    Equine sarcoids: Bovine Papillomavirus type 1 transformed fibroblasts are sensitive to cisplatin and UVB induced apoptosis and show aberrant expression of p53

    Bovine papillomavirus type 1 infects not only cattle but also equids and is a causative factor in the pathogenesis of commonly occurring equine sarcoid tumours. Whilst treatment of sarcoids is notoriously difficult, cisplatin has been shown to be one of the most effective treatment strategies for sarcoids. In this study we show that in equine fibroblasts, BPV-1 sensitises cells to cisplatin-induced and UVB-induced apoptosis, a known cofactor for papillomavirus associated disease, however BPV-1 transformed fibroblasts show increased clonogenic survival, which may potentially limit the therapeutic effects of repeated cisplatin treatment. Furthermore we show that BPV-1 increases p53 expression in sarcoid cell lines and p53 expression can be either nuclear or cytoplasmic. The mechanism and clinical significance of increase/abnormal p53 expression remains to be established

This study aims to (1) know the fishing gear that has the highest level of environmental friendliness (2) aspects of the code of conduct for responsible fisheries CCRF is often violated and (3) determine the level of concern for fishermen to use fish-friendly tool arrests lingkungannelaya Banda Aceh. The study was conducted in March through May 2014 in Fishing Port Beach (PPP) Lampulo and Fish Landing Places (TPI) Alue Naga. Descriptive method with the number of samples used in this study divided 175 people fishing the Purse Seine fishing, Tramell Net, and Gill Net Fishermen. Collecting data using a questionnaire and analysed using descriptive analysis of the results of the research described in graphic form, frequency and percentage (persen). The results of the study (1) a means of catching the highest level of environmental friendliness is a gill net (2) Aspects of CCRF most often violated by fishermen is the aspect of fishing gear selectivity and fishing aspects of the Act are protected and (3) the highest awareness level of fishing gears environmentally friendly fishing is done by using the capture tool Gill Net

    : To improve the professionalism of teachers, implementation of teaching supervision by the principal is indispensable as an indicator of the success of learning implementation in school and teachers\u27 tasks. A principal absolutely must have a competence as a supervisor because through supervision activities problems faced by teachers in the implementation of learning and development of professionalism can be identified, so that a solution can be found through routine coaching by the principal. The purpose of this study was to determine the teaching supervision program in an effort to improve the performance and professionalism of teachers at SMAN 1 Peukan Bada Senior High School in Aceh Besar Regency. This study used a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were: observation, interview and documentation study. The subjects of the study were principal and teachers of SMAN 1 Peukan Bada. The results of the study showed that: (1) The principal has the ability as a supervisor in the implementation of teacher professional development program in SMAN 1 Peukan Bada, (2) The principal used individual supervision technique as the strategy to improve the professionalism of teachers through classroom visit activity, classroom observation, peer supervision, informal supervision and group technique, (3) The supervision carried by the principal provided a positive impact in improving the professionalism of teachers, with the growing understanding of the teachers on how to become good educators, (4) The obstacle in the implementation of program supervision was the limited time, resulting in uneven supervision activities for any teacher, so that the efforts to improve teachers\u27 competence was not optimal

    Pengembangan Modul Pembelajaran Simulasi Virtual Phet pada Materi Listrik Dinamis

    This research is aims to generate a learning module using virtual PhET simulationson the material of dynamic electric to be valid and proper for students to use as a self-learning materials. This research type using Research and Development (R&D) method with a model of the development are Four-D Model. The module was developed through four phases accordingto the development model being used, such as Define, Design, Develop and Dessiminates phase. The research data was obtained from the results of validation by three experts as validators. Instrument validation using content validity to assessment module by Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP) which consists of four feasibility aspects's modules with 56 indicators assessment module. Validation was done through two phaseswhich is validation in first phase and validation in second phase. The results of the validation first phase, modules got an average value of 3.54 so the quality ofmodules at the validation phase one was “Good”. The results of the validation second phase obtained an average value of 4.01 so that the quality of modules at the validation second phase was“Good”. Feasibility of contents's module obtained an average value of 3.8in the category “Good”, the feasibility of presentation's module obtained an average value of 3.9 tocategory“Good”, feasibility of language's modules obtained an average value of 3.9 to“Good”categoriy and feasibility of graphical's modules scored an average of 4.01 in the “Good” category. Based on the results of feasibility aspect's module, the module has fulfilled the criteria of Self Instructional, Self Contained, Stand Alone, Adaptive and User Friendly. Based on the results of the validation, it can be concluded that learning module using virtual PhET simulations on the material dynamic electricwas valid and proper to use as a self-learning materials for students

