A Kind of Change Management Method for Global Value Chain Optimization and Its Case Study
Any successful change in an organization requires an appropriate change management method and a process for involved staff and department to accept the change and become engaged in order to achieve its success. It is even more important and difficult to adopt a novel change management method to bring multiple organizations across the business value chain into the change implementation. This research does not focused on change management within a single organization but rather emphasizes a change management method, including an appropriate change framework, well-defined critical success factors (CSFs), and related tools for implementing change in multiple organizations. This article introduces one kind of change management method to support a process change through global value chain (GVC) in multiple organizations, and the method is used in a case study to achieve a successful change. In order to succeed in optimizing GVC performance, this research applies the proposed change management method to the case GVC, to support technical change by obtaining the staff's full commitment and engagement. The achieved results from the case study prove that successful change comes not only through technical solutions implemented in the problem process throughout the GVC but also through strong support and engagement from all organizations and involved staff. The proposed change management method not only helped the case GVC to implement change successfully but also can help the relevant multiple organizations to improve the GVC performance and add value by optimizing their problem process.©2021 IEEE. The Design and Life Test of a Multifunction Power Amplifier for Space Application
A new multifunction power amplifier (MFPA) is designed and fabricated for the application of point-to-point K-Band backhaul TR module. A DC temperature life test was performed to model the up-limit temperature effect of the designed MFPA under space application. After 240 hours of 100°C life test, the test results illustrate that the designed MFPA has only slight power degradation at the saturation region without change of the linear gain. The general performance of the designed MFPA satisfies the requirement of the application scenario
Heuristic algorithm for the container loading problem with multiple constraints
This paper addresses the container loading problem with multiple constraints that occur at many manufacturing sites, such as furniture factories, appliances factories, and kitchenware factories. These factories receive daily orders with expiration dates, and each order consists of one or more items. On a particular day, certain orders expire, and the expiring orders must be handled (shipped) prior to the non-expiring ones. All of the items in an order must be placed in one container, and the volume of the container should be maximally utilized. A heuristic algorithm is proposed to standardize the packing of (order) items into a container. The algorithm chooses the expiring orders first before handling the non-expiring orders. In both steps, the algorithm first selects a collection of orders by considering a simulated annealing strategy and subsequently packs the collection of orders into the container via a tree graph search procedure. The validity of the algorithm is examined through experimental results using BR instances. (C) 2017 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.</p
Explore the shared molecular mechanism between dermatomyositis and nasopharyngeal cancer by bioinformatic analysis.
BackgroundDermatomyositis (DM) is prone to nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), but the mechanism is unclear. This study aimed to explore the potential pathogenesis of DM and NPC.MethodsThe datasets GSE46239, GSE142807, GSE12452, and GSE53819 were downloaded from the GEO dataset. The disease co-expression module was obtained by R-package WGCNA. We built PPI networks for the key modules. ClueGO was used to analyze functional enrichment for the key modules. DEG analysis was performed with the R-package "limma". R-package "pROC" was applied to assess the diagnostic performance of hub genes. MiRNA-mRNA networks were constructed using MiRTarBase and miRWalk databases.ResultsThe key modules that positively correlated with NPC and DM were found. Its intersecting genes were enriched in the negative regulation of viral gene replication pathway. Similarly, overlapping down-regulated DEGs in DM and NPC were also enriched in negatively regulated viral gene replication. Finally, we identified 10 hub genes that primarily regulate viral biological processes and type I interferon responses. Four key genes (GBP1, IFIH1, IFIT3, BST2) showed strong diagnostic performance, with AUC>0.8. In both DM and NPC, the expression of key genes was correlated with macrophage infiltration level. Based on hub genes' miRNA-mRNA network, hsa-miR-146a plays a vital role in DM-associated NPC.ConclusionsOur research discovered pivot genes between DM and NPC. Viral gene replication and response to type I interferon may be the crucial bridge between DM and NPC. By regulating hub genes, MiR-146a will provide new strategies for diagnosis and treatment in DM complicated by NPC patients. For individuals with persistent viral replication in DM, screening for nasopharyngeal cancer is necessary
From mind to products
After reviewing the development of industrial manufacturing, a novel concept called social manufacturing (SM) and service are proposed as an innovative manufacturing solution for the coming personalized customization era. SM can realize a customer's requirements of C from mind to products-D, and fulfill tangible and intangible needs of a prosumer, i.e., producer and consumer at the same time. It represents a manufacturing trend, and is expected to become popular in more and more industries. First, a comparison between mass customization and SM is given out, and the basis and motivation from social network to SM is analyzed. Then, its basic theories and supporting technologies, like Internet of Things-C IoT-C, social networks, cloud computing, 3D printing, and intelligent systems, are introduced and analyzed, and an SM platform prototype is developed. Finally, three transformation modes towards SM and 3D printing are suggested for different user cases.Peer reviewe
The 3D point clouds registration for human foot
Abstract
For personalized design it is important to be able to collect, measure and evaluate individual properties of human beings. This paper proposes registration for the point clouds during foot 3D scanning. In the experiment, we get the point clouds of the human foot from the Artec 3D scanner and complete the registration of the point clouds from different visual angles. Dealing with the customized footwear, we choose a novel algorithm, which combines the NARF key point detector and the FPFH descriptor, to improve the efficiency of the initial iteration and reduce the computation burden of matching process
