Speed of Vertex reinforced jump process on Galton-Watson trees
International audienceWe give an alternative proof of the fact that the vertex reinforced jump process on Galton-Watson tree has a phase transition between recurrence and transience as a function of c, the initial local time, see [3]. Further, applying techniques in [1], we show a phase transition between positive speed and null speed for the associated discrete time process in the transient regime
A Demand-Supply Cooperative Responding Strategy in Power System with High Renewable Energy Penetration
Industrial demand response (IDR) plays an important role in promoting the
utilization of renewable energy (RE) in power systems. However, it will lead to
power adjustments on the supply side, which is also a non-negligible factor in
affecting RE utilization. To comprehensively analyze this impact while
enhancing RE utilization, this paper proposes a power demand-supply cooperative
response (PDSCR) strategy based on both day-ahead and intraday time scales. The
day-ahead PDSCR determines a long-term scheme for responding to the predictable
trends in RE supply. However, this long-term scheme may not be suitable when
uncertain RE fluctuations occur on an intraday basis. Regarding intraday PDSCR,
we formulate a profit-driven cooperation approach to address the issue of RE
fluctuations. In this context, unreasonable profit distributions on the
demand-supply side would lead to the conflict of interests and diminish the
effectiveness of cooperative responses. To mitigate this issue, we derive
multi-individual profit distribution marginal solutions (MIPDMSs) based on
satisfactory profit distributions, which can also maximize cooperative profits.
Case studies are conducted on an modified IEEE 24-bus system and an actual
power system in China. The results verify the effectiveness of the proposed
strategy for enhancing RE utilization, via optimizing the coordination of IDR
flexibility with generation resources.Comment: Accepted by IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technolog
Heterogeneous group decision making with thermodynamical parameters
There often exist different types of information due to the subjective
and objective criteria in practical decision-making problems,
thus it is necessary to develop some efficient frameworks to
deal with the decision-making problems with heterogeneous
information. The paper proposes a framework for group decisionmaking
problems with heterogeneous information with thermodynamical
parameters consisting of three parts to achieving this
goal. The first part builds the rectifications of criteria weights
according to decision makers’ confidence in evaluations. The
second part adopts thermodynamical parameters to measure the
numerical values and the data distribution of heterogeneous
information to characterize the heterogeneous information fully.
The last part applies the TODIM (an acronym in Portuguese for
Interactive and Multicriteria Decision Making) to aggregate the
decision-making results based on the characterized heterogeneous
information without transforming it into a unified form. By
depicting decision makers’ different sensitive attitudes towards
uncertainty by several mathematical expressions, experiments are
performed to assess the sensitive attitudes’ impacts on decisionmaking
results with the proposed framework. Finally, a case study
on the selection of a green supplier under the low-carbon economy
is provided to illustrate the flexibility and feasibility of the
proposed framework

Gp91phox (NOX2) in Activated Microglia Exacerbates Neuronal Damage Induced by Oxygen Glucose Deprivation and Hyperglycemia in an in Vitro Model
Background/Aims: Peri-operative cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury is one of the most serious peri-operative complications that can be aggravated in patients with diabetes. A previous study showed that microglia NOX2 (a NADPH oxidase enzyme) may play an important role in this process. Here, we investigated whether increased microglial derived gp91phox, also known as NOX2, reduced oxygen glucose deprivation (OGD) after induction of hyperglycemia (HG). Methods: A rat neuronal-microglial in vitro co-culture model was used to determine the effects of gp91phox knockdown on OGD after HG using six treatment groups: A rat microglia and neuron co-culture model was established and divided into the following six groups: high glucose + scrambled siRNA transfection (HG, n = 5); HG + gp91phoxsiRNA transfection (HG-gp91siRNA, n = 5); oxygen glucose deprivation + scrambled siRNA transfection (OGD, n = 5); OGD + gp91phoxsiRNA transfection (OGD-gp91siRNA, n = 5); HG + OGD + scrambled siRNA transfection (HG-OGD, n = 5); and HG + OGD + gp91phoxsiRNA transfection (HG-OGD-gp91siRNA, n = 5). The neuronal survival rate was measured by the MTT assay, while western blotting was used to determine gp91phox expression. Microglial derived ROS and neuronal apoptosis rates were analyzed by flow cytometry. Finally, the secretion of cytokines, including IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, and 8-iso-PGF2α was determined using an ELISA kit. Results: Neuronal survival rates were significantly decreased by HG and OGD, while knockdown of gp91phox reversed these rates. ROS production and cytokine secretion were also significantly increased by HG and OGD but were significantly inhibited by knockdown of gp91phoxsiRNA. Conclusion: Knockdown of gp91phoxsiRNA significantly reduced oxidative stress and the inflammatory response, and alleviated neuronal damage after HG and OGD treatment in a rat neuronal-microglial co-culture model

Effectiveness of interventions for people living with dementia and their carers in Chinese communities: protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials
