Trading Strategies: Earning More in Investment

Gold and bitcoin are not new to us, but with limited cash and time, given only the past stream of the daily price of gold and bitcoin, it is a kind of new problem for us to develop a certain model and determine the best strategy to get the most return. Here, our team members analyzed the data provided and finally made a unified system of models to predict the price and evaluate the risk and return in our act of investment, and we name this series of models and measurements as CTP Model. This is a model which can determine and describe what transaction should the trader make each day and what is the certain maximum return he will get under different risk levels

Is there life? Is there spirit? Debating belief and being a good Christian in Watchman Nee’s ‘Little Flock’ : Religions

Funding: This research was funded by the Shanghai Social Science Innovation Research Base, for ‘Research on Transitional Sociology with Chinese Characteristics’.Christian, especially Protestant, identity is often framed through the lens of belief, particularly belief understood as an interior orientation. Through an examination of the non-denominational Protestant group, the ‘Little Flock’, founded by Watchman Nee in the early 20th century, we trace enduring aspects of Little Flock theology in contemporary Chinese Protestant practice. In particular, we attend to conceptions of and debates surrounding belief and how to determine the quality of one’s faith—whether or not one might be considered not just a Christian, but a ‘good’ one.Publisher PDFPeer reviewe

The presence of signs written in different languages forms an essential part of our daily life. From the commercial signs to the advertising posters that are found in public spaces, all this has become a special landscape of the cities. The concept “Linguistic Landscape” was proposed by Landry and Bourhis in 1997, and has been translated into Spanish as Paisaje lingüístico. According to the two researchers, the signs in the area of the linguistic landscape have two main functions, the informative function and the symbolic function. Due to these functions, not only the linguistic contents but also the other elements are usually considered in the studies of linguistic landscape. As a new orientation within the sociolinguistic field, this phenomenon has attracted the attention of researchers from all over the world. They have analyzed and applied it both to the linguistic field and to the social, economic, political field, etc. Among all the applications of the linguistic landscape, it is necessary to point out its use in the pedagogical and didactic field, in which the signs of the linguistic landscape can be a new dynamic to improve the teaching of languages. Taking into account the various studies about the linguistic landscape which focused on a variety of languages appeared in the signs, and also the unexplored aspects of the current researches, this thesis has focused on achieving two objectives through the analysis of the linguistic landscape. First of all, it presents the Chinese-Spanish linguistic landscape in Valencia of Spain by investigating the Chinese monolingual signs, Chinese-Spanish bilingual signs and Spanish monolingual signs created by Chinese immigrants that resided in Valencia, in order to reveal the linguistic situation of this minority group. Secondly, signs of the linguistic landscape are used as relevant resources and materials for the teaching of Spanish to the Chinese learners by taking advantage of the discoveries about the linguistic difficulties that have the Chinese group when they learn Spanish. With the fulfillment of the two main objectives, this thesis reach the conclusion that the Chinese immigrants in Valencia are well integrated into the Spanish society, and through the signs created by this group it can be seen that the Chinese learners face a series of linguistic difficulties of Spanish both in the orthographic and phonetic-phonological field, as in the morphologic-syntactic and semantic field. In addition, this thesis has also proved that it is realizable and meaningful to use the signs of the linguistic landscape in the classroom of Spanish through the contribution of various proposals specifically designed for the Chinese learners with different levels of Spanish

    Get PDF

Cytosine Modifications and Distinct Functions of TET1 on Tumorigenesis

Vast emerging evidences are linking the base modifications and gene expression involved in essential metabolic pathways. Among the base modification markers extensively studied, 5-methylcytosine (5mC) and its oxidative derivatives (5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5-hmC), 5-formylcytosine (5-fC), and 5-carboxylcytosine (5-caC)) dynamically occur in DNA and RNA and have been acknowledged as the important epigenetic markers involved in regulation of cellular biological processes. The modification of C has been characterized biochemically, molecularly, and phenotypically, including elucidation of its methyltransferase complexes (writer), demethylases (eraser), 10-11 translocation proteins (TETs), and direct interaction proteins (readers). The levels and the landscapes of these epigenetic markers in the epitranscriptomes and epigenomes are precisely and dynamically regulated by the fine-tuned coordination of the writers and erasers in accordance with stages of the growth, development, and reproduction as naturally programmed during the life span. In mammalian genome, the TET family is consisted of three members, including TET1, TET2, and TET3. The link between aberrant modifications and diseases, such as cancers, neurodegenerative disorders, and heart diseases, has been appreciated. This review article will highlight the research advances in the writers and erasers for the modifications of cytosine in genome, as well as the dual function of TET1 in tumorigenesis as a tumor suppressor and a promoter. Additionally, the future research directions are addressed
