Consideraciones acerca del erotismo:en la investigación y en la poesÃa del siglo XVI
The first part of this article takes a historic review on the investigation of eroticism in XVIth century cancionero-poetry from the beginning as a serious subject of investigation and summarize bibliographically the most important publications of literary criticism, dictionaries and anthologies dedicated to the erotic subject. The second part compares definitions of amor and erotismo and sketches the expanse of the erotic love subject. It wants to open the vision limited by social and moral concepts of the moment inorder to be able to understand better the poetry of other centuries
In the erotic and sensual poetry impressions and experiences of the five senses are expressed playfully through literal and metaphoric sense or specialized languages. This way physical and spiritual love are mixed up to create ambiguity or to provoke. This investigation is centred in the smell and the taste as the most intimate and less studied senses. It also ponders the role of hearing in love. Examples of painting of the period support this walk between Afrodita Pandemos and Urania
Embraced by the Sea. The Metaphorical Use of the Sea and the Symbology of Water in Spanish and Hispanoamerican Poetry
In Greek mythology and classical culture, there has always been a relationship between the sea and eroticism. Yet, European literature has been drawn away from this influence due to the weight of Jewish-Christian culture, besides the Arabic tradition on the Peninsula. Therefore, the sea in poetry has had a marginal role for hundreds of years. Even when the Renaissance artists rediscovered Hellenic culture, the representation of the ocean didn’t regain its vitality. It did appear in metaphors or comparisons and as general scenery, but still as a minor subject in poetry in general and especially in erotic poetry. Only throughout the 20th century, did the sea manage to develop its sensual potential and to lose the reputation of a cold and dangerous space. Not only in Spanish, but particularly Latin America erotic poetry, offers countless examples celebrating the dynamism of the sea through all senses.</p
The immunologic tumor microenvironment in endometrioid endometrial cancer in the morphomolecular context: mutual correlations and prognostic impact depending on molecular alterations
OBJECTIVE POLE-mutant, microsatellite-instable (MSI), p53-mutant and non-specific molecular profile (NSMP) are TCGA-defined molecular subgroups of endometrial cancer (EC). Hypothesizing that morphology and tumor immunology might differ depending on molecular background concerning composition and prognostic impact, we aimed to comprehensively interconnect morphologic, immunologic and molecular data. METHODS TCGA-defined molecular groups were determined by immunohistochemistry and sequencing in n = 142 endometrioid EC. WHO-defined histopathological grading was performed. The immunologic microenvironment (iTME) was characterised by the quantification of intraepithelial and stromal populations of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL: overall T-cells; T-Killer cells; regulatory T-cells (Treg)). Immunologic parameters were correlated with WHO-grading, TCGA-subgroups and prognosis. RESULTS High density TIL were significantly more frequent in high-grade (G3) compared to low-grade (G1/2) EC in the whole cohort and in the subgroup of POLE-wildtype-/microsatellite-stable-EC. MSI was associated with high-level TIL-infiltration when taking into account the type of mismatch repair defect (MLH1/PMS2; MSH2/MSH6). Prognostic impact of biomarkers depended on molecular subgroups: In p53-mutant EC, Treg were independently prognostic, in NSMP, the unique independently prognostic biomarker was WHO-grading. CONCLUSIONS EC morphology and immunology differ depending on genetics. Our study delineated two molecularly distinct subgroups of immunogenic EC characterized by high-density TIL-infiltration: MSI EC and high-grade POLE-wildtype/microsatellite-stable-EC. Prognostic impact of TIL-populations relied on TCGA-subgroups indicating specific roles for TIL depending on molecular background. In NSMP, histopathological grading was the only prognostic biomarker demonstrating the relevance of WHO-grading in an era of molecular subtyping
Escena del crimen: Viena. Una guÃa turÃstico-criminal desde el fin de siglo hasta nuestros dÃas (II)
Vienna has a clear reputation as a capital of tourism with the historic weight
of an imperial metropolis. This article proposes to contrast the reality of this
architectural cliché with other contemporary images of the city, less
touristic, less known and probably less attractive, yet equally real. It also
analyzes the transformation of the purpose in public and border places.
Therefore I compare the perspective from outside with the one from inside
and the feminine point of view with the masculine, based on a series of
detective novels that develop their plot in Vienna.