Introduction As the largest and most rapidly ageing population, Chinese people are now the major driver of the continued growth in dementia prevalence globally. The need for evidence-based interventions in Chinese communities is urgent. Although a wide range of pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions for dementia have been trialled in Chinese populations, the evidence has not been systematically synthesised. This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to map out the interventions for people living with dementia and their carers in Chinese communities worldwide and compare the effectiveness of these interventions. Methods and analysis This protocol followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocols checklist. We will search Chinese (China National Knowledge Infrastructure, WanFang DATA) and English bibliographical databases (MEDLINE, EMBASE, PsycINFO, CINAHL Plus, Global Health, WHO Global Index Medicus, Virtual Health Library, Cochrane CENTRAL, Social Care Online, BASE, MODelling Outcome and cost impacts of interventions for DEMentia (MODEM) Toolkit, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews), complemented by hand searching of reference lists. We will include studies evaluating the effectiveness of interventions for dementia or mild cognitive impairment in Chinese populations, using a randomised controlled trial design, and published between January 2008 and June 2020. We will use a standardised form to extract data and Version 2 of the Cochrane risk-of-bias tool for randomised trials to assess the risk of bias of the included studies. Collected data will be fully interpreted with narrative synthesis and analysed using pairwise and network meta-analyses to pool intervention effects where sufficient information is available. We will perform subgroup analysis and meta-regression to explore potential reasons for heterogeneity. Ethics and dissemination No formal ethics approval is required for this protocol. The findings will facilitate the development of studies on interventions for dementia and timely inform dementia policymaking and practice. Planned dissemination channels include peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, public events and websites. PROSPERO registration number CRD42019134135
Highly efficient and stable p-type ZnO nanowires with piezotronic effect for photoelectrochemical water splitting
Unremitting efforts have been made to develop high-performance photoelectrochemical (PEC) water-splitting system to produce clean hydrogen fuel using sunlight. In this work, a novel way, combining highly-ordered nanowires (NWs) structure and piezotronic effect of p-type ZnO has been demonstrated to dramatically enhance PEC hydrogen evolution performance. Systematic characterizations indicate that the Sb atoms uniformly dope into ZnO NWs and substitute Zn sites with the introduction of two zinc vacancies to form the shallow acceptor SbZn–2VZn complex. Detailed synchrotron-based X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) experiments in O K-edge and Zn L-edge further confirm the formation of the complex, and theoretical calculation verifies the Sb5+ state dominating the complex. The optimal photocurrent density of the 0.2Sb/ZnO-anneal NWs can reach −0.85 mA/cm2 (0 VRHE) which is 17.2 times larger than that of the n-ZnO NWs under sunlight illumination (100 mW/cm2). Furthermore, the piezotronic effect can be introduced to regulate the charge separation and transfer in the ZnO NWs through modulating the band structure near the interface. The photocurrent density can further increase to −1.08 mA/cm2 (0 VRHE) under a 0.6% tensile strain, which is 27.4% enhancement with respect to the ZnO sample without strain. These results provide an efficient way to design and develop high-performance photoelectrodes toward PEC hydrogen evolution
Visualization and Analysis of Tea Beverage Research Based on CiteSpace
To obtain a more comprehensive understanding of the hotspots and research progress of tea beverage at home and abroad, this research paper analyzed the annual publication volume, author co-occurrences, co-citations, research institutions, the number of country publications, journals, and research hotspots of 1247 English literature collected by WOS from 2002 to 2022 using the Web of Science core collection database as the data source and the visual data analysis software CiteSpace v 6.1.6R. The results of the analysis showed that the heat for research on tea beverage at home and abroad continued to rise, and the annual number of publications showed a rising trend year by year. The number of core authors with more than four articles was 584, accounting for 82.4% of the total number of authors. The majority of institutional publications came from Chinese universities, of which the first institution with the highest number of publications was Anhui Agricultural University. The People's Republic of China was the most actively published country, followed by USA and JAPAN. The journals with high publication volume were mainly concentrated in the field of agricultural and food chemistry, and Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry was the journal with the highest co-citation frequency, with a total of 988 citations. The "caffeine" "acid" and "catechin" were high-frequency keywords in tea beverage research, with research hotspots focusing on the detection and extraction of active substances in tea beverage, fermented teas, antioxidant and antibacterial activities. In summary, research on tea beverage was still on the rise, but existing studies suffered from a lack of cooperation among authors, limited research areas and convergent research methods, etc. Scholars should strengthen multifaceted cooperation and communication to broaden the breadth and depth of the research, and to jointly promote the development of research in this field. This study provided a reference for a more in-depth understanding of the current status of global tea beverage research in the future
