Looking into the Environmental Factors Affecting the Performance of Ubiquitous Technologies Deployment: An Empirical Study on Chinese Information and Communication Technology Companies

    Get PDF
Effective deployment of ubiquitous technologies can help companies improve the business efficiency, especially for those ICT (Information communication technology) companies who are involved in M-business, M-commerce, and etc. However, there are many factors could affect the performance of the ubiquitous technologies deployment, such as the company’s management, the employee’s coordination, and etc. In this paper, we are focused on the environmental factors that would have an impact on the performance of organizations which have deployed or is deploying ubiquitous technologies, and investigate more than 50 Chinese ICT companies. According to our findings, in the context of China, a sensible, dependent, and interactive business relationship with the outside environment will have a positive impact on their ubiquitous technologies deployment’s performance, while the decentralization and hierarchism within organizational structure in the inside environment will have a negative impact on their ubiquitous technologies deployment’s performance

Recommender System-Based Diffusion Inferring for Open Social Networks

    Get PDF
Open social network (OSN) plays a more significant role in information propagation through the rapid developing of information technology. Since information diffusion is an essential process happens in OSN, it has been studied in many studies. Several models have been proposed to infer the diffusion process and reproduce diffusion network. However, these methods have two critical problems: 1) ignoring the effects of user social characteristics and 2) inaccuracy resulted from calculating the influence of different features independently. To address these limitations, a diffusion inferring method based on a recommender system (DIM-SPTF) was proposed. The DIM-SPTF method considers the propagation process between the users as the recommendation process of information and employs a recommender system to infer the propagation relationship. Through determining the propagation relations among all users in the observed topic data set, an information diffusion network can be finally obtained. Experimental results show that DIM-SPTF leads to improvements in performance compared with the state-of-the-art methods

В статье рассматривается политическая терминология в русском переводе выступления Си Цзиньпина в 2022 г.Terminological vocabulary is an integral part of the speech of state leaders at international events, so its translation is very important for relevant understanding of the ideology and opinions of the state leader by other actors in the international community. The article focuses on the study of the peculiarities of the political translation terminology from Chinese into Russian. The object of the study is the translation strategies used in translating political terms. The purpose of the article is to analyze the specific features of the terms of political translation. The research methodology is based on the principles of cognitive linguistics, interdisciplinarity and comprehensive analysis. Based on the principles of cognitive translation, the article explores political terminology in the Russian translation of President Xi Jinping's speech at the World Economic Forum in 2022 and analyzes the translation strategies used

    Spiro[cyclopentane-1,2′(1′H)-pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidin]-4′(3′H)-one

The title compound, C11H13N2O, was obtained by cyclocondensation of 2-aminopyridine-3-carbonitrile with cyclopentanone. The molecule is built up from two fused six-membered rings and one five-membered ring linked through a spiro C atom. Both the pyrimidine and the cyclopentane rings adopt envelope conformations. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked by intermolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds

A magnetic Fe3O4/GO composite with potential for rapid solid-liquid separation through a magnetic field was synthesized using GO (graphene oxide) and Fe3O4 (ferriferous oxide). Characterization of Fe3O4/GO used scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FT-IR), and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). A number of factors such as pH and coexisting ions on adsorbent dose were tested in a series of batch experiments. The results showed that GO and Fe3O4 are strongly integrated. For pH values in the range of 3.0~9.0, the removal efficiency of Sb(III) using the synthesized Fe3O4/GO remained high (95%). The adsorption showed good fit to a pseudo-second-order and Langmiur model, with the maximum adsorption capacity of 9.59 mg/g maintained across pH 3.0–9.0. Thermodynamic parameters revealed that the adsorption process was spontaneous and endothermic. Analysis by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) showed that the adsorption process is accompanied by a redox reaction

“Hot Edges” in Inverse Opal Structure Enable Efficient CO2 Electrochemical Reduction and Sensitive in-situ Raman Characterization

    Get PDF
Conversion of CO 2 into fuels and chemicals via electroreduction has attracted significant interest. Via mesostructure design to tune the electric field distribution in the electrode, it is demonstrated that the Cu-In alloy with an inverse opal (CI-1-IO) structure provides efficient electrochemical CO 2 reduction and allows for sensitive detection of the CO 2 reduction intermediates via surface-enhanced Raman scattering. The significant enhancement of Raman signals of the intermediates on the CI-1-IO surface can be attributed to electric field enhancement on the "hot edges" of the inverse opal structure. Additionally, a highest CO 2 reduction faradaic efficiency (FE) of 92% (sum of formate and CO) is achieved at-0.6 V vs. RHE on the CI-1-IO electrode. The diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (DRIFTS) results show that the Cu-In alloy with an inverse opal structure has faster adsorption kinetics and higher adsorption capacity for CO 2. The "hot edges" of the bowl-like structure concentrate electric fields, due to the high curvature, and also concentrate K + on the active sites, which can lower the energy barrier of the CO 2 reduction reaction. This research provides new insight into the design of materials for efficient CO 2 conversion and the detection of intermediates during the CO 2 reduction process. </p

Association of Life's Simple 7 with mild cognitive impairment in community-dwelling older adults in China: a cross-sectional study

BackgroundLife's Simple 7 (LS7), a metric composed of seven intervenable cardiovascular risk factors, is initiated by the American Heart Association to improve cardiovascular health. The components of LS7 have been reported as risk factors for dementia. However, few studies investigated the association between LS7 metric and mild cognitive impairment (MCI).MethodsThe study was carried out in a primary care facility between 8 June and 10 July 2022. A total of 297 community-dwelling residents aged 65 years or older were recruited. Sociodemographic, comorbidity, and lifestyle characteristics were collected through the questionnaires, and biological parameters were obtained from blood sample examinations. Logistic regression was used to analyze the association between LS7 scores (overall, behavioral, and biological) and individual components with MCI, adjusting sex, age, education, and cardiovascular disease (CVD).ResultsIn comparison with the cognitively intact group (n = 195), the MCI group (n = 102) had a lower education level and a higher proportion of hypertension. Multivariate logistic regression analysis, adjusting sex, age, education, and CVD demonstrated a significant association between MCI and overall LS7 score [odd ratio = 0.805, 95% confidence interval (0.690, 0.939)] and biological score [odd ratio = 0.762, 95% confidence interval (0.602, 0.965)].ConclusionLife's Simple 7 was associated with MCI in community-dwelling older adults, indicating that LS7 could be used as guidance in the prevention of dementia in the community

Molecular orbital analysis reveals that the Au-23((+9)) core is an exact analogue of the F-2 molecule in electronic configuration. Chemical bonding analysis by the adaptive natural density partitioning method confirms the superatomic molecule bonding framework of Au-38(24)(SR) in a straightforward manner
