Long Term Evolution - Advanced (LTE-A) is a 4G wireless broadband technology based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). It provides improved system capacity and coverage, high peak data rate and low latency. OFDM technology is used to reduce the Intersymbol Interference (ISI), however it increases the effect of Intercell Interference (ICI) due to single frequency used. The high ICI will give affect to the perfomance of users at the cell edge and cell centre. To avoid the ICI, the ICI management is required. In this paper, the ICI management is described. There are three schemes are analyzed such as Frequency Reuse 1 (FR1), Fractional Frequency Reuse (FFR), Soft Frequency Reuse (SFR). From the simulation results, the best results are provided by SFR. It gives CINR of 21,14 dB, and 40.547,67 kbps of throughpu

Soekarno-Hatta Intl Airport had become busier every and each year passed. Based on Airnav’s data in 2016, there was about 1.200 aircraft movement, included take-off and landing, happened in Soekarno-Hatta Intl Airport in one day. These numerous movements made Soekarno-Hatta Intl Airport became the 12th busiest airport in the world based on Airport Council International (ACI). The long queue of the aircraft at the taxiway is deniable and became one of the problems that needs to be resolved. This research would make aircrafts movement simulation in Soekarno-Hatta Intl Airport’s taxiway(s) using Rockwell Arena Simulation software. The simulation results would be total taxiing time of an aircraft, which intersection(s) that traffic happened, and the total of aircraft(s) that doing taxi in and taxi out. This simulation would help to determine and evaluate the factors that initiated the queue in the taxiway and modify taxiing route to reduce the traffic. The results of this research can be applied by the airport as a reference for scheduling aircraft’s departing or arriving, develop airport airside facility, and to improve taxiing route so the duration of aircraft’s taxiing time can be reduce

Nitrosodimethylamine is a carcinogenic compound which can be formed from the reaction of nitrite and dimethylamine that is found in food. Nitrosodimethylamineis activated in liver and alkylates the DNA base and producing a DNA adductssuch as O6-methylguanine and N7-methylguanine that have a role incarcinogenesis. In this research, DNA was isolated from rat’s blood which waspreviously given nitrosodimethylamine’s precursor, sodium nitrite anddimethylamine. DNA adducts can be obtained from hydrolysis in hydrochloricacid 0.1 N for 30 minutes at 7000C. Then the adducts were analyzed using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), with a strong cation exchangecolumn (Supelcosil LC-SCX, 5 μm, 250 x 4.6 mm), mobile phase consisting ofammonium phosphate with a final concentration of 40 mM, pH 3.00, flow rate 1.5mL/minute, column temperature 30oC and detected at exitation wavelength 286 nm and emission wavelength 366 nm. This method gave an acceptable validation result according to accuracy and precicion test results that fulfill the requirementand linear calibration curve with a quantitation limit of 22,5403 ng/mL. Rats were divided into six groups that two groups were given nitrosodimethylamine aspositive control, three groups were given prekursor, and the other was normalcontrol.Blood samples were collected in 1,2 and 4 hour after last induced. Aftergiving sodium nitrite 110 mg/kg bw and dimethylamine (1:5) orally for a week,N7-methylguanine and O6-methylguanine had not been detected in rat’s blood

Previous studies have not been able to show with certainty the effect of vitamin D supplementation in tuberculosis patients. The objective of this study is to determine whether vitamin D supplementation to patients with tuberculosis could influence 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) and calcium serum levels. The results, after 28 days, the vitamin D supplementation showed significant increase of 25(OH)D serum level at the end point (p=0.001), but not for the calcium serum level (p=0.3). The Conclusions is supplementation with 1,000 IU vitamin D per day increased the 25(OH)D serum level but there was no association with the calcium serum level

Scaffold is a 3-dimensional matrix created as a new bone cell growth medium made from natural polymers and bioceramics. The extracted pectin from green Cincau leaves (Premna oblongifolia Merr) and hydroxyapatite (HA) are used in the manufacture of scaffolds. Pectin was extracted using citric acid with variation concentration of 0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3% (w / v). The 3% (w / w) HA-pectin mixture, dried freeze using a freeze dryer. The characterization of extracted pectin and HA-pectin scaffold was then performed. The results showed that pectin of green Cincau leaves had low methoxyl content, which was 1.364 to 5.022%. The resulting scaffold has a pore size ranging from 8.25 to 115 µm while the scaffold resistance to the load, i.e. 0.03 to 0.15 MPa. The scaffold porosity that has been made is 15.33 to 40.97% while the density is 0.69 to 1.02 g/cm
