    Post-Adoption Behaviors of E-Bookstore Customers

Although trade costs for both sellers and buyers can be reduced through the usage of e-commerce, however low transfer costs and global competition cause that the e-bookstores to have to maintain their customer loyalty is more difficult than traditional shopping stores. The formations of the customer loyalty of e-bookstores have been explored by many researchers from different points of view, such as service quality, satisfaction and trust. Nevertheless, the current bottleneck of e-commerce operation is that consumers are no longer continuing using e-bookstores. Based on the theory of Post-Acceptance Model, this study empirically tested using a field survey of e-bookstore customers. According to the deconstruction of online store environment, the factors of expectation-confirmation contain the confirmation of information contents, the confirmation of system platform and confirmation of web services quality. The results showed that satisfaction and perceived usefulness are significant predictors of continuance intention. The expectation-confirmation factors except the confirmation of system platform are significant predictor of satisfaction and perceived usefulness. The implications of these findings for e-bookstore continuance theory and practice are proposed in the final section

Robust Guidance Algorithm against Hypersonic Targets

This chapter presents a robust guidance algorithm for intercepting hypersonic targets. Since the differential of the line-of-sight rate is more sensitive to the target maneuver, a nonlinear proportional and differential guidance law (NPDG) is given by employing the differential of the line-of-sight rate produced by a nonlinear tracking differentiator. Based on the NPDG, a fractional calculus guidance law (FCG) is presented by utilizing the differential definition of fractional order. On the basis of interceptor-target relative motions, the stability criteria of the guidance system of the FCG are deduced. In different target maneuver and noisy cases, simulation results verify that the proposed guidance laws have small miss distances and the FCG has a stronger robustness

Why The Housing Sector Leads The Whole Economy: the Importance of Collateral Constraints and News Shocks

This paper establishes a dynamic stochastic partial equilibrium model for explaining residential investment dynamics in the United States, focusing on the distinctive cyclical features of residential investment in that it leads the whole economy. This paper is different from the existing literature by adding three new features to the model: news shocks, collateral constraints and agent heterogeneity. The partial equilibrium analysis where interest rates are exogenously fixed shows that these assumptions are essential to generating the dynamic pattern in which residential investment leads consumption and GDP.This paper has been accepted by Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics

This paper is in submission. This paper establishes a dynamic stochastic partial equilibrium model for explaining residential investment dynamics in the United States, focusing on the distinctive cyclical features of residential investment in that it leads the whole economy. This paper is different from the existing literature in that it adds three new features to the model: news shocks, collateral constraints and agent heterogeneity. The partial equilibrium analysis where interest rates are exogenously fixed shows that these assumptions are essential to generating the dynamic pattern in which residential investment leads consumption and the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).   JEL classification: E25, E21, E32

Adaptive Robust Guidance Scheme Based on the Sliding Mode Control in an Aircraft Pursuit-Evasion Problem

In this chapter, a robust guidance scheme utilizing a line-of-sight (LOS) observation is presented. Initial relative speed and distance, and error boundaries of them are estimated in accordance with the interceptor-target relative motion kinematics. A robust guidance scheme based on the sliding mode control (SMC) is developed, which requires the boundaries of the target maneuver, and inevitably has jitter phenomenon. For solving above-mentioned problems, an estimation to the target acceleration’s boundary is developed for enhancing robustness of the guidance scheme and the Lyapunov stabilization is analyzed. The proposed robust guidance scheme’s brief characteristic is to reduce the effect of relative speed and distance, to reduce the effect of target maneuverability on the guidance precision, and to strengthen the influence of line-of-sight angular velocity. The proposed scheme’s performances are validated by the simulations of different target maneuvers under two worst-case conditions
