Fluctuation characteristics and rolling control for an underactuated spherical underwater exploration robot
Compared with other underwater exploration robots, Spherical underwater robot has an outstanding advantage for the underwater exploration, whose spherical shell has the excellent resiliency to protect the internal electronic components. In addition, this steering resistance is very small to move flexibly. In this paper, a type of spherical underwater robot with the pendulums and a propeller was studied on moving at the water bottom in a rolling manner. The structure and force were analyzed to understand that the hydrodynamic force’s affection on the robot’s rolling at the water bottom. A mathematical model was established with the mass parameters and speeding parameters. The virtual simulation environment was established in Adams software. Furthermore, the coupling fluctuation characteristics of the speed, swing angle and the torque were studied by the simulation and the experiment in a pool. The study proved that this robot not only can use the propeller to move in water, but also can roll at the water bottom by driving the spherical shell. Especially, the result also can be obtained that the robot can roll at water bottom stably by increasing the pendulum mass and lowering the motor speed

Sustained complete response to first-line immunochemotherapy for highly aggressive TP53/MDM2-mutated upper tract urothelial carcinoma with ERBB2 mutations, luminal immune-infiltrated contexture, and non-mesenchymal state: a case report and literature review
BackgroundUpper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) is a rare malignancy. The management of metastatic or unresectable UTUC is mainly based on evidence extrapolated from histologically homologous bladder cancer, including platinum-based chemotherapy and immune checkpoint inhibitor alone, whereas UTUC exhibits more invasiveness, worse prognosis, and comparatively inferior response to treatments. First-line immunochemotherapy regimens have been attempted in clinical trials for unselected naïve-treated cases, but their efficacies relative to standard chemo- or immuno-monotherapy still remain controversial. Here, we present a case of highly aggressive UTUC for whom comprehensive genetic and phenotypic signatures predicted sustained complete response to first-line immunochemotherapy.Case presentationA 50-year-old man received retroperitoneoscopic nephroureterectomy and regional lymphadenectomy for high-risk locally advanced UTUC. Postoperatively, he developed rapid progression of residual unresectable metastatic lymph nodes. Pathologic analysis and next-generation sequencing classified the tumor as highly aggressive TP53/MDM2-mutated subtype with features more than expression of programmed death ligand-1, including ERBB2 mutations, luminal immune-infiltrated contexture, and non-mesenchymal state. Immunochemotherapy combining gemcitabine, carboplatin, and off-label programmed death-1 inhibitor sintilimab was initiated, and sintilimab monotherapy was maintained up to 1 year. Retroperitoneal lymphatic metastases gradually regressed to complete response. Blood-based analyses were performed longitudinally for serum tumor markers, inflammatory parameters, peripheral immune cells, and circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) profiling. The ctDNA kinetics of tumor mutation burden and mean variant allele frequency accurately predicted postoperative progression and sustained response to the following immunochemotherapy, which were mirrored by dynamic changes in abundances of ctDNA mutations from UTUC-typical variant genes. The patient remained free of recurrence or metastasis as of this publishing, over 2 years after the initial surgical treatment.ConclusionImmunochemotherapy may be a promising first-line option for advanced or metastatic UTUC selected with specific genomic or phenotypic signatures, and blood-based analyses incorporating ctDNA profiling provide precise longitudinal monitoring
Research on Construction Method of Operational Reliability Control Model for Space Manipulator Based on Particle Filter
The operational reliability of the space manipulator is closely related to the control method. However the existing control methods seldom consider the operational reliability from the system level. A method to construct the operational reliability system control model based on particle filter for the space manipulator is presented in this paper. Firstly, the definition of operational reliability and the degree of operational reliability are given and the state space equations of the control system are established as well. Secondly, based on the particle filter algorithm, a method to estimate the distribution of the end position error and calculate the degree of operational reliability with any form of noise distribution in real time is established. Furthermore, a performance model based on quality loss theory is built and a performance function is obtained to evaluate the quality of the control process. The adjustment value of the end position of the space manipulator can be calculated by using the performance function. Finally, a large number of simulation results show that the control method proposed in this paper can improve the task success rate effectively compared to the simulation results using traditional control methods and control methods based on Bayesian estimation
A Hierarchical Reliability Control Method for a Space Manipulator Based on the Strategy of Autonomous Decision-Making
In order to maintain and enhance the operational reliability of a robotic manipulator deployed in space, an operational reliability system control method is presented in this paper. First, a method to divide factors affecting the operational reliability is proposed, which divides the operational reliability factors into task-related factors and cost-related factors. Then the models describing the relationships between the two kinds of factors and control variables are established. Based on this, a multivariable and multiconstraint optimization model is constructed. Second, a hierarchical system control model which incorporates the operational reliability factors is constructed. The control process of the space manipulator is divided into three layers: task planning, path planning, and motion control. Operational reliability related performance parameters are measured and used as the system’s feedback. Taking the factors affecting the operational reliability into consideration, the system can autonomously decide which control layer of the system should be optimized and how to optimize it using a control level adjustment decision module. The operational reliability factors affect these three control levels in the form of control variable constraints. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can achieve a greater probability of meeting the task accuracy requirements, while extending the expected lifetime of the space manipulator
Medical insurance payment schemes and patient medical expenses: a cross-sectional study of lung cancer patients in urban China
BackgroundAs the main cause of cancer death, lung cancer imposes seriously health and economic burdens on individuals, families, and the health system. In China, there is no national study analyzing the hospitalization expenditures of different payment methods by lung cancer inpatients. Based on the 2010-2016 database of insured urban resident lung cancer inpatients from the China Medical Insurance Research Association (CHIRA), this paper aims to investigate the characteristics and cost of hospitalized lung cancer patient, to examine the differences in hospital expenses and patient out-of-pocket (OOP) expenses under four medical insurance payment methods: fee-for-service (FFS), per-diem payments, capitation payments (CAP) and case-based payments, and to explore the medical insurance payment method that can be conducive to controlling the cost of lung cancer.MethodThis is a 2010-2016, 7-year cross-sectional study. CHIRA data are not available to researchers after 2016. The Medical Insurance Database of CHIRA was screened using the international disease classification system to yield 28,200 inpatients diagnosed with lung cancer (ICD-10: C34, C34.0, C34.1, C34.2, C34.3, C34.8, C34.9). The study includes descriptive analysis and regression analysis based on generalized linear models (GLM).ResultsThe average patient age was 63.4 years and the average length of hospital stay (ALOS) was 14.2 day; 60.7% of patients were from tertiary hospitals; and 45% were insured by FFS. The per-diem payment had the lowest hospital expenses (RMB7496.00/US208.52). Compared with FFS hospital expenses, per-diem was 21.3% lower (95% CI = -0.265, -0.215) and case-based payment was 8.4% lower (95% CI = -0.151, -0.024). Compared with the FFS, OOP expenses, per-diem payments were 9.2% lower (95% CI = -0.130, -0.063) and CAP was 15.1% lower (95% CI = -0.151, -0.024).ConclusionFor lung cancer patients, per-diem payment generated the lowest hospital expenses, while CAP meant patients bore the lowest OOP costs. Policy makers are suggested to give priority to case-based payments to achieve a tripartite balance among medical insurers, hospitals, and insured members. We also recommend future studies comparing the disparities of various diseases for the cause of different medical insurance schemes

