La traducción y las nuevas tecnologías: un estudio de Gabriella Infinita de Jaime Alejandro Rodríguez

Este artículo reflexiona sobre el proceso de traducción de un texto literario generado en el ámbito de las nuevas tecnologías. El estudio parte de la obra Gabriella Infinita compuesta en tres versiones: la primera impresa, y las dos siguientes en su versión digital: una hipertextual y otra hipermedia. Todas pertenecen al autor colombiano Jaime Alejandro Rodríguez. A partir de ellas, analizamos las formas posibles de traducción a la lengua polaca. Para llevar a cabo este análisis, es necesario demostrar cuáles pueden ser los métodos de traducción aplicables a los elementos textuales y no textuales (imagen, sonido) de la obra. Como consideramos a esta literatura un “producto” interactivo y digital, necesitamos explicar cómo se efectuó y, de ahí, cómo se procedió en la traducción literaria propiamente dicha, la cual está entrelazada (en su versión digital) directamente con la traducción audiovisual. Desde esta perspectiva, se trabajó con el proceso de GILT(Globalización, Internacionalización, Localización y Traducción) que, a su vez, se relacionó con los elementos de “jugabilidad” y “usabilidad”, ambos empleados por Rodríguez en su cibertexto.The present article ponders the process of translating a literary text generated in the field of new technologies. It studies the work entitled Gabriella Infinita, which was created in three versions: the first one in print, and the other two in digital versions, as hypertext and hypermedia. All of them belong to the Colombian author Jaime Alejandro Rodríguez and are analyzed in regards to their possible translation to Polish. In order to build this analysis, it is necessary to show what might be the translation methods that apply to textual and non-textual elements (image, sound) of the work. As we consider this literature an interactive digital “product,” we feel the need to explain how the literary translation was carried out, and to look into the process itself, which is (in its digital form) directly intertwined with the audiovisual translation. From this perspective, the GILT (Globalization, Internationalization, Localization and Translation) method was used and, afterwards, related to the elements of “playability” and “usability” used by Rodríguez in his cyber-text

El artículo plantea preguntas sobre los múltiples papeles del traductor teatral. Después de presentar los temas básicos de la traducción teatral, se discuten sus dos formas principales: la traducción literaria y la traducción escénica. Dentro de esta última se distinguen: audiodescripción, lenguaje de señas, resumen escrito, resumen oral, paráfrasis, interpretación simultánea y subtítulos. La parte práctica del artículo se centra en el análisis de la versión teatral de Grzegorz Jarzyna (presentación preliminar: 26 de marzo de 2009, Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz, Berlín) de la pieza teatral de Dorota Masłowska Między nami dobrze jest (2008, Warszawa, Lampa i Iskra Boża) y su traducción en forma de sobretítulos en español titulada Entre nosotros, todo va bien de Xavier Farré (estreno: 4 de noviembre de 2011, Teatro Valle-Inclán, Madrid)

A Case Study of a Practitioner Researcher in Information Systems Development

Many key contributions to research in information systems development (ISD) have been made by practitioners. This exploratory study aims to advance the knowledge about practitioner researchers, which can help improve the cooperation between academics and practitioners in ISD research. Adopting a qualitative research strategy an exploratory case study of a practitioner researcher is carried out. The data is collected through an in-depth interview and a sample of refereed publications. The study shows that practitioner research is not limited to experience papers but includes theoretical contributions as well. Writing papers is how the practitioner researcher in the study reflects on his professional practice, and in this sense he writes them for himself. This may explain why he prefers theoretical papers, shows little interest in experience reports, does not document systematic data collection, and does not emphasise reflexivity in his papers

Bioinformatische Analyse des Humanen Leukozyten Antigens in Chronisch Entzündlichen Darmerkrankungen

The Human Leucocyte Antigen (HLA) has been identified as a genetic risk factor for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). The causative role of the HLA in IBD remains to be revealed. The aim of this thesis is to gain as much understanding as possible about the HLA alleles genetically associated with Ulcerative Colitis (UC), a subtype of IBD. This cumulative thesis includes two papers published in peer-reviewed journals and an additional manuscript which is in progress. In the first publication, presented in this thesis (Section 6.3), we built an imputation panel that enabled the analysis of IBD and the associated HLA alleles and their corresponding haplotypes across different ancestries. In the second publication (Section 7.3), I analyzed the interaction of peptides with a defined set of HLA alleles associated with UC. This study was the first to use ultra-high density microarray data for predicting the binding status of HLA alleles and peptides. In the final manuscript (Section 8.3), I studied the genetics of UC in Caucasian individuals. I analyzed, what the genetics, combined with prior knowledge about different genes and their protein function, can tell us about a hypothesized peptide that might be a key player in the pathogenesis of UC. Next to some improvements in the imputation of HLA genomes and the binding prediction, this thesis points out first concrete candidate peptides and suggests a path to continue to discover more about the contribution of the HLA in UC
