    This research aims to study the response of lettuce on the  application of a variety of biological fertilizers and biological agents. This research was conducted at the Greenhouse School of Agriculture, University of Andalas Padang, between April and September 2008. This study using Completely Randomized Design with factorial  of two factors. Factor I is type of biofertilizer (a1: TKTH, a2: JPTH, a3: SKCT, and a4: ATCT) and factor II is the type of biological agent (b1: FMA, b2: Pf, b3: Bb, and b4: FMA + Bb + Pf). Observation parameters include: plant height, root length, and fresh weight of lettuce. Observations show that there is interaction between biological fertilizers with different types of biological agents on the growth of lettuce. The highest plant (29.33 cm) was observed on the treatment of biological fertilizers SKCT with a mixture of biological agents (FMA + Pf + Bb).  The longest lettuce roots was obtained on the treatment of biological fertilizers  SKCT with biological agents Bb, however the treatment did not differ significantly from AMF + PF + BB (19.67 versus 19:00 cm). While the heaviest of fresh lettuce (99.68 g / plant) is obtained on the treatment of ATCT biological fertilizers combined with FMA biological agent

    Inovasi Pembelajaran Mata Kuliah Pembelajaran Mikro Berbasis Model PjBL (Project Based Learning) Untuk Meningkatkan Kreativitas Mahasiswa : (Learning Innovation of Micro Learning Courses Based on The PjBL (Project Based Learning) Model to Increase Student Creativity)

    Good learning is innovative learning following the times. To support the vision and mission of the Jambi Smart University, changes will be made to the micro learning courses in the biology education study program. The change is learning innovation using the PjBL (Project Based Learning) learning model. With this PjBL model, learning tools, teaching materials, and evaluation instruments will be developed to increase student creativity in the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP Jambi University. The research method uses classroom action research (CAR) which is planned for 2 cycles. The stages include: planning, implementation and observation, and reflection. At the planning stage, a small discussion was held between the teaching team and agreed on the implementation of PJBL. At the implementation stage, students make a project in the form of a learning video containing teaching skills. At the observation stage: students are asked to present their project in front of the class virtually, then lecturers and colleagues observe and provide feedback. Finally, the reflection stage, input and comments from lecturers and colleagues are recorded and project improvements are made. In the first cycle, the results of the observation were 55% in the pretty good category. Then improvements were made from input and comments from lecturers and colleagues, so that in the second cycle there was an increase in student creativity at a score of 80% in the good category. Pembelajaran yang baik adalah pembelajaran yang inovatif mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Untuk mendukung visi dan misi Universitas Jambi smart maka mata kuliah pembelajaran mikro di prodi pendidikan biologi akan diadakan perubahan. Perubahan itu adalah inovasi pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran PjBL (Project Based Learning). Dengan model PjBL ini akan dikembangkan perangkat pembelajaran, bahan ajar, dan instrument evaluasi untuk meningkatkan kreativitas mahasiswa di Prodi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Jambi. Metode penelitian mengunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang direncanakan 2 siklus. Adapun tahapnnya meliputi: perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan observasi, dan refleksi. Pada tahap perencanaan dilakukan diskusi kecil antar tim pengajar dan disepakati penerapan PJBL. Pada tahap pelaksanaan mahasiswa membuat proyek berupa video pembelajaran yang berisi keterampilan mengajar. Pada tahap pengamatan: mahasiswa diminta untuk mempresentasikan proyeknya tersebut didepan kelas secara virtual, kemudian dosen dan teman sejawat mengamati dan memberikan umpan balik. Terakhir tahap refleksi masukan dan komentar dari dosen dan teman sejawat dicatat dan dilakukan perbaikan proyek. Pada siklus 1 diperoleh hasil pengamatan 55 % kategori cukup baik. Lalu diadakan perbaikan dari masukan dan komentar dari dosen dan teman sejawat maka pada siklus II mengalami kenaikan kreativitas mahasiswa pada skor 80 % dalam kategori baik.

