    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sistem lama yang diterapkan pada bidang bursa kerja khusus (BKK) di sekolah, untuk menganalisis sistem informasi (aplikasi bursa kerja khusus) yang dikembangkan pada bidang BKK dalam meningkatkan mutu layanan sekolah, dan untuk mengevaluasi penggunaan aplikasi bursa kerja khusus yang dikembangkan pada bidang BKK dalam meningkatkan mutu layanan sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode waterfall yang merupakan sebuah pendekatan pada pengembangan perangkat lunak dengan model System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Hasil dari penelitian ini diantaranya yaitu memberikan solusi pemecahan masalah dengan mengimplementasikan SI pada pengelolaan data siswa dan data Dunia Usaha/Dunia Industri (DUDI) yang berjumlah ribuan pada bidang BKK di sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK), Solusi pengembangan SI berupa aplikasi bursa kerja khusus yang digunakan sebagai alat pendukung untuk meningkatkan kinerja layanan dan kualitas pada bidang BKK, dan Aplikasi bursa kerja khusus yang dikembangkan ditujukan untuk mempermudah pengguna dalam melakukan pengolahan dan pembuatan laporan data siswa dan data DUDI pada bidang BKK dalam menyediakan informasi yang efektif dan efisien sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan mutu layanan sekolah.----The purpose of this research was to analyze the old system that applied at special job fair office in school, to analyze the information system (special job fair application) that developed at special job fair office in improving the quality of school services, and to evaluate the special job fair application that developed at special job fair office in improving the quality of school services. This research uses waterfall method which is an approach of software development with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model. The result of this research was to provide the problem solving solution by implementing information system on management data of student and world of business and industrial that amounting of thousands data at special job fair office in vocational school, information system development solution was a special job fair application that used as a supporting tool to improve the service performance and quality at special job fair office, and the special job fair application that developed aimed to facilitate user in processing and reporting data of student and world of business and industrial at special job fair office in providing effective and efficient information as effort to increase quality of school services

    Pengembangan keprofesian berkelanjutan bagi guru merupakan suatu keharusan. Salah satu aspek dari pengembangan tersebut adalah publikasi ilmiah, yang dilakukan oleh guru melalui penulisan karya tulis ilmiah. Hal ini merupakan salah satu karakteristik dari guru profesional, yang ditunjukkan melalui kebiasaan menulis dan melakukan penelitian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan keprofesian berkelanjutan guru melalui publikasi ilmiah. Metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yang difokuskan pada analisis kebutuhan pelatihan publikasi ilmiah bagi guru sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) di Kota Palembang. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 37 guru SMK negeri dan swasta, yang dipilih secara purposive. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya, analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru SMK di Kota Palembang memiliki motivasi dan kemauan yang tinggi untuk menyusun karya tulis ilmiah. Namun, jumlah publikasi ilmiah berbasis hasil penelitian di jurnal masih tergolong minim. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kebutuhan pelatihan karya tulis ilmiah perlu difokuskan pada pengembangan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam melakukan penelitian, serta guru memerlukan pendampingan untuk dapat mempublikasikannya ke jurnal ilmiah

    This study aimed to explore the management of the life skills program organized by special high schools at the senior level. The case study approach was carried out by employing observations, interviews, and documentation techniques. The participants involved principal, teachers, graduates, parents, local government, and company. These participants involved themselves in efforts to support actively and their commitment to the success of the management of life skills program. The results indicated that the life skills program was well managed as it successfully delivered graduates to work in the company and be financially independent. The commitment of the school with the company and parents to enhance the independence of graduates with disabilities was through the life skills program to provide them with some valuable skills

    The Challenges of Learning Assistance Encountered by Parents in a Rural Area

    The Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) has been determined as pandemic causing schools around the world to be closed. This research aimed to observe the constraints of remote learning in rural areas during the Covid-19 pandemic. This quantitative research involved 280 parents in a rural area of Magelang city, Indonesia. The samples were chosen by using the proportional area random sampling technique. The research data were analyzed statistically and descriptively. The research results show that time allocation and parents’ academic capability accompanying children were the most challenging factors. Moreover, many children have emotional issues while doing assignments at home. Related to school, curricular information to parents and the supply of learning facility assistance were insufficient. Also, the most prominent problems in the role of parents in assisting children in learning were parents’ limited time and their low academic ability which should be considered by policymakers