    Hubungan Panjang Berat dan Faktor Kondisi Ikan Betutu (Oxyeleotris Marmorata) di Sungai Ulim Kabupaten Pidie Jaya, Provinsi Aceh, Indonesia

    The objective of the present study was to evaluate the length weight relationship of the marble goby (Oxyeleotris marmorata) in Ulim River, Pidie Jaya District, Aceh Province, Indonesia. The sampling was conducted at three sampling locations during February to May 2016. The Linear Allometric Model (LAM) and Relative weight condition factors were performed in this study. The study b value ranged between 2.70 to 2.74 indicate a negative allometric growth pattern. The relative weight condition factor was tended to 100. It means that the Ulim Rivers is still in good condition.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan panjang berat dan factor kondisi ikan betutu (Oxyeleotris marmorata) di Sungai Ulim Kabupaten Pidie Jaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey eksploratif pada tiga lokasi sampling selama Februari 2016 sampai Mei 2016 sebanyak 12 kali sampling. Model yang digunakan adalah Linear Allometric dan Faktor kondisi berat relative. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata nilai b berkisar 2,70 sampai 2.74 memunjukkan pola pertumbuhan allometric negative dan factor kondisi berat relatif mendekai 100, bermakna kondisi perairan masih dalam kondisi yang seimbang

    Warpage Optimisation on the Moulded Part with Conformal Cooling Channels using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and Glowworm Swarm Optimisation (GSO)

    Today, there are many of optimisation method have been explored by previous researchers to find the appropriate processing parameters setting for the injection moulding process. From the previous researches, it has been proven that the optimisation work improved the quality of the moulded part. However, the application of optimisation work in conformal cooling channels still lacks. Therefore, in this study, the application of optimisation work to improve warpage of front panel housing with conformal cooling channels moulds have been explored. By choosing cooling time, coolant temperature, packing pressure and melt temperature as the variable parameters, design of experiment (DOE) has been defined by using the rotatable central composite design (CCD) approach. Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was performed to determine the mathematical model. The mathematical model then will be used in Glowworm Swarm Optimisation (GSO) method in order to obtain the optimal processing parameters setting which will optimise the warpage condition. Based on the results, cooling time is the most significant factor contributes to the warpage condition and warpage have optimised by 38.7% after optimisation using the proposed approach. This finding shows that the application of conformal cooling channels with optimisation work will produce better quality of the moulded part

    Proses produksi SKT (Sigaret Kretek Tangan) dikerjakan menggunakan skill tenaga kerja wanita. SKT juga harus dapat bersaing dengan rokok berfilter atau SKM (Sigaret Kretek Mesin), dimana kualitas dari rokok lebih terkontrol. Usaha untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut yaitu melalui tahapan peningkatan kualitas dengan pendekatan six sigma dengan mengetahaui terlebih dahulu kemampuan proses berdasarkan produk cacat yang ada. Menganalisis penyebab kecacatan menggunakan Seven Tools serta meningkatkan kualitas rokok dengan mendesain ulang alat bantu proses produksi. Setelah dilakukan pengolahan data didapatkan nilai DPMO dari masing-masing CTQ yaitu, Berat Rokok Per 50 Batang 24166,67; Kotor Dibagian Ekor 4092,26; Diameter Ekor Tidak Sesuai 10044,64; Keras Sampai Sulit Dihisap 2728,17; Gembos 2480,16; Cowong Ekor 2108,13. Dari 6 CTQ yang ada level sigma terendah pada cacat Diameter Ekor Rokok Tidak Sesuai.Dari hasil analisis maka dapat disipulakn bahwa akar permasalahan penyebab kecacatan adalah belum adanya alat bantu baku yang memudahkan mengatur tembakau pada alat giling. Sehinggan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan desain ulang dan pembuatan alat bantu baru untuk peningkatan kualitas SKT-BL53
