    Aktivitas Antiinflamasi Ekstrak Etanolik Daun Arbenan [Duchesnea indica (Jacks.) Focke]

    Arbenan leaf is a medicinal plant that used in the healing of inflammation. The content of phenolic compounds, flavonoids, steroids and tannins contained in arbenan plants which play an important role in alternative medicine. Currently, scientific work of phytotherapy is an important alternative route in finding effective natural medicines with minimal side effects. The aim of this study was to determine the phytochemical properties and to determine the anti-inflammatory effect of arbenan leaf [Duchesnea indica (Jacks.) Focke] extract. In this study, nine male Wistar rats were tested in three treatment groups. Group I Na CMC, group II Na diclofenac and group III arbenan leaf extract. Inflammation in rats by inducing 1% carrageenan as much as 0.10 mL. The volume of edema per hour is known from the difference in the volume of the foot at certain hours with the volume of the normal foot. The AUC value of edema volume was calculated by the trapezoid method every one hour and the percen of anti-inflammatory power was calculated. The statistical analysis of the Least Significance Different (LSD) AUC value from the edema volume data showed that the two treatment groups, namely the Na diclofenac and the arbenan leaf extract group, were significantly different from the Na CMC group (P <0.05). So that both treatment groups have anti-inflammatory effects. The results showed that the ethanolik extract of arbenan leaves contained phenolic compounds, flavonoids and tannins. Then the ethanolic extract of arbenan leaves has anti-inflammatory activity of 0.31%

    UPAYA ISOLASI β-ASARONE PADA EKSTRAK n-HEKSAN RIMPANG DRINGO (Acorus calamus L.) ASAL KABUPATEN PINRANG

    The isolation of n-hexane extract from Sweet Flag rhizome (Acorus calamus L.) was done. The aim of this research is to obtain β-asarone isolate as marker compound of   Sweet Flag (Acorus calamus L.). Sample from 1 kg of dried rizhome, mascerate using n-hexane. This process produce 31 ml thick extract. Isolation of n-hexane extract using column chromatography with isocratic methode using n-hexane etil acetat 8 : 2.  The isolate identified by UV-Vis spectroscopy,  IR spectroscopy,  (1H) NMR and Gas Chromatography Mass Spectro. From the data result show that isolate is β-asarone

    A studies have been conducted identifying and determining the levels of sildenafil citrate in men vitality herbs that marketed in twon of makassar. This study aims to determine the presence of drugs chemicals substances (BKO) in men vitality herbs that is sildenafil citrate with TLC–Densitometry method. Herbal samples extracted using methanol solvent. Identification test by thin layer chromatography (TLC) using a mobiloe phase of chloroform – ethanol (9.5 : 0,5) indicates that the herbal sample were compared with comparator compounds contains sildenafil citrate. Assay done using a TLC-Densitometry at a maximum wavelength of 292 nm. The results showed levels of sildenafil citrate in men vitality herbs was 0,00827 g/100 g or 0,00827 % per capsule.Key Words : Identifying, Determining, Sildenafil Citrate, Men Vitality Herb

    UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN ARBENAN (Duchesnea indica (Jacks.) Focke) DENGAN METODE DPPH

    Arbenan (Duchesnea indica (Jacks.) Focke) is a plant belonging to Rosaceae family which server as an antioxidant, flavonoids. This research aimed to determine the antioxidant activity of ethanol extract of arbenan leaves using DPPH. The leaves were extracted using maceration method with a sample size of 300 gs dissolved using ethanol 70%, then obtained the viscous extract of 32,49 gs. The arrest of free radicals for each tested sample under the inhibition of DPPH. The tests were conducted at the 4 concentration series of 10, 20, 30, and 40 ppm by using methanol p.a by the addition of 0,5 mL with 3,5 mL DPPH of 30 ppm. Antioxidant activity absorbance was measured by a spectrophotometer at the wavelength of   515 nm and IC50 value was calculated based on the absorbance data. The calculations showed that the Arbenan leaves have a very strong antioxidant activity with IC50 value of 30,20 µg/mL

