Factores determinantes de la disposición a pagar por un destino más sostenible. El caso de la Costa del Sol occidental

Different tourism policies had aim to achieve a Spanish tourism sustainable management of destinations, however, to achieve a sustainable destination must act on both the supply and demand. Costa del Sol is a prototype resort of sun and beach, initiated a restructuring process, Plan Qualifica. The empirical study allows to know the current tourist profile in these destinations, and to identify explanatory variables that influence the willingness to pay (WTP) of tourists to enjoy a more sustainable destination. Stressing that only 23.8% of respondents were willing to pay more to enjoy a destination that focuses on sustainability.Diferentes políticas turísticas españolas han pretendido lograr una gestión sostenible de los destinos, sin embargo, para la consecución de un destino sostenible debe actuarse tanto en la oferta como en la demanda. La Costa del Sol Occidental es un prototipo de destinoturístico de sol y playa que inició un proceso de reconversión a través del Plan Qualifica. El estudio empírico realizado permite conocer el perfil del turista actual en este destino, así como identificar las variables explicativas que condicionan la disposición a pagar (DAP)del turista por disfrutar de un destino más sostenible. Cabe destacar que sólo el 23,8% de los encuestados se han mostrado dispuestos a pagar una cantidad mayor por disfrutar de un destino que apuesta por la sostenibilidad en dicho destino

Al-Andalus' surgeon. An approximation to the life and work of Abulcasis by the hand of Antonio Cavanillas de Blas

Nowadays, many people still think of «science and humanities» as two separate branches, completely different when choosing a career or simply when imagining where a person´s focus of interest lies on. Nevertheless, there is an increasing effort to change this point of view and make us realize they are not opposite, but rather complementary. Humanities nurture with science´s advances and science needs humanities in order to express itself, advance and develop. Clear examples of this are the books that talk about medicine and medicine related themes. These texts promote the humanistic training of doctors and medicine students: creating a solid foundation of humanistic medicine, which ought to preside the patient- doctor relationship. In this article, we contribute to present the close relationship between literature and medicine analyzing the description Antonio Cavanillas de Blas gives us of Abulcasis in his work El Cirujano de al-AndalusActualmente, mucha gente sigue pensando en «ciencias o letras» como dos ramas separadas y completamente distintas a la hora de elegir una carrera o simplemente de hacerse una idea de los intereses de una persona. Sin embargo, cada vez hay más esfuerzos para cambiar este concepto y dar a entender que no son opuestos, sino complementarios. Las letras se nutren de los avances de las ciencias y las ciencias necesitan de las letras para expresarse, avanzar y desarrollarse. Ejemplos claros son los libros que tratan temas médicos o relacionados con la medicina, ya sea desde la óptica del paciente y su entorno o desde la mirada del médico. Estos textos contribuyen a la formación humanística del médico y de los estudiantes de medicina: a cimentar el humanismo médico que debe presidir la relación entre el enfermo y el médico. En este trabajo aportamos una lectura de la relación entre literatura y medicina mediante la narración que Antonio Cavanillas de Blas hace de Abulcasis en su obra El Cirujano de al-Aldalu

Pautas de actuación y recursos para la atención al alumnado con NEAE en aulas ordinarias.

El presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado (TFG) consiste en una revisión teórica cuyo principal objetivo es describir, desde la perspectiva de una maestra, qué respuesta educativa se aconseja dar al alumnado que presenta Necesidades Específicas de Apoyo Educativo (NEAE) escolarizado en cualquier aula ordinaria. En la primera parte del trabajo, expongo un marco teórico en el que se define la atención a la diversidad y sus principios generales. Luego, hago referencia a la clasificación de las NEAE que efectúa la Consejería de Educación del Gobierno de Canarias. La segunda parte se basa en la intervención educativa. Aludo a las medidas de atención a la diversidad, cómo se realiza la evaluación y qué acciones se sugieren para trabajar cada una de las necesidades. Igualmente, menciono qué movilización de recursos contribuye a proporcionar un tratamiento certero. Por último, tras haber estudiado lo anterior, realizo unas conclusiones en las que manifiesto mi visión sobre la realidad de las escuelas como futura docente.The present Final Degree Project (TFG) consists of a theoretical review whose main objective is to describe, from the perspective of a teacher, what educational response is recommended to be given to students who present Special Educational Needs (SEN) in any usual classroom. In the first part of the project, I present a theoretical framework in which attention to diversity and its general principles are defined. Then, I refer to the classification of SEN carried out by the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands. The second part is based on educational intervention. I refer to measures of attention to diversity, how the evaluation is carried out and what actions are suggested to work on each of the needs. Equally, I mention what resource mobilization contributes to providing an accurate treatment. Finally, after having studied the above, I make conclusions in which I express my vision of the reality of schools as a future teacher

Se presentarán algunos resultados para matrices no negativas que son de aplicación tanto en el estudio de las matrices estocásticas, como en el análisis de la convergencia de los métodos iterativos clásicos cuando se utilizan para resolver los sistemas lineales que surgen tras la discretización espacial de ecuaciones elípticas. Se presentarán algunas aplicaciones donde dichos resultados son de interés.Grado en Matemática

TOURISTS’ MEANING OF SUSTAINABILITY AS A TOOL FOR SEGMENTATION. A BIOSPHERE RESERVE CASE STUDY

This paper provides empirical evidence on the potential use of the meaning of sustainability for the tourist in segmentation studies. The analysis has been applied to a nature destination, specifically, in the “Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas” Biosphere Reserve. In the first place, this research identifies, through a cluster analysis, three segments of tourists based on what the tourist considers sustainability to be (level of knowledge and commitment, as well as its implications for the destination), analyzing for each segment their sociodemographic and socioeconomic variables and their willingness to pay to improve the sustainability of destinations. The results show that it is possible to identify one or several segments of demand that show different levels of commitment, attitude, knowledge and/or behavior towards sustainability and calculate the amount of money that each segment is willing to pay to visit a more sustainable destination. This research shows, however, that more than 70% of those surveyed are not willing to pay more to achieve a more sustainable destination, the reasons being very diverse, but, in any case, no significant differences being identified between the segments with respect to this question. The study concludes by discussing the potential of using the meaning of sustainability for the tourist as an important segmentation tool, aimed at facilitating the change towards a more sustainable tourism behavior, and allowing the design of pro-sustainable strategies and policies in tourist destinations
