Resignificación del enfoque metodológico como experiencia de transformación en la práctica de aula de los docentes
La Institución Educativa Distrital Despertar del Sur está ubicada al sur de la ciudad de Barranquilla, en la localidad metropolitana, barrio la Américas; en un contexto social mayormente afectado por problemas psicosociales que alteran el normal desarrollo académico de los estudiantes. Es por eso que la institución se ve en la necesidad de revisar su horizonte institucional estableciendo como referente la formación de líderes capaces de transformar su entorno social por lo que se hizo útil la resignificación de una parte del componente pedagógico del PEI de la institución, más específicamente en el enfoque metodológico para buscar que las prácticas de aula de los docentes tuvieran un proceso de transformación donde se cambiara, la forma como se planeaban por la reflexión académica en busca de coherencia con los elementos del modelo pedagógico los cuales era necesario verlos reflejados en el desarrollo de la práctica de aula y se pudieran implementar estrategias que sean comunes para los grados y las áreas de enseñanza con técnicas de aprendizajes colaborativo, cooperativo y experiencial, así como la evaluación de estas técnicas logrando la dinamización en las clases y productos evidenciados en portafolios, representaciones teatrales y comunidades de aprendizajes como las técnicas más representativas del enfoque metodológico de la institución
Utilization of Landsat and Field Data in Geological Mapping of Vom-Kuru Area, North-central Nigeria
The study area is a part of the Jos-Bukuru younger granite ring complex of North-central, Nigeria. It is very difficult to carry out geological mapping due to its rugged terrain as well as difficulty in accessing several outcrops due to communal conflicts. In view of this, the study integrated Landsat and field data to precisely map out the geology of the area. Five (5) land cover elements i.e. soil minerals, drainage pattern, surface water bodies, vegetations and rock outcrops were successfully mapped out from Landsat data. Thus, mafic and granitic rocks were observed and classified as rock units. One hundred and twenty-four (124) lineaments were automatically extracted in PCI Geomatica software and analyses show that they trend majorly in a North-south direction. Seventeen (17) rock samples were obtained in the field; they were studied and analyzed, and was observed that four (4) basic rocks units occurred in the area: basalt, biotite microgranite, biotite granite and undifferentiated older (porphyry) granite. Furthermore, five (5) groundwater samples were analyzed for major cations and anions elements using Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS) and the result indicated the presence Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, K+, HC03-, S042-and Cl- where the concentration of Na+/K+ ions are greater than Ca2+/Mg2+ while which HC03- is greater than Cl-/S042- and as such the alkali-bicarbonate dominated the composition of the groundwater. This result proved valid that the geology of the study area is composed predominantly of rocks that are mainly alkaline in nature and this also correlated with the result of the geology obtained from remotely sensed data as well as from fieldwork. Therefore, the study has shown that the area is composed of basically two (2) main rock types: mafic rocks (basalts), felsic rocks (biotite microgranite, biotite granite and undifferentiated older porphyry granite). A study comparing methods of instruction for occupation education in agriculture
Occupational education in agriculture has increased in importance
as job opportunities have shifted. Students require a broad
scope of information about the numerous and increasing agriculture
related occupations. Although there are several methods of teaching
that could be employed, this study attempted to compare audio-visual
aids with field trips. The 87 students in the introductory Vocational
Agriculture classes at Lebanon Union High School were divided into
a control group, audio-visual group, and a field trip group for investigation.
Each group was given a pre-test and a post-test to determine
their knowledge of agricultural occupations.
The purpose of the study was to compare the use of audiovisual
aids with field trips as teaching methods for occupational
information.
Within the limitations of this study, the following conclusions
are based on the findings:
1. Students seemed to gain more benefit from field trips than
from audio-visual aids. This was not mathematically measurable,
but was observed through attitudes and increased interest.
2. Audio-visual aids are excellent for introducing occupations
or illustrating occupations unavailable for field trips.
3. Subjective grading of pre-test and post-test gave indefinite
research data
HUBUNGAN ANTARA REGULASI DIRI DENGAN PROKRASTINASI DALAM MENYUSUN TUGAS AKHIR PADA MAHASISWA TINGKAT AKHIR
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara regulasi diri dengan prokrastinasi dalam menyusun tugas akhir pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah “Ada hubungan negatif antara regulasi diri dengan prokrastinasi dalam menyusun tugas akhir pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir”. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah incidental sampling. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Universitas Katolik Soegijapranata Semarang yang sedang menyusun tugas akhir selama lebih dari tiga semester dengan jumlah 104 responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik korelasi product moment dari Pearson. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan korelasi (rxy = - 0,056; p = 0,287 (p>0,05)). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara regulasi diri dengan prokrastinasi dalam menyusun tugas akhir pada mahasiswa tingkat akhi
