As an Indonesian Chinese language learners, in my own and others learners’ learning Chinese language process, I found that Indonesian learners has common mispronunciation in pronouncing j, q, x, z, c, s and zh, ch, sh. In this paper, writer will design a survey papers to survey intermediate and advanced Indonesian students j, q, x, z, c, s and zh, ch, sh mispronunciation problem, with detailed statistics and analysis of the survey data, hope that this paper able to find out Indonesian learners mispronunciation problem and find out some pronunciation teaching strategies for teaching Indonesian learners

    ANALYSIS OF THE GENERIC STRUCTURE POTENTIAL (GSP) AND WILLINGNESS TO USE CHINESE WEDDING INVITATION IN THREE REGIONS IN INDONESIA

    In Chinese wedding invitations, there is in-depth knowledge, both in terms of writing structure, language use, etc. It is very difficult to understand, so that its function as an intermediary to invite the invited guests cannot be achieved optimally. Therefore, it is very important for invitees and invited guests to understand the content of Chinese wedding invitations. This study mainly discusses the Generic Structure Potential (GSP) of wedding invitations from three regions in Indonesia and the condition of the willingness of ethnic Chinese in these three regions to use Chinese wedding invitations. The results of the analysis stated, in general, Chinese wedding invitations in three regions of Indonesia have the same mandatory and optional elements. The mandatory elements contained in Chinese wedding invitations are related to information about wedding receptions, but due to differences in wedding customs in each region, the elements mandatory can also change; while the existence of the element of choice is influenced by religion, eating habits, and western cultural influences. In addition, the survey states that the Chinese ethnicity using Mandarin wedding invitations is decreasing, the percentage of people that are willing to use Mandarin wedding invitations is the highest for the Singkawang Chinese, while the lowest is the Jakarta Chinese

    In international business exchanges, in order to enhance the cooperative relationship between the two sides, businessmen often give gifts to each other. This act of giving and receiving has thus become an important diplomatic protocol. The subjects of this study are Chinese businessmen and Indonesian businessmen. As we all know, China is Indonesia's largest trading partner. Therefore, the author decided to conduct a comparative study on the current situation and understanding of business gift giving and receiving etiquette between Chinese and Indonesian businessmen. The research type of this study is quantitative research. Through the questionnaire method, the author hopes to know the current situation of Chinese and Indonesian businessmen on business gift giving and receiving etiquette, the understanding level of Chinese businessmen on Indonesian business gift giving and receiving etiquette, and the understanding level of Indonesian businessmen on Chinese business gift giving and receiving etiquette. The research results show that there are similarities and differences between Chinese and Indonesian businessmen on the current situation of business gift-giving and gift-receiving etiquette. The similarity lies in the views on the role, importance and gift receiving etiquette of business gift giving, while the difference lies in the views on the principles, skills and gift taste of business gift giving. As for the degree of understanding, it can be concluded from the analysis results that in terms of average values, the SPSS average values achieved by Chinese businessmen (84.46%) are higher than those of Indonesian businessmen (82.67%). In terms of rank, Indonesian businessmen’s understanding of Chinese business gift-giving and receiving etiquette (86.7%) is higher than Chinese businessmen’s understanding of Indonesian business gift-giving and receiving etiquette (80% )

    COMPARISON OF CHINESE TEXTBOOK “BASIC CHINESE VOLUME 1” AND “MEIHUA VOLUME 1”

    The growth of the Chinese economy and society continues to make Chinese language become a very important language in the world. In Indonesia, more school, cram schools and universities offer Mandarin language course, and more Indonesian students are learning Mandarin. Teaching materials and the quality of teaching materials are an important part of teaching Mandarin as a second language. The quality of teaching materials influences the success or failure rate of second language teaching. The object of this research is the Chinese textbook "Basic Chinese" volume 1 and "Meihua" volume 1 which are widely used at the elementary school level in Indonesia. The research focuses on the weak and strength points of these two Chinese textbooks, from writing, structure, vocabulary, grammar, and practice aspect, and also provide some suggestion for improving Chinese textbook in Indonesian elementary schools. The results show volume 1 of "Meihua" is better in terms of vocabulary, while volume 1 of "Basic Mandarin" is better in terms of grammatical explanations. "Basic Chinese" volume 1 has more words outside the context of the elementary school level, "Meihua" volume 1 has more of Chinese characters writing and repetitions

    ANALYSIS OF THE CORRELATION BETWEEN WILLINGNESS TO COMMUNICATE IN CHINESE LANGUAGE AND LEARNING MOTIVATION

    No matter in class or out of class, cultivating learners' willingness to communicate in Chinese plays a great role. The level of learners' willingness to communicate in Chinese is more or less affected by learning motivation. The research belongs to quantitative research, we conducted surveys by using questionnaires. The research shows the learning motivation of the students in grades one to four belongs to the middle level, the type of learning motivation is mainly instrumental motivation; the willingness to communicate in Chinese in and out of class of the learners is at the middle level, and the willingness to communicate in class is higher than that outside class; the willingness of learners to communicate in and out of class in Chinese is significantly positively correlated with their learning motivation, but the correlation is not high; the motivation type with the highest correlation and significant correlation with the willingness to communicate in Chinese in and out of class is mastery goal orientation, while the lowest correlation and no significant correlation with the willingness to communicate in Chinese in and out of class is extrinsic motivation

    Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan merupakan pendidikan menengah yang mempersiapkan peserta didik terutama untuk bekerja dalam dunia industri. Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan oleh peneliti mata pelajaran spa dan perawatan badan di SMKN 3 Blitar media pembelajaran belum memadai. Salah satu faktor penunjang keberhasilan KBM yaitu media pembelajaran yang memadai.         Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar siswa, dan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran yang menerapkan penggunaan video sebagai media pembelajaran dalam kompetensi dasar teknik pemijatan spa treatment di SMKN 3 Blitar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre-experiment dengan desain penelitian “One group pretest-posttest design”. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI Kecantikan Rambut 1 SMKN 3 Blitar sebanyak 30 siswa. Sebelum perlakuan, sampel diberi pre test dan di akhir pembelajaran sampel diberi post test untuk mendapatkan hasil belajar. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi untuk aktivitas guru dan aktivitas siswa.  Hasil belajar siswa menggunakan tes. Respon siswa menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data terhadap aktivitas guru dalam pembelajaran menggunakan mean. Aktivitas siswa menggunakan persentase (%). Analisis hasil belajar siswa menggunakan  uji t (t-test). Angket respon siswa menggunakan persentase (%). Hasil penelitian aktivitas guru dalam pembelajaran diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 3,8. Untuk persentase aktivitas siswa dalam kompetensi teknik pemijatan mengalami peningkatan. Ketuntasan hasil belajar klasikal mengalami peningkatan, pre-test 73% menjadi 100% post-test. Respon siswa yang banyak muncul adalah penyajian soal latihan membantu mengasah kemampuan dalam menentukan perlakuan sebanyak 100% dan ketertarikan untuk membuka atau belajar halaman materi selanjutnya yang disajikan lebih dalam membuka media pembelajaran pertama kali sebesar 100%. Hasil perhitungan uji t (t-test) diperoleh P < α = hipotesis diterima, 0,000 < 0,05 = Ha diterima. Kesimpulannya terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar pada penerapan video sebagai media pembelajaran kompetensi dasar teknik pemijatan spa treatment (back massage) di SMKN 3 Blitar Kata Kunci : Media Pembelajaran, Video, Perawatan Badan, Back Massage     Abstract Vocational High School is a secondary education that prepares students to work primarily in the industrial world. Media video will show the sequence of motion massage back massage techniques that students are expected to understand and to improve competence. This study aims to determine the activity of the teacher, student activity, student learning outcomes, and the students' response to learning that implement the use of video as a medium of learning in basic competence in the treatment spa massage techniques SMKN 3 Blitar. Type of research is a pre-experiment with the design of the study "One group pretest-posttest design". The subjects of this study were students of class XI Beauty Hair 1 SMKN 3 Blitar many as 30 students. Before treatment, the samples are given at the end of the pre-test and post-test were given a sample lesson for learning outcomes. Data collection techniques using observation sheets for all teachers and student activities. Student learning outcomes using test. Student responses using a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques for the teacher in the learning activities using the mean. Student activity using the percentage (%). Analysis of student learning outcomes using t-test (t-test). Questionnaire responses of students using the percentage (%). The results in the learning activities of teachers gained an average of 3.8. For the percentage of student activity within the competence of massage techniques to increase. Classical mastery of learning outcomes has increased, pre-test 73% to 100% post-test.     ANALYSIS OF QUESTIONING METHOD USED BY LECTURER IN TEACHING CHINESE COMPREHENSIVE SUBJECT IN BUNDA MULIA UNIVERSITY

    In the Chinese class, one of the indispensable factors in the interaction between teachers and students is asking questions. Whether it is questions from teachers and students or questions between students, they are of great help to students in their Chinese learning process. This research is a mixed method research, mainly through classroom observation, interviews and questionnaires to collect data. We observed the comprehensive courses of 7 classes in the Chinese Department of Bunda Mulia University. We found most of the teachers’ questions in the classroom are about the content of the text and exercises; when asking questions, most teachers let student answer question willingly; when there are no students to answer the questions, the teachers chose student by roll call to answer question, and students who answer questions are also selected based on the difficulty of the questions; most of the questions asked by teachers are application questions, comprehension questions and information questions; when confirming students' proficiency in language point applications, teachers generally use application questions to ask questions; teachers generally use comprehension questions when confirming students' understanding of text content; informative questions are generally used by teachers to confirm a student's understanding of a text's information
