEM fuel cell model considering the phase change effect of water has been developed in the final phase of the thesis. Flooding inside the cell was captured at high current density using the model for a condensation value of 10.0 s-1. Finally, parametric studies were performed based on isotropic and anisotropic GDL permeability cases. Modelling results suggest that isotropic permeability cases have strong influence on cell performance compared to anisotropic cases at high current density
Organ Donation and Transplantation Issues in Islam and Present Situation
All of the major faiths including Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism, and Sikhism support organ donation and transplantation. Recent advances in the field of organ donation and organ transplant have introduced new hope for the treatment of serious diseases. Most of the people of many religions still believe that organ donation is prohibited by religion but it not true.ย This article has tried to focus that; organ donation is not prohibited by Islam. In addition, religions encourage people to help each other. This article has also tried to encourage people to donate organ. Basically, I discuss based on Quran and Hadith of Prophet Mohammad (SWA).ย It is qualitative research.ย Primary and secondary resources are used in this paper. The information has been taken from many readings, articles, books, and status. Many people are dying every day for lacking of organ. For example, in the year 2000, more than 5,500 Americans died awaiting transplants and there are currently over 80,000 people awaiting transplants. So that, most of the government and religious scholar are encouraging people to donate organ. Keywords: Organ donation, Transplantation, Islam, Human organ, Patient
