    Get PDF
Artificial intelligence(AI) is a subject nurtured by western traditional philosophy and modern science, it studies how to build Intelligent machine system and expands human intelligence. The biggest problem of AI being treated is structural imbalance, which the technology is advanced, while the intelligent generation and AI Ethics are weakened. In the development of Chinese religion, The Book of Changes is not only the representative of primitive religion, but also promoted the birth of Taoism, it played an important role in shaping Chinese Buddhism, and integrating Islam, Catholicism, and Christianity into Chinese religion. The biggest problem of Chinese religion being treated is how to get rid of the backwardness of ancient superstition and clear its position as well as function under the background of globalization and modernization. There are many intersections between AI and The Book of Changes in cognitive science, human intelligence, ethical construction and so on, which provides the possibility for both parties to have a mutual therapeutic dialogue. In a word, the AI's structural imbalance which brings the fragmentation and utilitarian problems can be treated from the intuitive, holistic and dialectical thinking of The Book of Changes. While the Chinese religion that has been deeply shaped by The Book of Changes can obtain prescriptions from the AI discipline system

Dynamic modeling and control of a novel XY positioning stage for semiconductor packaging

    Get PDF
This paper presents the dynamic modeling and controller design of an XY positioning stage for semiconductor packaging. The XY stage is directly driven by two linear voice coil motors, and motion decoupling between the X and Y axes is realized through a novel flexible decoupling mechanism based on flexure hinges and preloaded spring. Through bond graph method, the dynamic models of X- and Y-axes servomechanisms are established, respectively, and the state space equations are derived. A control methodology is proposed based on force compensations and the performance of the XY stage is investigated by simulations and experimental tests. The results show that the XY stage has good performance. When the reference displacements are defined as 2 mm, the settling time of the X-axis movement is 64 ms, and the overshoot is 0.7%. Y-axis settling time is 62 ms, and the overshoot is 0.8%. X-axis positioning accuracy is 1.85 μm and the repeatability is 0.95 μm. Y-axis positioning accuracy and repeatability are 1.75 μm and 0.9 μm, respectively. In addition, the stage can track linear, circular and complex trajectories very well

Indian monsoon variability on millennial-orbital timescales

The Indian summer monsoon (ISM) monsoon is critical to billions of people living in the region. Yet, significant debates remain on primary ISM drivers on millennial-orbital timescales. Here, we use speleothem oxygen isotope (δ18O) data from Bittoo cave, Northern India to reconstruct ISM variability over the past 280,000 years. We find strong coherence between North Indian and Chinese speleothem δ18O records from the East Asian monsoon domain, suggesting that both Asian monsoon subsystems exhibit a coupled response to changes in Northern Hemisphere summer insolation (NHSI) without significant temporal lags, supporting the view that the tropical-subtropical monsoon variability is driven directly by precession-induced changes in NHSI. Comparisons of the North Indian record with both Antarctic ice core and sea-surface temperature records from the southern Indian Ocean over the last glacial period do not suggest a dominant role of Southern Hemisphere climate processes in regulating the ISM variability on millennial-orbital timescales

Polyneuropathy as Novel Initial Manifestation in a Case of “Nonsecretory” POEMS Syndrome with Sjögren’s Syndrome

    Get PDF
POEMS syndrome (polyneuropathy, organomegaly, endocrinopathy, monoclonal gammopathy, and skin changes) is a paraneoplastic syndrome driven by plasma cell dyscrasias. We report a patient with novel initial manifestation of polyneuropathy, which was considered due to Sjögren’s syndrome but with poor response to methylprednisolone (120 mg/d) and intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg). Further investigation by imaging tests and following biopsy eventually confirmed the diagnosis of POEMS syndrome secondary to solitary plasmocytoma. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of POEMS syndrome with Sjögren’s syndrome occurring in the absence of a peripheral monoclonal gammopathy, highlighting the diagnostic challenges posed by this disease and reviewing the diagnostic role of (18) F-FDG PET/CT in POEMS syndrome