    Abstrak: Analisa situasi masyarakat Desa Paddinging, mayoritas masyarakat bekerja sebagai petani dan hanya memanfaatkan hasil tani sebagai mata pencaharian. Masyarakat tidak lagi memiliki kegiatan keseharian selain bertani oleh sebab itu membuat minyak aromaterapi memiliki peluang besar yang dapat dilakukan ibu PKK bahkan kedepannya jika rutin dan terorganisir bisa menambah pendapatan masyarakat desa. Program ini bisa membantu meningkatkan pengetahuan warga untuk mengolah jahe dan sereh menjadi minyak aromaterapi. Dengan demikian tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pelatihan dasar cara membuat minyak aromaterapi. Pelaksanaan program kerja dilakukan dengan metode pendekatan, diskusi, pelatihan dan praktek lapangan. Langkah-langkah program telah terlaksana dan  mencapai hasil sesuai yang diharapkan yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan minyak aromaterapi berbahan jahe, sereh, kayu manis dan cengkeh yang di beri label “Minyak Aromaterapi Cap Paddinging” sebagai obat pegal-pegal, meringankan sakit kepala, melancarkan peredaran darah bahkan antinyamuk.  Pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pembuatan minyak aromaterapi sebagai kelompok sasaran dilakukan melalui pendekatan, diskusi, pelatihan dan praktek lapangan membuat minyak aromaterapi Cap Paddinging.Abstract: Analysis of the community situation of Paddinging village, the majority of people work as farmers and only utilize the crops as a livelihood. People no longer have daily activities other than farming because it makes aromatherapy oil has a great opportunity that PKK mother can do even in the future if routine and organized can increase the income of village people. This Program can help increase the knowledge of residents to cultivate ginger and lemongrass into aromatherapy oils. Thus the purpose of this community devotion is to provide basic training on how to make aromatherapy oils. Implementation of a work program is done by approach method, discussion, training, and field practice. The steps of the program have been carried out and achieved the results as expected is the training and mentoring the making of aromatherapy-based oils ginger, lemongrass, cinnamon, and clove labeled "Aromatherapy oil Cap Paddinging" as medicine aches, relieves headaches, blood circulation even mosquito repellent.  Community empowerment in the manufacture of aromatherapy oil as a target group is done through the approach, discussion, training, and practice of the field making aromatherapy oil Cap Paddinging

    SKRINING FITOKIMIA DAN PENETAPAN KANDUNGAN FLAVONOID TOTAL EKSTRAK METANOLIK HERBA BOROCO (Celosia argentea L.)

    Phytochemical Screening and Determination of Total Flavonoids Content of Methanolic Extracts of Boroco Herbs (Celocia argentea L). Boroco plant is often used as a traditional medicine for anti inflammatory, diuretic, hypertension, dysentery. Chemical constituents in boroco herbs (Celocia argentea L.) are alkaloids and flavanoids, glycosides, tannin and saponin (2003) . Each sample extraction using 96 % methanol of maceration method. Then performed to determine the class of phytochemical screening of active compounds are contained in the sample. Determination of total flavanoids done by chang et al method (2002) of Boroco herbs. Result of the study showed the total flavanoids content of methanolic extract of boroco herbs calculated as a rutin for 2.57%

    KAJIAN ETNOFARMASI DENGAN PENGGUNAAN TANAMAN OBAT TRADISIONAL DI KECAMATAN TANRALILI, KABUPATEN MAROS, PROVINSI SULAWESI SELATAN

    The study of ethnopharmaceuticals is a scientific approach that can assist in exploring the knowledge of the local tribe towards traditional plants that are efficacious as medicine and still rely on or use plants as medicine. This study aims to determine the use of medicinal plants which include the parts of the plants used, processing methods and usage methods. The method used in this research is purposive sampling method.  The results of the study obtained as many as 42 species spread into 28 and have 3 plants that have frequency values, Use Value (UV) and percent of plants including soursop, kaposanda and papaya plants and the lowest values are bandotan, chicken dung, cinnamon, gedi, tapak liman plants used by the people of Tanralili sub-district, Maros district as traditional medicine. The conclusion is that the level of knowledge related to the use of traditional medicinal plants tends to still use and utilize and as an alternative treatment.This plant has the highest parameter of frequency 28, Use Value (UV) is 0.28 and plant percent is 11.97% on soursop plants and has the lowest value with a frequency value of 1, Use value (UV) is 0.01 and percent of plants namely 0.43% on bandotan, chicken dung, cinnamon, gedi, tapak liman and sweet potato plant
