Parents need to be closer to their children, especially when they are in early years. The process of the approach can be done in some creative way, one example is drawing together with children. But apparently many parents claim that they cannot draw. Indeed, parents do not need to be able to draw perfectly, but it will be more valuable if parents can draw properly, because it can make the interaction process between parents and children become more meaningful and memorable for both. For this reason, efforts have been made to provide basic insights and practical drawing techniques for parents. Actually, there are already many materials how to draw for children and adolescents, therefore this practical drawing tech-niques are packaged in the form of a book are intended specifically for parents, especially in Indonesia. The drawing method used in this book is observation and imitation of images. Nonlinear optics in Xe-filled hollow-core PCF in high pressure and supercritical regimes

Supercritical Xe at 293 K offers a Kerr nonlinearity that can exceed that of fused silica while being free of Raman scattering. It also has a much higher optical damage threshold and a transparency window that extends from the UV to the infrared. We report the observation of nonlinear phenomena, such as self-phase modulation, in hollow-core photonic crystal fiber filled with supercritical Xe. In the subcritical regime, intermodal four-wave-mixing resulted in the generation of UV light in the HE12 mode. The normal dispersion of the fiber at high pressures means that spectral broadening can clearly obtained without influence from soliton effects or material damage

Sikap terhadap Sains Siswa dalam Pembelajaran IPA Fisika melalui Penerapan Strategi Index Card Match pada Materi Kalor di Kelas VII 4 SMPN 20 Pekanbaru

The aim of this research was to determine the creasing of students\u27 attitudes toward science Physics in class VII4 SMPN 20 Pekanbaru by implementing in learning Index Card Match strategy in heat subject. The research subjects were students of class VII4 totalling 39 people consisting of 15 male students and 24 female students. Data collection instruments in this research a question of students attitudes towards science consisting of 24 items. Analysis of the data in this research is descriptive analysis to see changes in students attitudes toward science and use the gain. From the analysis of the data showed an increase in students attitudes towards science has increased by an average of 0.31. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of physics learning using the Index Card Match strategy can improve students\u27s attitudes toward science in class VII4 SMP 20 Pekanbaru

The Expression of microRNA and microRNA Clusters in the Aging Heart

Background: The microRNAs have been implicated in the process of cardiac development, cardiac hypertrophy, and heart failure. However, the impact of adult aging on cardiac expression of miRNA clusters, as well as both miRNA guide (miR) and passenger (miR*) strands has not been well established. Methods/Results: We explored the expression profile of both miR and miR * in the hearts of young adult versus old mice. We found that 65 miRNAs were differentially expressed in the old versus young adult hearts; approximately half of them were clustered miRNAs that were distributed in 11 miRNA clusters. Each miRNA cluster contained from 2 to as many as 71 miRNA genes. The majority of the clusters displayed similar expression, with most cluster members within a cluster being either increased or decreased together, suggesting that most clusters are likely to be regulated by a common signaling mechanism and that the combined expression of multiple miRNA genes in a cluster could pose an impact on a broad range of targets during aging. We also found age-related changes in the expression of miR*s. The expression of both miR and miR* correlated with that of pri-miRNA transcript over the time course from development and maturation through adult aging. Age-related changes in the expression of Ago1 and Ago2 proteins in the heart were also observed. Thus this research tries to pour out some ideas about how to instill the values of character education through religious activities. The results showed that (1). the efforts of the Head of Madrasah and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teachers have reached very high abilities, In terms of the process of creating students to achieve good character values, it is very optimal and has changes that are starting to be seen from students, educators, parents and the surrounding community, (2) the obstacles faced in the process of inculcating the values of character education through religious activities at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Hidayatul Mubtadiin Tasikmadu, namely the negligence of students to bring juz 'ammah or Al-Qur'an, students who are difficult to condition, and parents' lack of awareness of the importance of assistance in child development. As for the supporting factors, namely Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Hidayatul Mubtadiin Tasikmadu Malang City has several facilities that are sufficient to support the planned process effort, The Madrasah is located right in the heart of the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School, the residents of the Madrasah are very helpful in supervising students, (3) based on the efforts to instill values and character that are practiced at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Hidayatul Mubtadiin Tasikmadu Malang City, it forms a good character for students, religious activities in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Hidayatul Mutbadiin Tasikmadu Malang City which are formed from these efforts are. 5S (Smile, Greetings, Greetings, Polite, Polite), pray together, pray dhuha and dhuhur prayer in congregation, muraja'ah memorization, and Hajj rituals.
