Antiferromagnetism of ZnVO(PO and the dilution with Ti
We report static and dynamic properties of the antiferromagnetic compound
Zn(VO)(PO), and the consequences of non-magnetic Ti
doping at the V site. P nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra
and spin-lattice relaxation rate () consistently show the formation of
the long-range antiferromagnetic order below \,K. The critical
exponent estimated from the temperature dependence of the
sublattice magnetization measured by P NMR at 9.4\,MHz is consistent
with universality classes of three-dimensional spin models. The isotropic and
axial hyperfine couplings between the P nuclei and V spins are
Oe/ and Oe/, respectively. Magnetic susceptibility
data above 6.5\,K and heat capacity data above 4.5\,K are well described by
quantum Monte-Carlo simulations for the Heisenberg model on the square lattice
with \,K. This value of is consistent with the values obtained
from the NMR shift, and electron spin resonance (ESR) intensity
analysis. Doping ZnVO(PO with non-magnetic Ti leads to a
marginal increase in the value and the overall dilution of the spin
lattice. In contrast to the recent \textit{ab initio} results, we find neither
evidence for the monoclinic structural distortion nor signatures of the
magnetic one-dimensionality for doped samples with up to 15\% of Ti. The
N\'eel temperature decreases linearly with increasing the amount of
the non-magnetic dopant.Comment: 13 pages, 12 figures, 2 table
Bose-Einstein condensation of triplons in the S=1 tetramer antiferromagnet K2Ni2(MoO4)3: A compound close to quantum critical point
The structure of K2Ni2(MoO4)3 consists of S=1 tetramers formed by Ni^{2+}
ions. The magnetic susceptibility chi(T) and specific heat Cp(T) data on a
single crystal show a broad maximum due to the low-dimensionality of the system
with short-range spin correlations. A sharp peak is seen in chi(T) and Cp(T) at
about 1.13 K, well below the broad maximum. This is an indication of magnetic
long-range order i.e., the absence of spin-gap in the ground state.
Interestingly, the application of a small magnetic field (H>0.1 T) induces
magnetic behavior akin to Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC) of triplon
excitations observed in some spin-gap materials. Our results demonstrate that
the temperature-field (T-H) phase boundary follows a power-law
(T-T_{N})propotional to H^(1/alpha) with the exponent 1/alpha close to 2/3, as
predicted for BEC scenario. The observation of BEC of triplon excitations in
small H infers that K2Ni2(MoO4)3 is located in the proximity of a quantum
critical point, which separates the magnetically ordered and spin-gap regions
of the phase diagram.Comment: 5 pages, 5 figures, Accepted in Phys. Rev. B Rapid Communication
Simple Bone Cyst Management: Percutaneous Steroid Injection Versus Curettage with Hydroxiapatite
The main goals of the therapy of simple bone cyst (SBC) are to get the bone healing, prevent pathological fractures, and management of pain symptom. There are various methods of the SBC treatments, however they still remain controversial because of their healing rate and invasiveness of surgery. A total of 10 SBC patients were divided into two groups namely curretage with hydroxyapatite (HA) and decompression and percutaneous steroid injection (PSI). PSI was performed three times at intervals of each month. The mean followup of 12-26 months. Evaluation of functional outcome by Musculoskeletal Tumour Society (MSTS) score and supported with radiologically based on Chang criteria. There were 5 patients (proximal femur 2; proximal humerus 2, radius 1) performed curretage with HA therapy. Remaining 5 patients (proximal femur 3; proximal humerus 1; calcaneus 1) were performed PSI therapy. PSI group had better MSTS score, particulary at month 3 (55%) and month 6 (84%) than curettage with HA therapy (47% and 69.3%). Complete bone healing was found in both group at month 12 follow up, however solid union occurred faster in PSI group. PSI tends to have faster and better functional outcome than curettage and HA. Curettage with HA and PSI have similar complete bone healing at month 12 follow up
Kajian Pola Pengembangan UMKM di Kampung Batik Laweyan melalui Modal Sosial dalam Menghadapi Perdagangan Bebas Kawasan ASEAN
In the development of the national economy in Indonesia, which were prioritized Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). SMEs become the backbone of a democratic economic system to reduce the problems of poverty and development were able to expand the economic base and can make a significant contribution to improving the local economy and the resilience of the national economyLaweyan Batik SMEs in order to survive in the current free trade is needed pattern appropriate strategy to maintain the existence of Batik Laweyan SMEs in trade flows freely. In a study using qualitative methods of data collection method interviews, participant observation and documentation. Then the data analysis techniques in this study using data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusionResults from the study suggests that the pattern of development of SMEs Batik Laweyan by innovating, updating product and then applying social capital to expand business network networkThe conclusion of the study outlined that social capital relationship with Innovation and cooperation in creating SME development is closely it is evident that most employers have defined it in their business. Always innovating in production and implement social capital in developing the business and working with business partners so that businesses can thrive batik productio
Kajian Arsitektur Vernakular pada Bangunan di Kampung Mahmud
Kampung Mahmud is one of the villages in Indonesia. Normally an indigenous village generally have distinctive features and special rules one of them is building. The building was established following the climate, culture, environment and materials, religion/beliefs, tradition law, science and technology at the time. Based on these, so Kampung Mahmud can be regarded as a vernacular village. Simplicity that highlighted of building be a characterize of building typology which existing in Kampung Mahmud. Nowadays building typologi in Kampung Mahmud has changes a lot started with the times. By qualitative research methods, survey, observations and interviews with relevant parties, obtained aspects that influence the development of the alteration building typology in Kampung Mahmud
Microscopic Mechanism and Pairing Symmetry of Superconductivity in the Noncentrosymmetric Heavy Fermion Systems CeRhSI and CeIrSi
We study the pairing symmetry of the noncentrosymmetric heavy fermion
superconductors CeRhSi and CeIrSi under pressures, which are both
antiferromagnets at ambient pressure. We solve the Eliashberg equation by means
of the random phase approximation and find that the mixed state of extended
s-wave and p-wave rather than the wave state could be realized by
enhanced antiferromagnetic spin fluctuations. It is elucidated that the gap
function has line nodes on the Fermi surface and the resulting density of state
in the superconducting state shows a similar character to that of usual d-wave
superconductors, resulting in the NMR relaxation rate that exhibits
no coherence peak and behaves like at low temperatures
Exciton Mediated Triplet Superconductivity in Th System PrOs4Sb12
In PrOs4Sb12, the lowest-lying singlet and triplet states in a Pr 4f^2
configuration hybridize with conduction electrons having local a_u and t_u
point-group symmetries. It is shown that for an attractive triplet pairing
interaction, the orbital degrees of freedom of the t_u component are important.
In addition, the Th point-group symmetry characteristic of skutterudites plays
an important role in stabilizing triplet superconductivity.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figure
