    PENERAPAN METODE DIALOG DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN SEJARAH KEBUDAYAAN ISLAM KELAS XI MAN 2 MUARO JAMBI

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan metode dialog dapat meningkatkan kemampuan Mengingat Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam pada siswa kelas XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Muaro Jambi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI Agama 1 Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Muaro Jambi. yang berjumlah 22 siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus. Dalam pelaksanaan penelitian, peneliti berkolaborasi dengan guru mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi,wawancara, tes dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : 1) Penerapan Metode dialog Dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam Kelas XI Agama 1 MAN 2 Muaro Jambi berjalan baik dan sesuai dengan tahapan pelaksanaan yang direncanakan; 2) Kemampuan Mengingat Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam Kelas XI Agama 1 Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Muaro Jambi mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini terlihat dari persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa dengan persentase pada pra siklus sebesar 45,4%, pada siklus I sebesar 63,6%, dan pada siklus II sebesar 86,3%. Dengan demikian penggunaan metode dialog dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengingat Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam Pada Kelas XI Agama 1 Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Muaro Jambi

    The English City Riots of 2011, "Broken Britain" and the retreat into the present

    The responses to the English city riots of 2011 bear a remarkable resemblance to those of historical urban disorders in terms of the way in which they are framed by concerns over "moral decline", "social malaise" and a "lack of self-restraint" among certain sections of the population. In this paper we draw on the work of Norbert Elias and take a long-term perspective in exploring historical precedents and parallels relating to urban disorder and anti-social behaviour. We reject the notion of "Broken Britain" and argue that a more "detached" perspective is necessary in order to appreciate that perceived crises of civilisation are ubiquitous to the urban condition. Through this historical analysis, framed by Elias' theory of involvement and detachment, we present three key arguments. Firstly, that a 'retreat into the present' is evident among both policy discourse and social science in responding to contemporary urban disorder, giving rise to ahistorical accounts and the romanticisation of previous eras; secondly, that particular moral panics have always arisen, specifically focused upon young and working class populations and urban disorder; and, thirdly, that previous techniques of governance to control these populations were often far more similar to contemporary mechanisms than many commentaries suggest. We conclude by advocating a long-term, detached perspective in discerning historical precedents and their direct linkages to the present; and in identifying what is particular about today's concerns and responses relating to urban disorder

    Skripsi ini membahas tentang upaya orang tua dalam mendidik akhlak anak di kelurahan mampun Kecamatan Tahir Kabupaten Merangin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberi sumbangan pemikiran terhadap para orang tua kususnya di kelurahan mampun Rt 09. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, sedangkan pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, metode wawancara, dan metode dokumentasi dengan menggunakan sumber data primer dan data sekunder. Penentuan subjek penelitian dilakaukan dengan purposive sampling. Teknik nanlisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan reduksi data, penyaJian data, verifikasi atau penarikan kesimpulan. Pengecekan UJ I keterpercayaan data dilakukan melalui perpanjang ke ikut sertaan, ketekunan pengamatan dan trianggulasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa upaya orang tua dalam memdidik akhlak anak tidak berjalan efeketip dan semestinya dimana masih banyak di temukan orang tua yang kurang memeberikan bimbingan terutama tentang akhlak ha] ini di karenakan kesibukan mereka dalam bekerja.     On the way to self-employment: the dynamics of career mobility

    This qualitative study offers empirically-based explanations of the dynamics of career mobility trajectories to self-employment, a popular phenomenon in real life but less so in the literature. Embedded in the career ecosystem of an emerging-economy country, we investigate the mobility dynamics of people in different stages of their self-employment career. We conducted in-depth interviews with 35 individuals who opted for entrepreneurship or self-employed careers, and deploy the interpretive phenomenology to explore the dynamics of career mobility of self-employment. The results demonstrate different patterns of mobility between self- and paid employment during individualsā€™ career sequences. The different push and pull forces that influence mobility are identified and explained. The study advances the theories of career and entrepreneurship literature by not only illustrating the mobility dynamics of self-employment as a stage of oneā€™s career but by also exploring the dynamic mechanisms of the mobility, drawing on the career ecosystem framework

    Improving Students' Speaking Skill by Using Storytelling Technique at the Eleventh Grade Student of SMA Tut Wuri Handayani Makassar

    The aim of this study was to improving the students' speaking skills by using storytelling technique at the eleventh grade student of SMA Tut Wuri Handayani Makassar that consist of 2 students. This research was classroom action research which was implemented in two cycle such as cycle 1 and cycle 2. On each cycle, there were four meetings consist of planning, action, observation and reflecting. The collecting data method used quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative is the main data while qualitative is supporting data. Quantitative data consisted of speaking tests while qualitative data consisted of observation checklist, interviews, field notes, and documentation. The result showed that the using of storytelling technique can improve the students' speaking skill. This could be proven through the average score of students in class XI. In cycle 1 was 72,76% while in cycle 2 was 82,36%. The result of percentage of completeness criteria also increased. In cycle 1, there were 14 students (56%)while in cycle 2 there were 25 students (100%). It showed that the use of storytelling technique could improve the students' speaking skills