Effects of Crofton weed Ageratina adenophora on assemblages of Carabidae (Coleoptera) in the Yunnan Province, South China

Abstract Crofton weed (Ageratina adenophora) is a highly invasive weed that has spread into several provinces of southern China. This study compares carabid assemblages originating from native pastures with assemblages in Crofton weed dominated communities in the Lancang County, Yunnan Province, to assess how the invasion of this neophyte impacts the community structure of ground-dwelling arthropods. Over a period of 16 months, a total of 1574 carabid beetles representing 28 species were collected at two types of pasture, and 679 carabid beetles representing 34 species at stands of Crofton weed. The most common carabid species, Tetragonoderus arcuatus and Harpalus indicus, were mostly found in the pastures, while four of the five rarest species were present exclusively under Crofton weed. Alpha-diversity and evenness of carabid assemblages were greater under Crofton weed. Three distinct groups of carabid species were separated according to indicator values and a characterization of habitats: habitat generalists, Crofton weed specialists and native pasture specialists. The distribution of carabid species was related to environmental parameters such as depth of litter layer, total phosphorus, height of vegetation, amount of fresh biomass and pH of the soil. According to this study, the invasion of Crofton weed will alter the structure of carabid communities, but will not necessarily reduce the alpha-diversity of carabid assemblages.

With increasing global energy demand and increasing energy production from renewable resources, energy storage has been considered crucial in conducting energy management and ensuring the stability and reliability of the power network. By comparing different possible technologies for energy storage, Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) is recognized as one of the most effective and economical technologies to conduct long-term, large-scale energy storage. In terms of choosing underground formations for constructing CAES reservoirs, salt rock formations are the most suitable for building caverns to conduct long-term and large-scale energy storage. The existing CAES plants and those under planning have demonstrated the importance of CAES technology development. In both Canada and China, CAES plants are needed to conduct renewable energy storage and electricity management in particular areas. Although further research still needs to be conducted, it is feasible and economical to develop salt caverns for CAES in Canada and China.Cited as: Li, L., Liang, W., Lian, H., Yang, J., Dusseault, M. Coal gangue needs to be transported to the ground for further treatment in traditional underground mines, which not only occupies land spaces, but also causes atmospheric and environmental pollutions due to spontaneous combustion and rainwater leaching. Moreover, energy consumption problems caused by long-distance ineffective transportation have become a key bottleneck restricting the low-carbon development of coal mines. In order to realize the underground disposal of coal gangue, and to reduce carbon emission and energy resource consumption per unit output from the source of coal production, as well as to realize the green low-carbon intelligent mining of coal, the present situation and intelligent progress of underground sorting and filling technology of coal gangue are comprehensively reviewed, and in this regard, the developing trend of underground sorting and filling technology of coal gangue is also anticipated. Meanwhile, an innovative method of underground in-situ green intelligent sorting and filling of coal gangue is proposed, and the structure and principle of coal gangue intelligent sorting and new filling hydraulic support are described in detail, so as to minimize the invalid transportation distance of gangue. In order to deal with the gangue of coal mining face and prevent the dynamic disaster of coal and rock, an intelligent integrated system of mining, sorting and filling in coal mine is designed, including four subsystems, i.e., an intelligent mining system with less gangue, an in-situ intelligent sorting system, a mine pressure inversion system of working face and a precise scientific filling system. Meanwhile, new logic relationships among multiple subsystems are discussed, so as to form a virtuous cycle of coal mining conducive to sorting, sorting conducive to filling and filling conducive to coal mining. In order to deal with the gangue in the heading face, an intelligent integrated system of underground excavation, aimed at sorting and filling in coal mine is proposed also with four subsystems, i.e., an intelligent fast excavation system, an intelligent sorting system, a coal gangue transportation system and an intelligent filling system, and the work and intelligent realization of each subsystem are described. The proposed new process in this study is expected to realize the underground disposal of coal gangue, and provide new ideas for the research of in-situ intelligent sorting and filling method of coal gangue and the integrated system of mining, sorting and filling
