Buying and selling activities through social media require product photos to promote products sold to consumers. Lack of public understanding that product photos are copyrighted works that are protected by copyright. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the form of intellectual property law protection for copyrighted online shop product photos and how to resolve disputes in the event of misuse of online shop product photo works. This research was conducted using empirical juridical methods. The empirical juridical method is to examine legal provisions and what happens in the community directly. Whereas the results of research on the form of online shop product photo protection are in the form of: legal protection in a preventive way and legal protection in a repressive way. However, legal protection to obtain legal certainty is to register the product at the ministry of law and human rights. If there is a dispute regarding intellectual property rights, settlement can be carried out through court or non-judicial

THE PERFORMANCE OF LOW COST CUTTING TOOLS WHEN MACHINING HARDENED STEEL OF 60 HRC

Hard turning is a topic of great interest in today’s industrial production and scientific research. The hard turning technology has the potential for improving productivity against grinding in the manufacturing process. Today, tool manufacturers are constantly developing new combinations of coatings and substrates to precisely match different workpiece materials and operations. Nevertheless, the suitability of coated mixed ceramic (AI2O3 + TiCN) cutting tools when hard turning AISI D2 cold work tool steel (60 HRC) is yet to be investigated. An understanding of the tool life and wear mechanisms, surface integrity produced by coated mixed ceramic cutting tools will give an alternative to the manufacturing industries to exploit low costs cutting tools in hard turning of AISI D2 (60 HRC). The noticeable trend of the tool life was observed at test conditions where the cutting speed is at 100 m/min instead of 140 m/min or 200 m/min. The wear mechanism of coated mixed ceramic cutting tools with TiN is subjected to abrasion, adhesion, chipping and notching, especially when machining at high cutting speed of 200 m/min

The Development of Wireless Power Transfer Technologies for Mobile Charging in Vehicles using Inductive Approach

    Get PDF
Nowadays, the mobile charging in vehicle is a must and therefore, such technology is now available in every vehicle through wired connection approach. Using this wired connection to power up mobile device in the vehicle might be inconvenience to the user. Thus, this project aims to develop a wireless power transfer technology to power up the mobile device in a vehicle. Through this, the users will not facing difficulty of charging their device while driving. To be specific, the Inductive Power Transfer (IPT) is applied here due to its advantages where it can transfer power wirelessly with a higher efficiency in a short range. To make this work, a Class E inverter is designed to convert a direct current (DC) supply into alternating current (AC) supply at a high frequency with a higher efficiency. Furthermore, pi-2-a impedance matching circuit is also applied in this work in order to improve the efficiency of such system. To validate the efficiency of the proposed method, analysis on the gap distance between the two magnetic coils, transmitter and receiver, are performed through simulation and experimental work. At the end of this work, the designed prototype is able to yield approximately 70 % in terms of output efficiency and able to power up the mobile device wirelessly

Properties of Cement Brick Containing Expanded Polystyrene Beads (EPS) And Palm Oil Fuel Ash (POFA)

This paper assesses the mechanical properties of cement brick containing Expanded Polystyrene Beads (EPS) and Palm Oil Fuel Ash (POFA) as partial replacement of sand and Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC). The aim of this research are to determine the mechanical properties of brick containing EPS and POFA as partial replacement of sand and OPC. The dosage for EPS replacement is 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% EPS whereas 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% of POFA replacement. The mechanical properties of the bricks are density, compressive strength and water absorption. The bricks with 30%, 40% and 50% EPS replacement have density below 1680 kg/m3 which considered as lightweight brick. The brick with 50% EPS replacement recorded lowest density which is 1328 kg/m3 while 1629 kg/m3 for the brick with  25% POFA replacement at 56-days of curing. The water absorption testing for these brick are between 7.20%-18.19%. Brick with 0% POFA and 50% EPS replacement has the lowest water absorption properties whereas brick with 25% POFA and 0% EPS replacement has the highest water absorption properties

Cleaner Production Implementation using Extended Value Stream Mapping for Enhancing the Sustainability of Lean Manufacturing

This paper investigated the measures by Cleaner Production (CP) embedded in the modified VSM technique, i.e., Cleaner Production VSM (CPVSM) to be an effective visualisation technique for Lean and promoted the sustainability at 2 local Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) for demonstrating the level to which the CPVSM process can be applied. Our findings showed that the implementation of the CP technique was improved through this CPVSM approach and thus promoted the Lean Manufacturing (LM) sustainability