With the increasing demand of space technology,the traditional single layer satellite constellation network is restricted in the development of future space technology because of its simple structure.For this reason,more and more researchers have carried out the research on the multi-layer satellite constellation network in recent years.This paper put forward a new GEO/MEO/LEO satellite constellation design based on the advantages of multi-layer satellite constellation to achieve full coverage of the earth with as little satellites as possible.It is more stereo than traditional style.Finally,we use STK and MATLAB to realize the digital simulation of this design.The rationality and effectiveness of this design are verified by comparison and analysis of the length of the satellite link,the communication pitch angle and azimuth angle

A 3-cm-long optical reference cavity for transportable miniaturized ultra-stable laser is designed and analyzed using finite element analysis (FEA). Although the tiny cavity is formed in a conventional way, in which a cylinder spacer made of ultra-low expansion (ULE) glass is optically contacted with fused-silica mirror substrates and compensation rings, the compensation rings are specially designed in order to broaden the zero-thermal-expansion temperature tuning range. In addition, the cavity is capable of being rigidly fixed by clamping both end sections of the cylinder spacer along the axis. The thermodynamic analysis shows that a larger tuning span of the zero-thermal-expansion temperature varying from −10 K to + 23 K compared to all-ULE cavity is benefited, resulting in the whole optical reference cavity could work around room temperature. Meanwhile, the statics analysis indicates the design is insensitive to extrusion force and vibration so that it owns a potential of solid performance after transportation.</p
Mineralogical characteristic and beneficiation evaluation of rare earth carbonate wall rock
In order to rationalize the development and utilization of the wall rock discarded during rare earth mining, chemical analysis, inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, artificial panning, optical microscope analysis, mineral liberation analysis and energy-dispersive spectroscopy were used to study the process mineralogy of the wall rock. The results show that the main useful elements in the rare earth wall rock were iron, light rare earth elements, fluorine and niobium. Iron was mainly occurrence as magnetic iron in magnetite, rare earth elements in bastnaesite and monazite, fluorine as a independent mineral in fluorite and niobium in columbite. The main useful minerals were finely disseminated, with magnetite (48.16%), bastnaesite (49.04%), monazite (42.18%), fluorite (39.30%) and columbite (63.26%) distributed in -0.030 mm particle size. The useful minerals were evaluated separately for beneficiation based on the process mineralogical characteristics of the rare earth wall rock, and the results showed that magnetite, rare earth and fluorite resources could be effectively recovered using magnetic separation, flotation, gravity concentration and leaching enrichment methods. The sequential recovery of iron, rare earth, fluorine and niobium elements produces iron concentrate (65.40% TFe at recovery of 38.03%), rare earth concentrate (50.66% REE at recovery of 62.73%), fluorite concentrate (95.23% CaF2 at recovery of 40.34%) and niobium iron ore concentrate (1.63% Nb2O5 at recovery of 5.56%). This study provides recommendations for the rational development and utilization of rare earth wall rock and provides reasonable levels of recovery predictions
Research progress in functionalization of photocured bioceramics
In recent years, photocured ceramics has become one of the rapidly developing additive manufacturing technologies. Bioceramics have a promising future in tissue engineering due to their good cellular compatibility, however, a single bioceramic material is difficult to take into account both mechanical properties and biocompatibility, so the application and promotion are greatly limited. In this paper, the modification and design methods of bioceramic materials suitable for photocuring were reviewed. The comprehensive effects of material modification, surface modification, structural design and microstructural regulation on the biological properties such as bone conduction, bone induction, antibacterial, angiogenesis promotion and other biological properties as well as and basic mechanical properties of were discussed. It was pointed out that the function of photocurable bioceramics can be fully realized and its further application can be promoted through the combination of modification and regulation methods, and the realization and interaction mechanism of multifunction should be explored