    Performance appraisal is an appraisal based on observations of assessments of student activities as they occur. Assessment is done with the performance, behavior or interaction of students. The development of performance assessment instruments (Performent Assessment) is expected to actively involve students in the learning process. The students will certainly feel motivated in showing their performance, because so far their performance has rarely been assessed, so that their minds are no longer just what needs to be learned, but have improved on what needs to be done. Type This study uses research and development (Research and Development), because it matches the objectives to be achieved. While the research development model chosen is the ADDIE model. Expert validation is carried out by the learning design validator, and the material validator. Practitioner validation is carried out by high school biology teachers. The research subjects were students of SMA N 5 Muaro Jambi class XI IPA, with a total of 6 people for small group trials and 20 people for large group trials. The results of the analysis were obtained that the instruments developed were very helpful for teachers in making assessments when practicum and instruments were suitable for use. Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilatar belakang pentingnya penilaian saat praktikum, biasanya penilaian dilakukan hanya pada laporan paktikum saja, bukan pada setiap proses yang terjadi saat praktikum. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui tahapan pengembangan instrumen penilaian kinerja praktikum pada materi sel sebagai unit terkecil kehidupan. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development), Sedangkan Model  pengembangan yang digunakan mengadopsi model ADDIE dengan lima tahapan, yaitu: Analisisa (Analysis), Perancangan (Design), Pengembangan (Development), Implementasi (Implementasi), dan Evaluasi (Evaluate). Data kualitatif diperoleh dari saran-saran validator ahli desain instrumen dan ahli materi. Hasil pengembangan validasi ahli desain instrumen diperoleh dengan skor akhir 73,3% dengan kategori layak. Sedangkan validasi ahli materi diperoleh skor 74,7% dengan kategori layak,  dan respon guru sebagai pengguna instrumen diperoleh skor 80% dengan kategori baik, sehingga dapat disimpulkan instrumen penilaian kinerja praktikum pada materi sel sebagai unit terkecil kehidupan layak untuk digunakan

    Students still have difficulty understanding plant material because they tend to memorize and do not understand the meaning of the learned materials. This study aims to determine the application of discovery learning outside the classroom to improve critical thinking skills, learning styles, attitudes, scientific activities, and a better learning biology atmosphere. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) consists of three cycles involving students of class X MIA 2 SMAN 10 Batanghari. The instruments used were observation sheets, tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Critical thinking skills, critical thinking attitudes, and scientific activities, in general, are increasing from cycle I to cycle III. In the aspect of learning style, the number of students using visual learning styles and auditory learning styles has increased from cycle I to cycle III. In contrast, the number of students using kinesthetic learning styles has decreased over the cycles.  The use of outdoor learning by utilizing urban forests and school gardens creates a comfortable and pleasant learning atmosphere. Students are motivated to be actively involved; they can maximize attitudes, scientific activities, critical thinking skills, and learning styles in the learning process

    Implementasi model project based learning berbasis flipped classroom dan pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis

    Penelitian telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi Model Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis Flipped Classroom (FC) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan eksperimen semu (quasi eksperiment) desain nonequivalent control group design. Subyek penelitian seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi tahun ajaran 2020/2021 berjumlah 44 siswa. Penentuan sampel digunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data diperoleh dari hasil pretest dan posttest serta kuesioner kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Instrumen digunakan setelah dilakukan validasi oleh tim ahli. Berdasarkan analisis data, bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbasis Flipped Classroom memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa lebih tinggi pada implementasi model PjBL daripada kelas konvensional. Kelas PjBL berbasis FC diperoleh rata-rata nilai adalah 83,13 dengan standar deviasi 11,44, sedangkan pada kelompok konvensional diperoleh rata-rata nilai 73,40 dengan standar deviasi 13,15. Hasil uji menunjukkan thitung = 3,14 dan ttabel = 2,02 (thitung ttabel) pada taraf signifikansi 0,05

    Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik TKKS dan inokulasi Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskula (FMA) serta memperoleh dosis yang optimum terhadap pertumbuhan bibit jelutung rawa secara optimal. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktorial dengan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah dosis pupuk organik TKKS (0,145; 290 dan 580 g/tanaman) dan faktor kedua dosis FMA Mycofer® (0,5; 10 dan 15 g/tanaman), ulangan sebanyak tiga kali. Parameter penelitian berupa tinggi batang, diameter batang, jumlah daun, luas daun, rasio pucuk akar dan persentase akar terkolonisasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan Multi Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf α = 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh nyata pupuk organik TKKS terhadap pertambahan diameter batang dan rasio pucuk akar. Pemberian dosis FMA menunjukkan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap persentase kolonisasi akar. Pemberian kombinasi keduanya juga menunjukkan pengaruh interaksi yang nyata terhadap tinggi batang dan luas daun. Dosis optimum diperoleh pada perlakuan pupuk organik TKKS 145 g dan inokulasi FMA 5 g. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disarankan untuk menggunakan pupuk organik TKKS dengan dosis 145 g yang dikombinasikan dengan dosis FMA 5 g/tanaman. Kata Kunci : TKKS, pertumbuhan, jelutung rawa, FMA

