In each area as well as agricultural areas, human endowed with broad knowledge aimed the optimal use of the land according to their kinds, the morphological and characteristics of the soils for both agricultural and non-agricultural use by the benefits of new technologies. In this thesis, the basic soil, the potential use and agricultural suitability maps of Hanbat plain which were classified according to the basis of horizon were generated according to 1/25.000 scale by the latest technology. According to agricultural suitability classification it has been identified that the 1st exclusive class of agricultural land takes 8.7 % (2494 ha) of the total agricultural land, and the 2nd class also the quite good agricultural land covers 27.1% (7779 ha) of the total agricultural land. According to the potential use the product priority in irrigated agriculture should be given as quince, pear, tomato, eggplant, spinach, barley, wheat, rye and oats and in dry farming as sainfoin and barley. In this study there was also investigated the efficacy of the NIR spectroscopy technique (Near-Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy) to analyze some soil parameters instead of using the traditional laboratory analyzes. Three different moisture conditions were taken into consideration of the soil samples. The best estimations were obtained from the soils oven dried at 65 °C. According to the results of the statistical analysis in three different humidity conditions, calcium carbonate and organic matter can be determined with high accuracy, and phosphorus could not be successfully determined in soils with high lime content

The study has been carried out in two different areas; a farmer area in Söke Plain and in experimental station of Adnan Menderes University. The aims of study, are to determine of some physical and chemical properties of the soils and to search of activity of gypsum (CaSO4) used in alkaline soils having high sodium. For this purpose, 50,100 and 150 kg/da gypsum were applied to the experimental soils besides control. These applications were made in autumn after harvest period and before the winter rains. In order to determine affects of gypsum on some physical and chemical properties of the soils such as texture, pH, soluble salt content, lime, EC, organic matter content, boron, aggregate stability, dispersion ratio, suspension and dispersion percent. Disturbed and undisturbed soil samples were taken from 0-10,10-20,20-30, 30-40, 40-60, 60-90 cm depths in May after spring rain and in September when the soils are drier. The obteined data taken from the analyses were evaluated as statistically. The results showed that gypsum doses used as amelioration material are effective to lead Na into soil solution by leaving from soil colloids. However this phenomenon was not found sufficient in the soils of sesecond experimental area. Hence gypsum doses that will be used in soils having high alkalinity should be higher and the soils should be washed with high quality water after gypsum treatment because of unsufficient rains in the area

Today, in every passing moment, a new piece of information is acquired and the accumulation of this information leads to social and technological developments. Therefore, today, individuals are expected to rapidly adjust to innovations. As such, individuals should be open to innovations and willing to adopt innovations; that is, they need to be innovative. In this regard, most of the responsibility for training innovative individuals within formal education should be assumed by classroom teachers as they are working in the first stage of compulsory education. In order to be able train innovative individuals, classroom teachers should posses the characteristics of innovativeness. Therefore, the purpose of the current study was set to be to determine the pre-service classroom teachers’ state of innovativeness and investigate it in relation to different variables. The current study was conducted on 322 pre-service classroom teachers randomly selected from among the classroom teachers attending a university in 2014-2015 academic year. In the collection of the data, “Personal Innovativeness Scale” adapted to Turkish by Kılıçer and Odabaşı (2010) was employed. In the current study, the internal consistency of the scale was found to be .74. At the end of the study, it was found that the pre-service classroom teachers’ mean personal innovativeness level is medium and the state of their innovativeness varies depending on gender in favor of the female pre-service teachers. Moreover, the male pre-service teachers were found to be more resistant to change than the female pre-service teachers. The grade level and academic achievement variables were found to be not significantly affecting the pre-service classroom teachers’ state of innovativeness. In light of these findings, it was suggested that pre-service teachers should be given adequate training during their pre-service education so that they could design activities to educate their prospective students as innovative individuals
