Splitting a coordination with with
By investigating data on Japanese particle to ‘with/and’, this paper provides a unified analysis of three types of construction containing the particle to. We argue that a single to particle coordinating two elements is a conjunction particle (single to construction), while to selecting the coordination phrase (multiple to construction) and to adjoined to a single element (split to construction) are comitative postpositions. Under the proposal, the split to construction and the multiple to construction share the same underlying structure containing the single to construction. We also show that Russian coordinative and discontinuous comitatives are derived in a similar way to Japanese, following Ionin and Matushansky (2003). Our proposal suggests that a discontinuous comitative phrase and its associate universally form a constituent in a base structure
Clinical features and outcomes of in-hospital cardiac arrest in code blue events: a retrospective observational study
BackgroundIn-hospital cardiac arrest (IHCA) is a critical medical event with outcomes less researched compared to out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. This retrospective observational study aimed to investigate key aspects of IHCA epidemiology and prognosis in patients with Code Blue activation.MethodsThis retrospective observational study enrolled patients with Code Blue events in our hospital between January 2010 and October 2019. Participant characteristics, including age and sex, and IHCA characteristics, including the time of cardiac arrest, witnessed event, bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), initial shockable rhythm, vital signs at 1 and 6 h before IHCA, survival to hospital discharge (SHD), and the cardiac arrest survival postresuscitation in-hospital (CASPRI) score were included in univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses with SHD as the primary endpoint.ResultsFrom the 293 Code Blue events that were activated during the study period, 81 participants were enrolled. Overall, the SHD rate was 28.4%, the median CPR duration was 14 (interquartile range, 6–28) min, and the rate of initial shockable rhythm was 19.8%. There were significant intergroup differences between the SHD and non-SHD groups in the CPR duration, shockable rhythm, and CASPRI score on univariate logistic regression analysis. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the CASPRI score was the most accurate predictive factor for SHD (OR = 0.98, p = 0.006).ConclusionsThe CASPRI score is associated with SHD in patients with IHCA during Code Blue events. Therefore, the CASPRI score of IHCA patients potentially constitutes a simple, useful adjunctive tool for the management of post-cardiac arrest syndrome

感染症によって重篤な臓器障害が引き起こされて敗血症に至る過程でDAMPs(damage - associated molecular patterns)の関与が注目されている.今回,ヒストンH3に着目し,ラット腹膜炎敗血症モデルを用いてリコンビナントトロンボモジュリン(rhTM)とその抗炎症作用をもつD1がヒストンH3濃度と腎障害に与える影響を検討した.rhTMとD1の投与は,ヒストンH3濃度上昇と血清クレアチニン値上昇を抑制し腎の組織障害が軽減し,生存率改善との関連が示唆された.これらの結果は臨床応用を見据えた場合,rhTMのD1領域が細胞外ヒストンH3蛋白を制御し,敗血症での治療戦略の一つとなる可能性が示唆された
On Detection of Black Hole Quasi-Normal Ringdowns: Detection Efficiency and Waveform Parameter Determination in Matched Filtering
Gravitational radiation from a slightly distorted black hole with ringdown
waveform is well understood in general relativity. It provides a probe for
direct observation of black holes and determination of their physical
parameters, masses and angular momenta (Kerr parameters). For ringdown searches
using data of gravitational wave detectors, matched filtering technique is
useful. In this paper, we describe studies on problems in matched filtering
analysis in realistic gravitational wave searches using observational data.
Above all, we focus on template constructions, matches or signal-to-noise
ratios (SNRs), detection probabilities for Galactic events, and accuracies in
evaluation of waveform parameters or black hole hairs. We have performed
matched filtering analysis for artificial ringdown signals which are generated
with Monte-Carlo technique and injected into the TAMA300 observational data. It
is shown that with TAMA300 sensitivity, the detection probability for Galactic
ringdown events is about 50% for black holes of masses greater than with SNR . The accuracies in waveform parameter estimations
are found to be consistent with the template spacings, and resolutions for
black hole masses and the Kerr parameters are evaluated as a few % and , respectively. They can be improved up to and for events
of by using fine-meshed template bank in the hierarchical

