Risk Assessment of Work Accidents Among Loading and Unloading Workers at Terminal III (Ocean-going) of the Port of Tanjung Priok

Loading and unloading activities involved in removing and loading goods from ship to port or vice versa are associated with a high risk of work accidents. This loading and unloading activity includes several different processes, such as stevedoring, cargodoring, receiving, and delivery. The aim of this descriptive research study is to identify the risks and hazards associated with loading and unloading processes at Tanjung Priok Port Terminal III. Occupational accident and occupational health hazards data were collected using the HIRA method. Health and safety interventions play a critical role in finding and minimizing or eliminating existing risks, so that port workers can maximize their health and safety at work, and the company can profit maximallyfrom its workers’ excellent service. IMPLEMENTATION OF THE FULFILLMENT OF CHILD SUPPORT AFTER DIVORCE AT THE SUKADANA RELIGIOUS COURT OF LAMPUNG PROVINCE (Sociology of Law Perspective)

Child support is an obligation that arises because of the marriage bond. A father is obliged to meet the needs of the child's life until adulthood, even if there is a divorce. However, at the Sukadana Religious Court, this did not happen, there were still many fathers who neglected to provide for their children after the divorce decision was made. This is what becomes interesting for further research using the empirical legal approach method, data collection methods using interviews and documentation. This study will analyze the perspective of the sociology of law and draw conclusions using inductive and deductive thinking frameworks. The results of this study indicate that there are still children whose livelihood rights are not fulfilled in accordance with what has been stipulated in the decision of the Sukadana Religious Court. The father only carries out his obligations a few times in providing a support for the child and the amount given is not in accordance with what is stipulated in the court decision. This happens due to two factors: internal factors and external factors. So that this causes the ineffectiveness of implementing laws and regulations related to children's livelihoods

Peningkatan Kemampuan Siswa Menyelesaikan Soal Matematika Berbahasa Inggris Menggunakan Lembar Kerja Siswa Bilingual Di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 1 Muara Enim

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menyelesaikansoal matematika berbahasa Inggris melalui penggunaan LKS Bilingual dalampembelajaran matematika di kelas X-C SMA Negeri 1 Muara Enim. Penelitian inimenggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas. Pembuatan instrumen penelitianmenggunakan konsep penelitian pengembangan, sampai dengan tahap smallgroup, serta desain Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X.C SMA Negerin 1Muara Enim, berjumlah 34 orang. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakanmetode walk through, tes hasil belajar, observasi, dokumentasi, dan angket.Analisis data penelitian menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Khusus untuksoal tes digunakan analisis validitas dan reliabilitas soal tes. Berdasarkan hasilpenelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan LKS Bilingual dalampembelajaran matematika di kelas X-C SMA Negeri 1 Muara Enim dapatmeningkatkan kemampuan siswa menyelesaikan soal matematika berbahasaInggris. Indikator keberhasilan dalam penelitian ini adalah meningkatnyakemampuan siswa Kelas X-C SMA Negeri 1 Muara Enim dalam menyelesaikansoal matematika berbahasa Inggris dengan pencapaian kriteria ketuntasan minimal(KKM) mata pelajaran matematika sebesar 75% oleh sekurang-kurangnya 80%siswa tercapai. Banyaknya siswa yang mencapai KKM di atas, pada siklus Isebanyak 79% dan pada siklus II sebanyak 88%. Penulis menyarankan beberapahal, yaitu: 1) LKS Bilingual kiranya dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu sumberbelajar yang dapat memberikan siswa kesempatan untuk mengkonstruksi sendiripengetahuannya, dan 2) para guru matematika, ataupun guru mata pelajaran lain,dapat menggunakan atau mengembangkan LKS Bilingual ini dalam kegiatanpembelajaran pada mata pelajaran masing-masing dan dapat menjadikannyasebagai motivasi untuk mengembangkan profesinya

Kajian Pola-pola Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Sekitar Hutan Produksi dalam Mencegah Illegal Logging

Pola-pola pemberdayaan masyarakat sebagai upaya meningkatkan kondisi sosial ekonomi sudah banyak dilakukan. Namun apakah efektif untuk mencegah illegal logging belum banyak diungkapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengkaji program pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pola Pembinaan Masyarakat Desa Hutan (PMDH) 2) mengkaji program pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pola kemitraan; dan (3) mengkaji efektifitas pola pemberdayaan dalam mencegah illegal logging di kawasan hutan produksi. Data indikator pencapaian pemberdayaan yang digunakan adalah (1) Pendapatan masyarakat, (2) Distribusi pendapatan (pengeluaran), dan (3) Penyerapan tenaga kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberdayaan masyarakat dengan pola kemitraan effektif dalam upaya pencegahan illegal logging. Untuk itu pemberdayaan masyarakat dengan pola kemitraan dapat terus dilaksanakan dalam upaya pencegahan illegal logging

