CSF Bypass Surgery in Children with Hydrocephalus: Modern Possibilities, Prospects and Ways of Solving the Correction of Complications
The chapter discusses modern and promising approaches to the use of CSF shunting operations in children. CSF shunting operations remain the only effective method for correcting persistent CSF circulation disorders in CSF resorption disorders with the development of intracranial hypertension and hydrocephalus. The chapter is devoted to general ideas about CSF dynamics and biomechanical properties of the craniospinal system that affect CSF dynamics, and gives a pathogenetic assessment of CSF dynamics in the development of intracranial hypertension and hydrocephalus. Aspects of genetics and genomics of anomalies in hydrocephalus are touched upon. Pathological changes in the brain around old ventricular shunts are described. The authors consider the types of CSF shunting operations for hydrocephalus in children. Possible complications of CSF shunting operations are analyzed with the algorithm for their correction and management tactics for this group of patients

The article proposes an original system of indicators, including financial performance indicators, digital development efficiency indicators, and bank competitiveness indicators. On the basis of systematic and integrated approaches, index methods and the formed system of indicators, a methodology for rating the competitiveness of banks in the Republic of Belarus has been developed. A correlation analysis of competitiveness indices was carried out. The results of the assessment are presented and recommendations for their practical use are given. Based on the results of the assessment, the top 5 banks were identified in terms of such indicators as the Digital Development Efficiency Index and the Bank Competitiveness Index, and the reasons that led to the leadership of these banks were identified. On the basis of the study, a methodology for assessing the effectiveness of development and competitiveness of banks in the Republic of Belarus was formed, which takes into account the peculiarities of the functioning and development of Belarusian banks.Π ΡΡΠ°ΡΡΠ΅ ΠΏΡΠ΅Π΄Π»ΠΎΠΆΠ΅Π½Π° ΠΎΡΠΈΠ³ΠΈΠ½Π°Π»ΡΠ½Π°Ρ ΡΠΈΡΡΠ΅ΠΌΠ° ΠΏΠΎΠΊΠ°Π·Π°ΡΠ΅Π»Π΅ΠΉ, Π²ΠΊΠ»ΡΡΠ°ΡΡΠ°Ρ ΡΠΈΠ½Π°Π½ΡΠΎΠ²ΡΠ΅ ΠΏΠΎΠΊΠ°Π·Π°ΡΠ΅Π»ΠΈ Π΄Π΅ΡΡΠ΅Π»ΡΠ½ΠΎΡΡΠΈ, ΠΏΠΎΠΊΠ°Π·Π°ΡΠ΅Π»ΠΈ ΡΡΡΠ΅ΠΊΡΠΈΠ²Π½ΠΎΡΡΠΈ ΡΠΈΡΡΠΎΠ²ΠΎΠ³ΠΎ ΡΠ°Π·Π²ΠΈΡΠΈΡ ΠΈ ΠΏΠΎΠΊΠ°Π·Π°ΡΠ΅Π»ΠΈ ΠΊΠΎΠ½ΠΊΡΡΠ΅Π½ΡΠΎΡΠΏΠΎΡΠΎΠ±Π½ΠΎΡΡΠΈ Π±Π°Π½ΠΊΠΎΠ². Crrections by melatonin of liver mitochondrial disorders under diabetes and acute intoxication in rats
Melatonin, disorder
Hepatotoxic efects of acetaminophen. Protective properties of tryptophan-derivatives
Rat intoxication with acetaminophen (APAP) (500β1500 mg/kg body weight, intragastrically) caused a considerable dose dependent decrease in reduced glutathione (GSH) level in both liver cell cytoplasm and mitochondria (at the dose 1500 mg/kg body weight by 60% and 33%, respectively). The decrease in cytoplasmic GSH level was more pronounced than in mitochondria. Despite of significant mitochondrial GSH depletion we did not observe any inactivation of the mitochondrial enzymes: succinate dehydrogenase, Ξ±-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase, glutathione peroxidase, and also any decrease in the respiratory activity of liver mitochondria isolated from APAP-intoxicated rats. We have investigated hepatoprotector properties of tryptophan derivatives, melatonin and N-acetyl-nitrosotryptophan (a nitric oxide donor). The pineal gland hormone, melatonin, a known antioxidant (10 mg/kg body weight), did not prevent intramitochondrial GSH, but decreased the APAP hepatotoxicity evaluated as the decrease in the activity of marker enzymes of hepatic damage, ALT and AST and total bilirubin content in blood plasma of intoxicated rats, whereas NNT did not exhibit any hepatoprotective effects
