Laminar burning velocities of hydrogen-oxygen-steam mixturets at elevated temperatures and pressures

In this paper, the effects of elevated temperatures and pressure on the velocity of a laminar flame of mixtures of hydrogen and oxygen-vapor are numerically investigated. Investigation of the effects of methyl chloride addition on premixed, laminar, methane/air flat flames

Temperatures and the concentrations of stable species, such as CO, CO2, CH4, and CH3Cl, have been measured over the height above burner at equivalence ratio of 0.79 (fuel lean) and 1.20 (fuel rich) for premixed, laminar CH4/air and CH3Cl/CH4/air flat flames. A water-cooled quartz sampling micro-probe and gas chromatographic analysis were used for the concentration measurements. Chemical kinetic modeling of these flames with a 279-reaction, 63-species elementary reaction mechanism is performed using the CHEMKIN premixed flat flame code. The results of rate-of-production calculations are analyzed to determine the most important reaction pathways responsible for destruction of the fuels, and the production and consumption of the intermediates. Experimental data show that CH4/air flames doped with CH3Cl have higher CO/CO2 concentration ratios over almost all heights above the burner at the same equivalence ratio, which is consistent with the modeling prediction

Through the approval of the Kyoto Protocol, the ONU Convention held in Europe and has taken to reduce the emissions of sulfur in large combustion installations through the development of projects for desulphurization flue gas in coal burning power plants to improve the reports relating to the impact on the environment. Desulphurization technology represents stations through which combustion products are treated in the process of burning coal of fossil fuels in order to reduce the concentration of SO2 (sulfur dioxide). The case study refers the Paroșeni power plant, one of the consumers of Jiul Valley hard coal, which, in these circumstances may remain a long run user of the local coal mines produced hard coal. So, the presence of hard coal in the energy mix of National Energy System could be preserved, taking into account the uncertain future of Mintia power plant, the second user of the mentioned above hard coal

Wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Bibliotheken : öffentlich zugängliche Allgemein- und Spezialbibliotheken mit wirtschaftsrelevanten Beständen in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland

Die Literaturversorgung und Informationsvermittlung hat in unserer Gesellschaft eine große Bedeutung, vornehmlich in den Bereichen Forschung, Bildung und Lehre. Dabei spielen die Bibliotheken eine wichtige Rolle. Ein Verzeichnis mit Angaben zu den Bibliotheken, die über wirtschaftsrelevante Bestände verfügen, entspricht daher sicherlich einem dringenden Informationsbedarf in diesem, in besonderem Maße auf Fachliteratur angewiesenen Gebiet. Was den Umfang des Bibliotheksführers anbelangt, muss Folgendes festgestellt werden. Zum einen hat er nicht den Ehrgeiz, möglichst viele Bibliotheken nachzuweisen, sondern nur jene, die der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich sind. Leider sind aus diesem Grunde zahlreiche gut ausgestattete Bibliotheken (wie beispielsweise bestimmte Firmenbibliotheken) nicht in dem Verzeichnis erfasst. Zum anderen habe ich mich auf die Meldungen beschränkt, die ich aufgrund meiner Aufrufe erhalten habe. Diese umfassen 61 Bibliotheken, die im Hauptteil alphabetisch nachgewiesen werden. Erschlossen wird dieser Teil durch zwei Register, die den unterschiedlichen Bedürfnissen entsprechen sollen: Das Stichwortregister listet die Fachgebiete auf, die die Bibliotheken in ihren Meldungen als Beschreibung ihrer Bestände angegeben haben. Das Ortsregister soll jenen helfen, die feststellen wollen, ob in ihrem Wohnort oder der näheren Umgebung eine Bibliothek vorhanden ist, die Literatur speziell zu einem von ihnen gesuchten Gebiet hat
