Kyoto Protocol and Geenhouse Gas Emission Trading at Global and Regional Levels

Diploma thesis "Kyoto Protocol and Greenhouse Gas Emission Trading on Global and Regional Levels" deals with main intellectual currents and initiatives, both economic and political, contributing to negotiations on climate change mitigation and international emissions trading. Subsequently, the thesis analyses them from the point of view of international relations theory and regime theory in particular. A case study focuses on issues related to negotiations and decision-making in the field of climate change in the EU and the European emission trading system. The chapter focusing on applying the externality theory on environmental issues leads the author to the conclusion that despite the fact that both tools setting price and volume can in economic theory, if set on an optimal level, internalize negative externality in an efficient way, in case of greenhouse gas emissions where a risk of sudden deterioration exists, setting an emission system, as a main instrument to mitigate climate change, together with additions measures, is beneficial. Analysis of international climate change negotiations and relevant documents from the point of view of international relations theory and regime theory in particular shows that institutionalization of cooperation in the field of climate change facilitates compromise...Diplomová práce "Kjótský protokol a obchodování s emisemi skleníkových plynů na globální a regionální úrovni" se zabývá hlavními myšlenkovými proudy a iniciativami, ekonomickými i politickými, vedoucími k vyjednávání o omezení klimatických změn a obchodování s emisemi na mezinárodní úrovni. Následně je práce analyzuje z pohledu teorie mezinárodních vztahů, konkrétně pak teorie režimů. Případová studie se zaměřuje na problematiku vyjednávání a rozhodování v oblasti klimatických změn v EU a evropský systém pro obchodování s emisemi. V části věnované aplikaci teorie externalit na environmentální problematiku autor dochází k závěru, že i když z pohledu ekonomické teorie nástroje založené na určení ceny i množství externality mohou vést k účinné internalizaci externality, v případě emisí skleníkových plynů, kdy existuje riziko prahového efektu, je vhodnější vytvořit systém pro obchodování s emisemi jako stěžejní nástroj k omezení klimatických změn doplněný dalšími opatřeními. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá zlepšením ekonomické výkonnosti daného podniku v určitém časovém intervalu. Práci lze rozdělit na dvě části, teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část obsahuje teoretické poznatky z oblasti finanční, obchodní, technologické a personální, dále pak základní potřebné pojmy. Tyto údaje jsou podkladem pro vypracování praktické části. V praktické části je zanalyzován současný stav podniku pomocí vybraných ukazatelů. Na základě informací z praktické části je zhodnocena celková situace podniku a jsou navržena doporučení ke zlepšení výkonnosti podniku.This bachelor thesis deals with the improving of economic performance of selected business organization in a certain time interval. The thesis can be divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains the theoretical knowledge from the section of financial, commercial, technological and personnel section, as well as basic necessary terms. These data are the basis for the elaboration of the practical part. In the practical part, the current state of the company is analyzed using selected ratios. Based on the information from the practical part, the overall situation of the organization is evaluated and suggestions for improving the organization performance are proposed.

The proximate mechanisms underlying this adaptive manipulation remain largely unclear, though a growing body of evidence suggests that the parasite-entrained dysregulation of dopamine metabolism plays a central role. Paradoxically, the distribution of the parasite in the brain has received only scant attention. at six months of age and examined 18 weeks later. The cysts were distributed throughout the brain and selective tropism of the parasite toward a particular functional system was not observed. Importantly, the cysts were not preferentially associated with the dopaminergic system and absent from the hypothalamic defensive system. The striking interindividual differences in the total parasite load and cyst distribution indicate a probabilistic nature of brain infestation. Still, some brain regions were consistently more infected than others. These included the olfactory bulb, the entorhinal, somatosensory, motor and orbital, frontal association and visual cortices, and, importantly, the hippocampus and the amygdala. By contrast, a consistently low incidence of tissue cysts was recorded in the cerebellum, the pontine nuclei, the caudate putamen and virtually all compact masses of myelinated axons. Numerous perivascular and leptomeningeal infiltrations of inflammatory cells were observed, but they were not associated with intracellular cysts. distribution stems from uneven brain colonization during acute infection and explains numerous behavioral abnormalities observed in the chronically infected rodents. The position of the Supreme Court in the American political system and the significance of its decision-making for the political procedure in the USA.

The thesis "Role of the U.S. Supreme Court in American system of government and the importance of Court's decisions for the political process in the United States of America" deals with the institutional role U.S. Supreme Court has in American system of government and puts emphasis on Court's decisions and their practical consequences on the politics in the United States. In history of the country the Court was an influential decision-making body on many occasions. Although shortly after the federation was established many intended to put the Court in position where weak powers given to it would not enable the institution to fully play its role of the guardian that keeps an eye on the constitutionality of adopted laws, at the beginning of the 19th century the Court found its place and became exactly what it was originally intended to be. Decision in Marbury v. Madison gained the Court the crucial power of judicial review. The power of judicial review completely changed the role of the institution that finally became the guardian of the Constitution.