    Model of teaching Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) requires group of students to share information back to their own group from their counterpart groups. The shared information is limited as oral information dominantly shared during the teaching processes. The objective of this study was to improve shared information between groups of students in physics learning by using video at Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Jalal Tebo. The video was played to enhance shared information between groups of students using TSTSlearning model. Video was shown to the incoming students to enhance oral explanation. The number of information shared between these groups of students was compared with conventional TSTS class. Two-way anova was used to analyze the data. The results show that the use of video in TSTS learning is not significantly affect the shared information between groups of students

    The aim of the study was to utilize medicinal plants used by the Anak Dalam tribe (SAD) in Sungai Ulak Village, Merangin Regency, Jambi as a source for learning plant taxonomy. The method used is an explorative survey method and interviews. The stages of the research included interviews and making a herbarium. The results of the interviews that have been conducted obtained 31 types of medicinal plants used by SAD in Sungai Ulak Village, Merangin District, Jambi. The use of medicinal plants in healing a disease is classified into 22 disease groups. Plants used as wound medicine and fever medicine are the most widely used, namely 5 types with a percentage of 22.73%. abstrak. Penelitian bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan  tumbuhan  obat yang digunakan Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) di Desa Sungai Ulak Kabupaten Merangin Jambi Sebagai Sumber Belajar Taksonomi Tumbuhan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey eksporatif dan wawancara. Tahapan penelitian meliputi wawancara dan pembuatan herbarium. Hasil wawancara yang telah dilakukan diperoleh  31 jenis   tumbuhan obat yang dimanfaatkan SAD di Desa Sungai Ulak Kabupaten Merangin Jambi. Pemanfaatan  tumbuhan obat dalam penyembuhan suatu penyakit  digolongkan menjadi 22 kelompok penyakit. Tumbuhan yang digunakan  sebagai obat luka dan obat demam merupakan jumlah yang paling banyak digunakan  yaitu  5  jenis  dengan persentase sebesar 22.73%

    Abstrak Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Menghasilkan modul elektronik yang memenuhi aspek kesesuaian isi dengan kurikulum, penyajian materi dan keterbacaan. 2) Menguji kelayakan modul elektronik dengan pendekatan saintifik yang dibuat dengan memperhatikan prinsip pengembangan module ekronik melalui validasi dan ujicoba pada siswa kelas VIII. 3) Mengetahui respon siswa terhadap module ektronikdengan pendekatan saintifik   materi system peredaran darah pada manusia untuk kelas VIII SMP. 4) Mengetahui respon guru terhadap modul elektronik dengan pendekatan saintifik materi system peredaran darah pada manusia untuk kelas VIII SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan R&D (research and development/penelitian dan pengembangan) dengan menggunakan model Lee dan Owen, dengan langkah 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation dan 5) Evaluation (ADDIE). Penelitian pengembangan ini menghasilkan modul elektronik menggunakan 3D PageFlip Professional pada materi sistem peredaran darah pada manusia, berdasarkan hasil validasi dan ujicoba memperoleh kriteria “sangat baik”.  Maka dapat dikatakan bahwa modul elektronik yang dikembangkan sudah layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar untuk siswa kelas VIII SMP

    Pengembangan Ensiklopedia Digital Hewan Vertebrata Berbasis Android Studio 2.2 untuk Kelas X SMA: Development of Digital Encyclopedia Vertebrate Animals-Based Android Studio 2.2 for Class X of Senior High School

    The proper media will easy students to understand subject matter in class. This study aims to develop digital media in the form of encyclopedia for vertebrate as a source of student learning. The This research and development produce digital encyclopedias of vertebrate that is used as media in learning biology. The model used in this study is the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Products that have been developed are then validated by material experts and media experts. The validation process by the two experts was carried out three times before finally the prouduct was declared feasible to be tested both for teachers and students. The response showed that biology teacher in the SMA 4 Muaro Jambi assesed the product as "very good". The results of the small group trials obtained a percentage value of 96.3% (very good category), while the large group trials obtained a percentage value of 84.6% (very good category). Based on the results of these trials, overall the digital encyclopedia of vertebrate animals based on Android Studio is categorized very good to be used as one of the learning resources in learning biology in high school
