LONGITUDINAL DISTRIBUTION OF pi+-, K+-, PROTONS AND ANTI-PROTONS PRODUCED IN 360-GeV/c pi- p INTERACTIONS
Results on the longitudinal-momentum distributions of Ï±, K±, protons and antiprotons produced in 360 GeV/c p- interactions are presented. They are compared with other available data and discussed in terms of Ï-fragmentation
NEUTRAL D MESON PROPERTIES IN 360-GeV/c pi- p INTERACTIONS
Based on a sample of 22 four-prong D0/D-0/ decays produced in hydrogen by 360 GeV/cÏâ, we present the following new results: mean lifetime Ï = (3.5+1.4-0.9x 10-13s; production cross section for xF> 0.0, Ï = (10.3 ± 3.5) Ïb; the D â K± Ï± Ï-Ï-branching ratio = (7.1 ± 2.5)%
INCLUSIVE PROPERTIES OF D MESONS PRODUCED IN 360-GeV pi- p INTERACTIONS
The inclusive cross sections for forward D meson production at âs = 26 Gev in Ï-p interactions have been measured to be: Ï(ÏÌ
pâD0/Dâ0)XF>0 = (10.1±2.2) ÎŒb, Ï(ÏÌ
pâD± + X)XF>0 = (5.7±1.6) ÎŒb . The distribution in XFfor all D and for XF > 0 has the form dÏ/dXF = 107+39-37(1-XF)7.5+2.5-1.7 + 5.4+6.0-3.8(1-XF)0.71.0-0.7ÎŒb, with evidence for leading D production. The P2T distribution is exponential with slope parameter [â1.18+0.18â0.16](GeV/c)â2. The data are compared with predictions from first-order quark/gluon fusion calculations
