USING SOCIAL NETWORK ANALYSIS AS A STRATEGY FOR E-COMMERCE RECOMMENDATION

    Get PDF
Recommender agents are being widely used by E-commerce business to help customers make decisions from a large amount of choices. To improve the performance of recommendation agents, three main approaches (content-based approaches, collaborative approaches and hybrid approaches) have been proposed to address recommendation problem whose basic idea is to discover similarity of items and users and predicate users’ preference toward a set of items. This provides potential for using social network analysis to make recommendations since social network analysis can be used to investigate the relationships of customers. In this research, we illustrate the concepts of social network analysis and how it can be employed to make better recommendations in E-commerce context. Application and research opportunities are presented

The Simultaneous Interpolation of Target Radar Cross Section in Both the Spatial and Frequency Domains by Means of Legendre Wavelets Model-Based Parameter Estimation

    Get PDF
The understanding of the target radar cross section (RCS) is significant for target identification and for radar designing and optimization. In this paper, a numerical algorithm for calculating target RCS is presented which is based on Legendre wavelet model-based parameter estimation (LW-MBPE). The Padé rational function fitting model applied for MBPE in the frequency domain is enhanced to include spatial dependence on the numerator and denominator coefficients. This allows the function to interpolate target RCS in both the frequency and spatial domains simultaneously. The combination of Legendre wavelets guarantees the convergence of the algorithm. The method is convergent by increasing the sampling frequency and spatial points. Numerical results are provided to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the new technique

Under the new policy background of the 2020 Opinions on Deepening the Integration of Sports and Education and Promoting the Healthy Development of Adolescents , as the highest educational institution in China, higher education institutions should shoulder the responsibility of cultivating high-quality talents to meet social needs. As the highest-quality higher education institution in Henan Province, Zhengzhou University\u27s innovation and exploration of teaching methods and talent training models under the background of the integration of sports and education will play a leading role in the development of higher education in Henan Province. Through combing and analyzing the existing policy documents, firstly, explore the reasons, significance, and social background of the construction of the football academy; secondly, analyze the theoretical basis for the construction of the football academy in the context of relevant policies, and analyze the demand for talent training required by the policy. It was combining with the construction situation of my country’s football academy at this stage, implementing the specific requirements of the integration strategy of sports and education, establishing the guiding ideology of “diversified integration” after establishing the academy from the three levels of discipline establishment, talent training, and talent transfer. Investigate the needs of the talent market at the stage, determine the direction of talent training, and discuss how to set up specific majors for domestic enrollment after the establishment of the college. Based on this, it proposes the professional setting direction and specific curriculum arrangement and assessment methods for talent training from five aspects: education and teaching, sports competitions, sports medicine, sports media, economics, and management. Finally, it discusses the difficulties faced by students, teachers, and employment development after graduation in the process of football academy construction and how to use existing resources and related policy support to solve the difficulties. As an innovative way of running a school, the Football Academy provides new opportunities for the reform and innovation of sports talent cultivation. In the torrent of sports and education integration reform, make full use of existing resources, integrate and mobilize various high-quality resources in the region, and finally transform them into the winning resources for the new development of our school\u27s sports discipline in this innovative school-running method. After the football academy is established, it will become a link between campus football and professional football in the province, and a breeding base for national high-quality football industry talents. It will also provide a strong impetus for the development of football in my country

Bexarotene enhances heart structure and function in diabetic rats by inhibiting ventricular remodeling and cardiomyocyte apoptosis

Purpose: To investigate the influence of bexarotene (Bex) on cardiac structure and function in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetes mellitus (DM) rats, and the mechanism of action involved. Methods: Four groups of Sprague Dawley rats (n = 40) were used: normal control, DM, DM+ Bex (10 mg/kg/day), and DM+ Bex (20 mg/kg/day) (n = 10). The DM rat model was established by intraperitoneal injection of STZ. Cardiac structure and function of rats were determined and compared. Whole heart and left ventricle were weighed. The protein expressions of Bcl2 and Bax in rat myocardial tissue were determined using Western blotting. Results: Compared to control group, there was significant reduction in the levels of IVSd (inlet ventricular septal defect) and LVPWd (left ventricle posterior wall in diastole) in DM group, but significant increase in these parameters in DM +Bex (20 mg/kg/day) group, relative to DM-treated rats (p < 0.05). Moreover, there were higher expression levels of Bcl2 and Bax in DM group, when compared with normal control, but Bcl2/Bax ratio was significantly lower (p < 0.05). Furthermore, Bcl2 and Bax levels in DM + Bex (20 mg/kg/day) group were significantly lower than those in DM group, while Bcl2/Bax ratio increased significantly (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Bexarotene improves the cardiac structure of DM rats by lowering blood glucose, and by inhibiting ventricular remodeling and cardiomyocyte apoptosis. These findings may be beneficial in the development of new anti-DM drugs

UNDERSTANDING USERS’ SATISFACTION WITH SOCIAL LEARNING NETWORK

    Get PDF
The social learning network (SLN) constructed based on web 2.0 techniques demonstrates some unique characteristics comparing to traditional e-learning context based on 1.0 technique. In response to the new characteristics in SLN, we advance the theoretical understanding of user satisfaction by reconceptualising e-learning as a relational process among students. Based on that, we draw on network externalities and social capital theory to examine users’ satisfaction with social learning network. Considering that network externalities are involved in the process, we propose that two types of network externalities: direct network externality and indirect network externality moderate the relationship between social capital and user satisfaction. Theoretical, practical implications and future research are also discussed

Purpose: To isolate, purify and determine the antioxidant property of total flavonoids from the roots of Ardisia mamillata, so as to provide a  theoretical basis for development of natural antioxidants. Methods: Macroporous resin was used to optimize the isolation and  purification of total flavonoids, taking adsorption rate and resolution rate as evaluation indices. The antioxidant property of the purified total flavonoids was determined using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical 2,2-diphenyl-1-(2,4,6- trinitrophenyl)hydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity. Results: The best conditions for separation and purification of total  flavonoids from Ardisia mamillata roots were: use of ADS-7 resin, loading total flavonoid concentration of 0.8896 mg/mL, loading buffer flow rate of 1.5 mL/min, loading buffer pH of 4.48, elution ethanol concentration of 60 %, and flow rate of 2.5 mL/min. Under these conditions, the degree of purification of total flavonoids of Ardisia mamillata root was 76.43 ± 0.36 %, adsorption rate was 96.52 ± 0.19 %, while resolution rate was 99.31 ± 0.27 %. When the concentration of the purified total flavonoids was 4.0 mg/mL, its DPPH radical scavenging activity was stronger than that of the standard, butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), but lower than that of vitamin C.Conclusion: ADS-7 resin is the best macroporous resin for the purification of total flavonoids from the radix of Ardisia mamillata Hance, under the  optimized conditions. The purified total flavonoids of Ardisia mamillata root have stronger DPPH radical scavenging ability than the standard, BHT.Keywords: Szechwan raspberry root, Flavonoids, Macroporous adsorption resin, ADS-7 resin, Purification, Antioxidan
