    Le micro-usinage laser de haute-précision est une technique qui est maintenant utilisée à grande échelle dans de nombreux secteurs de la production industrielle. Par exemple, il intervient dans le processus de production de nombreux produits électroniques mais aussi dans l’industrie automobile ou dans le secteur du luxe. On peut ainsi répertorier plus d’une dizaine d’opérations de micro-usinage laser dans le processus de production d’un smartphone ou d’une tablette numérique. L’usinage de précision permet aussi de percer les buses d’injection des moteurs diesel et produire ainsi des moteurs plus efficaces et moins polluants que leurs prédécesseurs. L’industrie du luxe l’utilise quant à elle pour lutter contre la contrefaçon ou encore pour produire des pièces mécaniques de haute précision pour l’horlogerie

    International audienceWe propose an accurate measurement of the evolution of the emission cross section of Nd:YVO4 versus temperature around 1064nm. This was done by using two complementary methods involving spectrum acquisition and laser oscillator small signal gain measurement. We observed a 44% decrease of the peak emission cross section for a 64 °C temperature increase but also a shift of the peak emission cross section wavelength at a rate of 3pm=°C.     High-power two-cycle ultrafast source based on hybrid nonlinear compression

    International audienceWe demonstrate a hybrid dual-stage nonlinear compression scheme, which allows the temporal compression of 330 fs-pulses down to 6.8 fs-pulses, with an overall transmission of 61%. This high transmission is obtained by using a first compression stage based on a gas-filled multipass cell, and a second stage based on a large-core gas-filled capillary. The source output is fully characterized in terms of spectral, temporal, spatial, and short-and long-term stability properties. The system's compactness, stability, and high average power makes it ideally suited to drive high photon flux XUV sources through high harmonic generation
