PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN PEMAKAI TERHADAP PEMANFAATAN JURNAL ELEKTRONIK OLEH MAHASISWA S1 ANGKATAN 2016 DI PERPUSTAKAAN UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA
The objectives of this research are: (1) to find out the perceptions of the
undergraduate students in the year of 2016 toward the user education activity in
UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta’s library; (2) to find out the utilizations of the
electronic journal by the undergraduate students in the year of 2016 in UIN Sunan
Kalijaga Yogyakarta’s library; (3) to find out the influence of user education
towards the utilization of the electronic journal in UIN Sunan Kalijaga
Yogyakarta’s library. This research was a descriptive qualitative research. The
population of this research was the student of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta in
the year of 2016 with taking 98 students from total 3201 students as the sample.
Sample-taking technique used in this research was accidental sampling. Data
collecting technique used was questioner using likert scale with 4 answer
alternatives. Supporting data collecting technique used interview, documentation,
and observation. Whereas, the validity test and realibility used the corellation of
Product Moment and Alpha Cronbach. The analysis of data used Product Moment
and Simple Linier Regression. This research had three conclusions: (1) the
perceptions of the undergraduate student in the year of 2016 toward user
education activity UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta was in fair number that was
about 3,15 with the correlation interval 2,15 X 3,25; (2) the utilization of the
electronic journal by the undergraduate students in the year of 2016 in UIN Sunan
Kalijaga Yogyakarta’s library was marked by the result of product moment about
0,602 with strong influence. Whereas, the value of r-count (0,602) r-table
(0,361) and the number of the influences of used education toward the utilization
of the electronic journal by the 2016 academic year students in UIN Sunan
Kalijaga Yogyakarta’s library was about 36,2% which was marked by the
determination coefficient in about 0,362. The researcher suggest that the librarian
improve mentoring and guidace to students while the user education activity on
and improve the techniques that used in explaining the untilization methods of
electronic journal. Beside that, the lecture method in user education activity is
made as effective as possible so it can be maximize the students comprehension