Simplified Dynamic Phantom for Pediatric Renography: A Description of Instrument and Its Performance
Objective(s): Renography is used for the diagnostic evaluation of pediatric patients with a suspected obstruction of urinary tract or impaired renal function. The recommended dose for children have been released by the European Association of Nuclear Medicine, Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, and Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine. Since acquisition counts in dynamic scintigraphy are affected by the administered doses and sensitivity of the scintillation camera, the scan procedure should be determined independently. In this study, we constructed simplified dynamic phantom imitating pediatric renography and tested its performance.Methods: Simplified dynamic phantom consisted of three components (i.e.,infusion, imitated kidney, and drainage sections). The infusion rates (mL/min) were determined by comparing the time activity curves obtained from patientswith normal renal function. The time-points of the maximum counts (Tmax), as well as the two-thirds and one-half of the maximum counts (T2/3 and T1/2) were measured in different doses using the phantom with the best-match infusion rateand duration, and low-energy general-purpose (LEGP) or low-energy highresolution (LEHR) collimators and applying different attenuations.Results: The best-match infusion rates of the phantom to imitate the time activity curve of the normal renal function were 42.0, 1.0, 0.6, and 0.3 mL/min in the arterial, secretory, early-excretory, and late-excretory phases, respectively. When 30 MBq, LEHR collimator and non-water-equivalent phantom were applied, Tmax, T2/3, and T1/2 were 242±15.3, 220±10.0 and 317±25.2 seconds, respectively. Using LEGP collimator and (3 MBq of activity) 5-cm water-equivalent phantom, Tmax, T2/3, and T1/2 values were estimated as 242±5.8, 213±11.5, and 310±17.3 sec, respectively.Conclusion: Our simplified dynamic phantom for pediatric renography could imitate the time activity curves obtained from patients with normal renal function. Tmax, T2/3, and T1/2 could be measured under various settings of dose,collimator, and tissue attenuation
Plans for the LIGO-TAMA Joint Search for Gravitational Wave Bursts
We describe the plans for a joint search for unmodelled gravitational wave
bursts being carried out by the LIGO and TAMA collaborations using data
collected during February-April 2003. We take a conservative approach to
detection, requiring candidate gravitational wave bursts to be seen in
coincidence by all four interferometers. We focus on some of the complications
of performing this coincidence analysis, in particular the effects of the

Coincidence analysis to search for inspiraling compact binaries using TAMA300 and LISM data
Japanese laser interferometric gravitational wave detectors, TAMA300 and
LISM, performed a coincident observation during 2001. We perform a coincidence
analysis to search for inspiraling compact binaries. The length of data used
for the coincidence analysis is 275 hours when both TAMA300 and LISM detectors
are operated simultaneously. TAMA300 and LISM data are analyzed by matched
filtering, and candidates for gravitational wave events are obtained. If there
is a true gravitational wave signal, it should appear in both data of detectors
with consistent waveforms characterized by masses of stars, amplitude of the
signal, the coalescence time and so on. We introduce a set of coincidence
conditions of the parameters, and search for coincident events. This procedure
reduces the number of fake events considerably, by a factor
compared with the number of fake events in single detector analysis. We find
that the number of events after imposing the coincidence conditions is
consistent with the number of accidental coincidences produced purely by noise.
We thus find no evidence of gravitational wave signals. We obtain an upper
limit of 0.046 /hours (CL ) to the Galactic event rate within 1kpc from
the Earth. The method used in this paper can be applied straightforwardly to
the case of coincidence observations with more than two detectors with

Results of the search for inspiraling compact star binaries from TAMA300's observation in 2000-2004
We analyze the data of TAMA300 detector to search for gravitational waves
from inspiraling compact star binaries with masses of the component stars in
the range 1-3Msolar. In this analysis, 2705 hours of data, taken during the
years 2000-2004, are used for the event search. We combine the results of
different observation runs, and obtained a single upper limit on the rate of
the coalescence of compact binaries in our Galaxy of 20 per year at a 90%
confidence level. In this upper limit, the effect of various systematic errors
such like the uncertainty of the background estimation and the calibration of
