    The most promising region of glass compositions for obtaining hollow glass microspheres was determined using literature analysis. The main physical and technical characteristics of glasses have been studied and the dependence of the glasses properties on composition has been established. The influence of rheological properties of glasses near liquidus temperature on the processes of separation of gases previously dissolved in glass was established. It was shown that the loss of the glass mass upon reheating is much higher than the amount of sodium sulfate dissolved in the melt and may be due to incomplete decomposition during melting of carbonates (in particular, sodium carbonate) included in the charge composition, as well as volatilization of B2O3.На основе анализа литературы определена наиболее перспективная область составов стекол для получения полых стеклянных микросфер. Изучены основные физико-технические характеристики стекол и установлены зависимости свойств стекол от состава. Установлено влияние реологических свойств стекол вблизи тем- ператур ликвидуса на процессы выделения ранее растворенных в стекле газов. Показано, что потери массы стекол при повторном нагреве существенно превышают количество растворенного в расплаве сульфата натрия и могут быть обу- словлены неполным разложением при варке карбонатов (в частности, карбоната натрия), а также улетучиванием В2О3

    A Case of Medullary Carcinoma of the Jejunum Combined with the Intestinal Lymphangiectasia Accompanied by the Malabsorption Syndrome

    Aim: to present a clinical and morphological observation of an extremely rare combination of medullary carcinoma of the jejunum and intestinal lymphangiectasia in a 33-year-old patient with clinical features of malabsorption syndrome over the 10 years.Key points. An autopsy revealed a tumor formation spreading from the wall of the jejunum to the mesentery, with metastases to the mesenteric lymph nodes. The medullary carcinoma with positive expression of СD117, DOG1, EMA, PanCK, PDL-1, vimentin, mosaic non-intense expression of CA19-9, calretinin, CD10, CDX2, CEA, MUC-5AC, SATB2, and negative reaction to ALK, CD3, CD8, CD20, CD30, CD31, CD34, CD45, CD56, chromogranin, CK7, CK20, desmin. The proliferative index was high: Ki-67 > 80 %. Moreover, during the histological examination of the intestinal wall, intestinal lymphangiectasia complicated by the malabsorption syndrome was revealed.Conclusion. The uniqueness of this clinical and morphological case is in the combination of medullary carcinoma of the jejunum metastasized to the mesenteric lymph nodes with the underlying intestinal lymphangiectasia accompanied by the development of malabsorption syndrome

    Efficacy of topical agents in the background therapy of atopic dermatitis in children

    Atopic dermatitis (AtD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with complex etiopathogenesis, which begins in childhood. Purpose of the study: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Skin-cap cream as a topical background therapy in children with diabetes. Materials and methods: The study included 77 children aged 1 to 11 years with moderately severe AtD with a widespread lesion of the skin (33,5%), skin itching, inflammatory skin reaction and exacerbations occurring 3 to 4 times a year. During the study, two arms of children were formed: the treatment arm - 39 children with an average course of the disease (SCORAD index = 33,9 ± 2,2 points), who received the background therapy with the prescription of Skin-cap cream. Comparison arm: 38 children (SCORAD index = 34,2 ± 2,1 points), who received Afloderm cream as a background therapy. Results: Patients of the treatment arm showed a significant dynamics of relief of AtD symptoms as compared with the comparison arm. the differences in the duration of dermal manifestations were as follows: in the treatment arm, the time of reducing hyperaemia was 4,4 ± 1,2 days, in the comparison arm, hyperaemia was reduced at 5,7 ± 1,5 days (p< 0.05), the mean duration of alleviation of the skin itching was 3,0 ± 0,9 days and 5,8 ± 1,4 days (p< 0,05) at 6,8 and 7,3 days in the treatment arm and the comparison arm, respectively. Conclusions: The conducted study confirmed the high efficacy of the use of Skin-cap cream as a topical agent for background therapy of AtD, as compared to topical glucocorticosteroids

    A scheme is proposed to develop image processing and analysis software based on the generation of thesaurus tables in the interpreter's kernel. The scheme is based on the combined features of dynamic libraries and an interpreter with a set of functions for image processing. As a result, the program can be divided into two parts: the first is aimed at professional software developers, and the second at users. The interpreter is able to use extra functions of dynamic libraries. It makes it possible to change the properties of the software without compilation. On the other hand, users can change the graphical interface to improve the convenience of the workplace

    Efficacy of combined treatment of acute rhinosinusitis in children

    The article presents the results of the study of clinical efficacy of treatment of acute rhinosinusitis in 80 children aged 3–15 years using Sialor® as an adjunct to comprehensive treatment. The children of group 1 (active treatment group) received Sialor® in addition to the standard treatment without use of decongestants. group 2 (comparison group) received decongestants in addition to the standard treatment without use of Sialor®. The efficacy of treatment was assessed according to clinical examination findings. The study showed that the inclusion of Sialor® (silver proteinate) in the combined treatment improves the clinical efficacy of treatment of acute rhinosinusitis. On Day 4 after the first examination, group I showed a decrease in nasal congestion that was evaluated using Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) by more than 4 points as compared with group 2. On Day 4 of treatment, presentations of rhinorrhea in the active treatment group of children decreased by more than 2 points on VAS scale compared with the control group. The children who received Sialor also demonstrated an improvement in the quality of sleep. The results showed that the inclusion of Sialor (silver proteinate) in the treatment regimen of ARS allows to achieve a more rapid relief of symptoms of intoxication, nasal congestion, rhinorrhea, restoration of smell, improvement in the quality of sleep of patients by Day 4 from the start of treatment

    Clinical efficiency of treatment of cough in pediatric practice

    Cough is one of the most common reasons why parents bring their children to the pediatrician. The article presents the results of a study of the clinical efficacy of treatment of dry cough using Sinecod syrup. A total of 60 children aged 3–15 years with the upper respiratory tract infections and complaints of dry (non-productive) cough were enrolled in the study. In Group 1 (the main group), the children received Sinecod syrup in addition to the standard therapy, in Group 2 (the comparison group) children received Stoptussin-Phyto syrup. The effectiveness of treatment was evaluated based on the clinical examination findings. On Day 8–11 after the first examination, Group 2 showed a decrease in the severity of day and night cough according to VAS by more than 4 points compared with Group 2. Significant regression of the severity of day and night cough in the studied groups was only observed in patients from Group 1. Sleep disorders of the patients normalized