    Exploring vocational students' satisfaction with online learning

    This study aimed to explore the factors that influence vocational students' perceptions of their online learning experiences and assess the quality of online learning that has an impact on student satisfaction. This research used structural equation modeling and partial least square (PLS-SEM) analysis. The purposive sampling technique was chosen to determine the sample of respondents. A total of 3206 students who participated in online learning from various vocational schools in Indonesia filled out an online survey. The results indicate that communication, digital media, interaction, facilities and tutorials have a direct effect on the quality of online learning. Schools that offer online education must prioritize the essential factors required for successful implementation to ensure that students have an enjoyable online learning experience. Teachers should focus on improving the quality of online learning to increase student satisfaction with it.   Furthermore, teachers should consider the findings of this research when developing strategies for vocational education in online settings

    The Key Determinants of Social Media Use in Teaching during the Covid-19 Outbreak: Indonesia Case

    This study aims to provide empirical evidence on how higher education institutions (HEIs) teacher educators use SM in teaching during the Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) outbreak. Evaluation of the factors that are the key to implementing the use of SM in education during the Covid-19 outbreak is essential. We used a survey aiming to answer the research questions of the study. The study participants are 297 faculty members from all over the Indonesian faculty of education and teacher training. The findings of the study reported that all hypotheses are significant. Facilitating Condition (FC) significantly predicts Perceived Ease of Use (PEU) and Perceived Usefulness (PU). Similarly, PEU is positively related to PU and Intention to Use (IU). PU also significantly determines IU. In addition,  IU is significantly correlated with Actual Use (AU). The highest path coefficient is achieved by the relationship between the FC and PU. PEU and PU are the lowest relationship. Suggestions and recommendations are offered for the betterment of teaching and learning processes during the Covid-19 outbreak

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan pemahaman mengenai pelaksanaan tugas kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin di SMA Negeri 1 Tambang, Kabupaten Kampar, Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan kepala sekolah sebagai subjek penelitian dan implementasi tugas sebagai fokusnya. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Proses analisis data melibatkan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah menerapkan model kepemimpinan partisipatif dimana aspirasi dan peran guru selalu dilibatkan dalam pengambilan keputusan di sekolah. Selain itu, kepala sekolah juga menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis, dimana semua anggota termasuk tukang sapu pun memiliki peran dan fungsi yang dihargai. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa kepala sekolah menerapkan manajemen modern dengan memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi dalam era globalisasi saat ini. Hal ini membantu meningkatkan efektivitas kepemimpinan dalam mencapai tujuan, seperti penggunaan fasilitas CCTV. Bukti ini dapat dilihat dari penggunaan dan pengontrolan CCTV yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah, dimana setiap ruangan telah dilengkapi dengan fasilitas tersebut

    The credibility of the digital media: Teacher perceptions and practice

    The current digital literacy skill that teachers have to master is the ability to determine the credibility of the digital media for education used to support distance learning. The teachers were asked to sort several digital media and differentiate which digital media provided many benefits and best facilitate learning. This research was comparative quantitative research. The participants were 108 teachers directed to assess the credibility of digital media to compare between high and low credibility. The purpose of this study was to understand how teachers determine the credibility of the digital media whether they decided based on star reviews or the number of the features provided by the digital media that were used to facilitate learning. The results shown that when using the digital media with high star reviews, the digital media with more features gained more credibility, on the other hand, the digital media with fewer features were not able to compensate for the low star reviews. The ultimate goal proposed is to change the attitude and behavior of the teacher. When the teacher knew the information and chose the digital media to use, the teacher finds a change in their attitude. In general, digital media use in learning tends to be seen from the star reviews given by digital media users, which can trigger credibility assessment

    The Fun School Movement Program (GSM) is a program that encourages a positive, fun, safe learning environment and evokes student enthusiasm for learning. This program aims to improve the quality of learning and good character of students. In addition, the emergence of the concept of freedom of learning for students and teachers through the independent learning curriculum makes the problems faced by schools more complex. This activity aims to assist schools in developing the GSM program and increasing understanding of the independent learning curriculum. The activity was carried out six times which included discussion, practice and program assistance in Depok District, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The results of the training and mentoring activities show that there has been an increase in the understanding of educators on the concept of GSM and the Independent Learning Curriculum. In addition, teachers are also able to design products in the form of GSM programs that can be implemented in their school
