AbstractIn this paper we prove the persistence of lower dimensional invariant tori with prescribed frequencies and singular normal matrices in reversible systems. The normal variable is two-dimensional and the unperturbed nonlinear terms in the differential equation for this variable have a special structure

Purpose: To study the effectiveness and safety of apatinib as second-line treatment for advanced pancreatic cancer (APC) in a Chinese tertiary cancer hospital. Methods: Two groups of APC patients who received treatment with single-agent or two-drug combination of gemcitabine-based first-line therapy (50 per group) in The Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, Nanjing were assessed. The study group received apatinib at or above the second line treatment, while the control group was treated with second-line chemotherapy, which was different from first-line single-drug chemotherapy. Patients received treatments until there was improvement in their conditions, or until adverse reactions became intolerable. Complete remission (CR), partial remission (PR), disease stabilization (SD), disease progression (PD), incidence of adverse reactions, and progression-free survival (PFS) of the patients were recorded. Results: The number of PR cases in APC patients who received apatinib as second-line therapy, and the number of PD patients were higher than the corresponding populations in the control group (p < 0.05). Treatment effectiveness was significantly higher in study group patients than in control subjects (p < 0.05). However, the incidence of adverse reactions was lower in the study group than in control group. Median PFS in the study group (5 months) was significantly higher than that of the control group (4.1 months, p < 0.05). Conclusion: The clinical efficacy of apatinib as second-line treatment for advanced pancreatic cancer is higher than that of the single drug. Apatinib is associated with low incidence of adverse reactions which prolongs PFS. Thus, apatinib has potentials for the clinical management of pancreatic cancer

In China, field management mechanization of corn, tobacco and sugarcane with high stalks is an important technical problem in agricultural mechanization development.  According to the characteristics of high stalk crops planted in different row spacing in the plain area of Henan province, this paper designed a full hydraulic driving field high frame operation vehicle, included power system, engine placement and M type three-wheeled high frame structure.  It also adopted a closed hydraulic system fully driven by three hydraulic motors, hydraulic power steering system and hydraulic track adjustment system.  Its maximum clearance height is 1,800 mm. Speed ranges from 0-17 km/h with the hydraulic control.  The back wheel track adjustment ranges from 2,000-2,400 mm.  It can solve the problems of the high cost price in complex transmission system of the most domestic off highroad vehicles that the track cannot be changed.  In this paper, a field high frame operation vehicle for the high stalk crop in field management operation has been provided. Keywords: high stalk crop, full hydraulic driving, three-wheeled, high traffic ability, field operation vehicl

Numerical simulation of material flow in AA6082 during friction stir spot welding

Friction stir spot welding (FSSW) is a new solid state joining technology based on the linear friction stir welding which can be used to replace the conventional resistance spot welding as well as riveting. However, some key problems such as heat transfer and thermoplastic material flow have not yet been studied sufficiently and block the application of this advanced technology. This paper presents the coupled thermo-mechanical viscoplastic finite element formulation based on the character of FSSW. The model was calibrated by comparing temperature history between simulation results and experimental data and subsequently used to investigate the effective strain rate and material flow in joint. The temperature study showed that the simulation and experiment results coincided well with each other thus proofing the correctness of the model. The simulation results showed that the effective strain rate distribution were not uniform. The material close to the pin’s cylindrical surface had a higher effective strain rate than that of the other material. The materials in weld centre mainly experienced a compression process and the other material under the tool experienced both compression and shear process

Joint transmit power allocation and splitting for swipt aided OFDM-IDMA in wireless sensor networks

In this paper, we propose to combine Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing-Interleave Division Multiple Access (OFDM-IDMA) with Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer (SWIPT), resulting in SWIPT aided OFDM-IDMA scheme for power-limited sensor networks. In the proposed system, the Receive Node (RN) applies Power Splitting (PS) to coordinate the Energy Harvesting (EH) and Information Decoding (ID) process, where the harvested energy is utilized to guarantee the iterative Multi-User Detection (MUD) of IDMA to work under sufficient number of iterations. Our objective is to minimize the total transmit power of Source Node (SN), while satisfying the requirements of both minimum harvested energy and Bit Error Rate (BER) performance from individual receive nodes. We formulate such a problem as a joint power allocation and splitting one, where the iteration number of MUD is also taken into consideration as the key parameter to affect both EH and ID constraints. To solve it, a sub-optimal algorithm is proposed to determine the power profile, PS ratio and iteration number of MUD in an iterative manner. Simulation results verify that the proposed algorithm can provide significant performance improvement

Genome-wide DNA methylation analysis of pulmonary function in middle and old-aged Chinese monozygotic twins

Background Previous studies have determined the epigenetic association between DNA methylation and pulmonary function among various ethnics, whereas this association is largely unknown in Chinese adults. Thus, we aimed to explore epigenetic relationships between genome-wide DNA methylation levels and pulmonary function among middle-aged Chinese monozygotic twins. Methods The monozygotic twin sample was drawn from the Qingdao Twin Registry. Pulmonary function was measured by three parameters including forced expiratory volume the first second (FEV1), forced vital capacity (FVC), and FEV1/FVC ratio. Linear mixed effect model was used to regress the methylation level of CpG sites on pulmonary function. After that, we applied Genomic Regions Enrichment of Annotations Tool (GREAT) to predict the genomic regions enrichment, and used comb-p python library to detect differentially methylated regions (DMRs). Gene expression analysis was conducted to validate the results of differentially methylated analyses. Results We identified 112 CpG sites with the level of P < 1 x 10(-4) which were annotated to 40 genes. We identified 12 common enriched pathways of three pulmonary function parameters. We detected 39 DMRs located at 23 genes, of which PRDM1 was related to decreased pulmonary function, and MPL, LTB4R2, and EPHB3 were related to increased pulmonary function. The gene expression analyses validated DIP2C, ASB2, SLC6A5, and GAS6 related to decreased pulmonary function. Conclusion Our DNA methylation sequencing analysis on identical twins provides new references for the epigenetic regulation on pulmonary function. Several CpG sites, genes, biological pathways and DMRs are considered as possible crucial to pulmonary function.Peer reviewe