Pelatihan Penyusunan Laporan Keuangan di UD Sinar Berkah Untuk Mengetahui Potensi Dan Kelayakan Pengembangan Usaha

UD Sinar Berkah merupakan usaha kecil menengah yang secara operasional dijalankan menggunakan cara tradisional, termasuk untuk penyusunan lapoan keuangannya. UD Sinar Berkah tidak mengetahui secara pasti potensi usaha dan juga kelayakan usahannya Hal terebut menjadi permasalahan yang harus diselesaikan, sehingga dilakukan pengabdian masyakarat pada UD Sinar  Berkah dengan tujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan penyusunan laporan keuangan agar mapu menganalisa kelayakan pengembangan usahanya. Data untuk penyusunan laporan keuangan, diperoleh dari hasil wawancara langsung dengan pihak pengelola UD Sinar Berkah. Penyusunan laporan keuangan dilakukan menggunakan Ms excel dengan mengintegrasikan laporan keuangan mulai dari investasi awal, sumber dana, perhitungan biaya operasiona,  laporan rugi raba, arus kas, penentuan harga pokok produksi dan analisa kelayakannya. Hasil penyusunan laporan keuangan menunjukkan bahwa net present value (NPV) > 0 (NPV = Rp 420.342.180 dengan discount factor 18% dan present value 18%), internal rate of return (IRR) mencapai 21%, keuntungan/biaya bersih (Net B/C) > 1 (Net B/C = 6) artinya usaha tersebut layak secara finansial. Berdasarkan analisa yang diperoleh dari hasil penyusunan laporan keuangan, pengelola UD Sinar berkah dapat melanjutkan kegiatan usahanya karena mempunyai peluang yang besar untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat

Co-pyrolysis of Rice Husk with Underutilized Biomass Species: A Sustainable Route for Production of Precursors for Fuels and Valuable Chemicals

In this study, co-pyrolysis of rice husk with underutilized biomass, Napier grass and sago waste was carried out in a fixed bed reactor at 600 �C, 30 �C/min and 5 L/min nitrogen flowrate. Two-phase bio-oil (organic and aqueous) was collected and characterized using standard analytical techniques. 34.13–45.55 wt% total boil-oil yield was recorded using assorted biomass compared to pure risk husk biomass with 31.51 wt% yield. The organic phase consist mainly benzene derivatives with higher proportion in the oil from the co-pyrolysis process relative to the organic phase from the pyrolysis of the individual biomass while the aqueous phase in all cases was predominantly water, acids, ketones, aldehydes, sugars and traces of phenolics. This study has demonstrated a good approach towards increasing valorization of rice husk in a single reaction step for the production of high grade bio-oil, which can be transformed into fuel and valuable chemicals

A Dopaminergic Gene Cluster in the Prefrontal Cortex Predicts Performance Indicative of General Intelligence in Genetically Heterogeneous Mice

Background: Genetically heterogeneous mice express a trait that is qualitatively and psychometrically analogous to general intelligence in humans, and as in humans, this trait co-varies with the processing efficacy of working memory (including its dependence on selective attention). Dopamine signaling in the prefrontal cortex (PFC) has been established to play a critical role in animals ’ performance in both working memory and selective attention tasks. Owing to this role of the PFC in the regulation of working memory, here we compared PFC gene expression profiles of 60 genetically diverse CD-1 mice that exhibited a wide range of general learning abilities (i.e., aggregate performance across five diverse learning tasks). Methodology/Principal Findings: Animals ’ general cognitive abilities were first determined based on their aggregate performance across a battery of five diverse learning tasks. With a procedure designed to minimize false positive identifications, analysis of gene expression microarrays (comprised of <25,000 genes) identified a small number (,20) of genes that were differentially expressed across animals that exhibited fast and slow aggregate learning abilities. Of these genes, one functional cluster was identified, and this cluster (Darpp-32, Drd1a, and Rgs9) is an established modulator of dopamine signaling. Subsequent quantitative PCR found that expression of these dopaminegic genes plus one vascular gene (Nudt6) were significantly correlated with individual animal’s general cognitive performance.
