    DouFu: A Double Fusion Joint Learning Method For Driving Trajectory Representation

    Driving trajectory representation learning is of great significance for various location-based services, such as driving pattern mining and route recommendation. However, previous representation generation approaches tend to rarely address three challenges: 1) how to represent the intricate semantic intentions of mobility inexpensively; 2) complex and weak spatial-temporal dependencies due to the sparsity and heterogeneity of the trajectory data; 3) route selection preferences and their correlation to driving behavior. In this paper, we propose a novel multimodal fusion model, DouFu, for trajectory representation joint learning, which applies multimodal learning and attention fusion module to capture the internal characteristics of trajectories. We first design movement, route, and global features generated from the trajectory data and urban functional zones and then analyze them respectively with the attention encoder or feed forward network. The attention fusion module incorporates route features with movement features to create a better spatial-temporal embedding. With the global semantic feature, DouFu produces a comprehensive embedding for each trajectory. We evaluate representations generated by our method and other baseline models on classification and clustering tasks. Empirical results show that DouFu outperforms other models in most of the learning algorithms like the linear regression and the support vector machine by more than 10%.Comment: 11 pages, 7 figure

    Decoy State Quantum Key Distribution With Modified Coherent State

    To beat PNS attack, decoy state quantum key distribution (QKD) based on coherent state has been studied widely. We present a decoy state QKD protocol with modified coherent state (MCS). By destruction quantum interference, MCS with fewer multi-photon events can be get, which may improve key bit rate and security distance of QKD.     Numerical simulation of dental resurfacing of a feldspar porcelain with coarse diamond burs

    Dental bioceramics are more and more attractive to both dentists and patients due to their unique biocompatibility and esthetics; they can be fabricated efficiently using chair-side CAD/CAM dental systems. However, the failure rate of ceramic prostheses is noticeable high. The major clinical failure mode lies in surface and subsurface damage in the ceramic prostheses due to their inherent brittleness. In clinical practice, ceramic prostheses are intraorally adjusted and resurfaced using dental handpieces/burs for marginal and occlusal fit. The clinical adjustments using abrasive burs produce surface and subsurface damage in prostheses. This paper will address this issue via numerical simulation. Finite element analysis was utilised to model the dental resurfacing of a feldspar porcelain with coarse diamond burs and to predict the degrees of subsurface damage of the porcelain prostheses

    Past research has proven that employee experience has a positive impact on employee engagement. Based on the conceptual framework of Job Demands-Resources model (JD-R) model, this study regards efficient employee experience as a job resource to explore the impact of "employee experience" and” job demands” on employee engagement in organizations. Work requirements are further divided into challenge demand and hindrance demand. This study adopts the experimental design of the scenario method and uses two two-factor independent sample designs, namely 2x2(employee experience is high / employee experience is low x challenging job demands is high / challenging job demands is low) and 2x2(employee experience is high / employee experience is low x hindering job demands is high / hindering job demands is low).A total of 176 valid questionnaires were collected. The research results found that when employee experience is high, employee engagement is higher than when employee experience is low. Employee experience and job demands have an interactive effect on employee engagement. When employee experience is high, employee engagement will be higher when challenging job demands are added than when hindering job demands are added. It is expected that the results of this study can help in theoretical and practical application

    AcrFinder: genome mining anti-CRISPR operons in prokaryotes and their viruses

    Anti-CRISPR (Acr) proteins encoded by (pro)phages/(pro)viruses have a great potential to enable a more controllable genome editing. However, genome mining new Acr proteins is challenging due to the lack of a conserved functional domain and the low sequence similarity among experimentally char- acterized Acr proteins. We introduce here AcrFinder, a web server (http://bcb.unl.edu/AcrFinder) that combines three well-accepted ideas used by pre- vious experimental studies to pre-screen genomic data for Acr candidates. These ideas include ho- mology search, guilt-by-association (GBA), and CRISPR-Cas self-targeting spacers. Compared to existing bioinformatics tools, AcrFinder has the following unique functions: (i) it is the first online server specifically mining genomes for Acr-Aca operons; (ii) it provides a most comprehensive Acr and Aca (Acr-associated regulator) database (populated by GBA-based Acr and Aca datasets); (iii) it combines homology-based, GBA-based, and self-targeting approaches in one software package; and (iv) it provides a user-friendly web interface to take both nucleotide and protein sequence files as inputs, and output a result page with graphic representation of the genomic contexts of Acr-Aca operons. The leave-one-out cross-validation on ex- perimentally characterized Acr-Aca operons showed that AcrFinder had a 100% recall. AcrFinder will be a valuable web resource to help experimental microbiologists discover new Anti-CRISPRs

    Measuring the Determinants of Student Satisfaction in Practical Teacher Training Education Program in China

    Despite extensive research on student satisfaction in HEIs, notable gaps exist in investigating the profound impact of practical teacher training in education programs, particularly in China. This study examines the relationships between student satisfaction and its predictors in practical teacher training among Chinese undergraduates. Results show that expectation, perceived administrative service quality, perceived teaching quality, and perceived value are significant predictors of student satisfaction. However, image and teacher-student interaction have no significant relationships with student satisfaction. The six constructs represent 49% of the variance in student satisfaction. These findings indicate the necessity for enhanced management of practical teacher training programs

    Life fingerprints of nuclear reactions in the body of animals

    Nuclear reactions are a very important natural phenomenon in the universe. On the earth, cosmic rays constantly cause nuclear reactions. High energy beams created by medical devices also induce nuclear reactions in the human body. The biological role of these nuclear reactions is unknown. Here we show that the in vivo biological systems are exquisite and sophisticated by nature in influence on nuclear reactions and in resistance to radical damage in the body of live animals. In this study, photonuclear reactions in the body of live or dead animals were induced with 50-MeV irradiation. Tissue nuclear reactions were detected by positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of the induced beta+ activity. We found the unique tissue "fingerprints" of beta+ (the tremendous difference in beta+ activities and tissue distribution patterns among the individuals) are imprinted in all live animals. Within any individual, the tissue "fingerprints" of 15O and 11C are also very different. When the animal dies, the tissue "fingerprints" are lost. The biochemical, rather than physical, mechanisms could play a critical role in the phenomenon of tissue "fingerprints". Radiolytic radical attack caused millions-fold increases in 15O and 11C activities via different biochemical mechanisms, i.e. radical-mediated hydroxylation and peroxidation respectively, and more importantly the bio-molecular functions (such as the chemical reactivity and the solvent accessibility to radicals). In practice biologically for example, radical attack can therefore be imaged in vivo in live animals and humans using PET for life science research, disease prevention, and personalized radiation therapy based on an individual's bio-molecular response to ionizing radiation

    Quantum repeaters free of polarization disturbance and phase noise

    Original quantum repeater protocols based on single-photon interference suffer from phase noise of the channel, which makes the long-distance quantum communication infeasible. Fortunately, two-photon interference type quantum repeaters can be immune to phase noise of the channel. However, this type quantum repeaters may still suffer from polarization disturbance of the channel. Here we propose a quantum repeaters protocol which is free of polarization disturbance of the channel based on the invariance of the anti-symmetric Bell state ψ>=(H>V>V>H>)/2|\psi^->=(|H>|V>-|V>|H>)/\sqrt{2} under collective noise. Our protocol is also immune to phase noise with the Sagnac interferometer configuration. Through single-atom cavity-QED technology and linear optics, this scheme can be implemented easily.Comment: 5 pages, 2 figure
