Extended Birkhoff's Theorem in the f(T) Gravity
The f(T) theory, a generally modified teleparallel gravity, has been proposed
as an alternative gravity model to account for the dark energy phenomena.
Following our previous work [Xin-he Meng and Ying-bin Wang, EPJC(2011),
arXiv:1107.0629v1], we prove that the Birkhoff's theorem holds in a more
general context, specifically with the off diagonal tetrad case, in this
communication letter. Then, we discuss respectively the results of the external
vacuum and internal gravitational field in the f(T) gravity framework, as well
as the extended meaning of this theorem. We also investigate the validity of
the Birkhoff's theorem in the frame of f(T) gravity via conformal
transformation by regarding the Brans-Dicke-like scalar as effective matter,
and study the equivalence between both Einstein frame and Jordan frame.Comment: 7 pages, 1 figure, submitted to EPJ-C. arXiv admin note: substantial

Birkhoff's Theorem in f(T) Gravity up to the Perturbative Order
f(T) gravity, a generally modified teleparallel gravity, has become very
popular in recent times as it is able to reproduce the unification of inflation
and late-time acceleration without the need of a dark energy component or an
inflation field. In this present work, we investigate specifically the range of
validity of Birkhoff's theorem with the general tetrad field via perturbative
approach. At zero order, Birkhoff's theorem is valid and the solution is the
well known Schwarzschild-(A)dS metric. Then considering the special case of the
diagonal tetrad field, we present a new spherically symmetric solution in the
frame of f(T) gravity up to the perturbative order. The results with the
diagonal tetrad field satisfy the physical equivalence between the Jordan and
the so-called Einstein frames, which are realized via conformal transformation,
at least up to the first perturbative order.Comment: 8 pages, no figure. Final version, accepted for publication in EPJ
Gymnosporangium species on Malus : species delineation, diversity and host alternation
Gymnosporangium species (Pucciniaceae, Pucciniales, Basidiomycota) are the causal agents of cedarapple
rust diseases, which can lead to significant economic losses to apple cultivars. Currently, the genus contains
17 described species that alternate between spermogonial/aecial stages on Malus species and telial stages on
Juniperus or Chamaecyparis species, although these have yet to receive a modern systematic treatment. Furthermore,
prior studies have shown that Gymnosporangium does not belong to the Pucciniaceae sensu stricto (s.str.),
nor is it allied to any currently defined rust family. In this study we examine the phylogenetic placement of the genus
Gymnosporangium. We also delineate interspecific boundaries of the Gymnosporangium species on Malus based
on phylogenies inferred from concatenated data of rDNA SSU, ITS and LSU and the holomorphic morphology of
the entire life cycle. Based on these results, we propose a new family, Gymnosporangiaceae, to accommodate
the genus Gymnosporangium, and recognize 22 Gymnosporangium species parasitic on Malus species, of which
G. lachrymiforme, G. shennongjiaense, G. spinulosum, G. tiankengense and G. kanas are new. Typification of
G. asiaticum, G. fenzelianum, G. juniperi-virginianae, G. libocedri, G. nelsonii, G. nidus-avis and G. yamadae are
proposed to stabilize the use of names. Morphological and molecular data from type materials of 14 Gymnosporangium
species are provided. Finally, morphological characteristics, host alternation and geographical distribution
data are provided for each Gymnosporangium species on Malus.National Nature Science Foundation of China, the China National Funds for Distinguished Young Scholars, the Biological Resources Programme, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Project for Fundamental Research on Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology of China.http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/nhn/pimjhttp://www.persoonia.orgam2021BiochemistryForestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute (FABI)GeneticsMicrobiology and Plant Patholog
Cosmological equations and Thermodynamics on Apparent Horizon in Thick Braneworld
We derive the generalized Friedmann equation governing the cosmological
evolution inside the thick brane model in the presence of two curvature
correction terms: a four-dimensional scalar curvature from induced gravity on
the brane, and a five-dimensional Gauss-Bonnet curvature term. We find two
effective four-dimensional reductions of the Friedmann equation in some limits
and demonstrate that they can be rewritten as the first law of thermodynamics
on the apparent horizon of thick braneworld.Comment: 25 pages, no figure, a definition corrected, several references

Slowly rotating charged black holes in anti-de Sitter third order Lovelock gravity
In this paper, we study slowly rotating black hole solutions in Lovelock
gravity (n=3). These exact slowly rotating black hole solutions are obtained in
uncharged and charged cases, respectively. Up to the linear order of the
rotating parameter a, the mass, Hawking temperature and entropy of the
uncharged black holes get no corrections from rotation. In charged case, we
compute magnetic dipole moment and gyromagnetic ratio of the black holes. It is
shown that the gyromagnetic ratio keeps invariant after introducing the
Gauss-Bonnet and third order Lovelock interactions.Comment: 14 pages, no figur
Three-Particle Correlations from Parton Cascades in Au+Au Collisions
We present a study of three-particle correlations among a trigger particle
and two associated particles in Au + Au collisions at = 200 GeV
using a multi-phase transport model (AMPT) with both partonic and hadronic
interactions. We found that three-particle correlation densities in different
angular directions with respect to the triggered particle (`center', `cone',
`deflected', `near' and `near-away') increase with the number of participants.
The ratio of `deflected' to `cone' density approaches to 1.0 with the
increasing of number of participants, which indicates that partonic Mach-like
shock waves can be produced by strong parton cascades in central Au+Au
collisions.Comment: 9 pages, 6 figures; Final version to appear in Physics Letters
Di-hadron azimuthal correlation and Mach-like cone structure in parton/hadron transport model
In the framework of a multi-phase transport model (AMPT) with both partonic
and hadronic interactions, azimuthal correlations between trigger particles and
associated scattering particles have been studied by the mixing-event
technique. The momentum ranges of these particles are
GeV/ and GeV/ (soft), or 4
GeV/ and GeV/ (hard) in Au + Au collisions at
= 200 GeV. A Mach-like structure has been observed in
correlation functions for central collisions. By comparing scenarios with and
without parton cascade and hadronic rescattering, we show that both partonic
and hadronic dynamical mechanisms contribute to the Mach-like structure of the
associated particle azimuthal correlations. The contribution of hadronic
dynamical process can not be ignored in the emergence of Mach-like correlations
of the soft scattered associated hadrons. However, hadronic rescattering alone
cannot reproduce experimental amplitude of Mach-like cone on away-side, and the
parton cascade process is essential to describe experimental amplitude of
Mach-like cone on away-side. In addition, both the associated multiplicity and
the sum of decrease, whileas the increases, with the impact
parameter in the AMPT model including partonic dynamics from string melting
scenario.Comment: 9 pages, 5 figures; Physics Letters B 641, 362-367 (2006
Corrections to Hawking-like Radiation for a Friedmann-Robertson-Walker Universe
Recently, a Hamilton-Jacobi method beyond semiclassical approximation in
black hole physics was developed by \emph{Banerjee} and
\emph{Majhi}\cite{beyond0}. In this paper, we generalize their analysis of
black holes to the case of Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) universe. It is
shown that all the higher order quantum corrections in the single particle
action are proportional to the usual semiclassical contribution. The
corrections to the Hawking-like temperature and entropy of apparent horizon for
FRW universe are also obtained. In the corrected entropy, the area law involves
logarithmic area correction together with the standard inverse power of area
term.Comment: 10 pages, no figures, comments are welcome; v2: references added and

Improved Eavesdropping Detection Strategy in Quantum Direct Communication Protocol Based on Four-particle GHZ State
In order to improve the eavesdropping detection efficiency in two-step
quantum direct communication protocol, an improved eavesdropping detection
strategy using four-particle GHZ state is proposed, in which four-particle GHZ
state is used to detect eavesdroppers. During the security analysis, the method
of the entropy theory is introduced, and two detection strategies are compared
quantitatively by using the constraint between the information which
eavesdropper can obtain and the interference introduced. If the eavesdroppers
intend to obtain all information, the eavesdropping detection rate of the
original two-step quantum direct communication protocol by using EPR pair block
as detection particles is 50%; while the proposed strategy's detection rate is
88%. In the end, the security of the proposed protocol is discussed. The
analysis results show that the eavesdropping detection strategy presented is
more secure.Comment: 14 pages, 3 figures. arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with

New mechanism to cross the phantom divide
Recently, type Ia supernovae data appear to support a dark energy whose
equation of state crosses -1, which is a much more amazing problem than the
acceleration of the universe. We show that it is possible for the equation of
state to cross the phantom divide by a scalar field in the gravity with an
additional inverse power-law term of Ricci scalar in the Lagrangian. The
necessary and sufficient condition for a universe in which the dark energy can
cross the phantom divide is obtained. Some analytical solutions with or
are obtained. A minimal coupled scalar with different potentials,
including quadratic, cubic, quantic, exponential and logarithmic potentials are
investigated via numerical methods, respectively. All these potentials lead to
the crossing behavior. We show that it is a robust result which is hardly
dependent on the concrete form of the potential of the scalar.Comment: 11 pages, 5 figs, v3: several references added, to match the
