    Capacity of a simultaneous quantum secure direct communication scheme between the central party and other M parties

    We analyze the capacity of a simultaneous quantum secure direct communication scheme between the central party and other MM parties via M+1M+1-particle GHZ states and swapping quantum entanglement. It is shown that the encoding scheme should be secret if other MM parties wants to transmit M+1M+1 bit classical messages to the center party secretly. However when the encoding scheme is announced publicly, we prove that the capacity of the scheme in transmitting the secret messages is 2 bits, no matter how big MM is.Comment: 3 page

    Throughout the history of Indonesia, the concepts of gender and power-relations between men and women have been linked to a shifting and fluctuating idea of what constitutes good women, good men, and good gender relationships within the context of Indonesia and Islam. To analyse these changing attitudes to women\u27s issues in Indonesia, we need to pay attention to several points: the character of the women\u27s organizations, whether fully independent, semi autonomous, or subsidiaries of existing male organizations; the important issues rising within the movements, as well as the strategies to deal with them; and lastly the influential factor of government intervention in the women\u27s movement. This paper tries to explore the Muslim women\u27s movement and its strategy to accommodate or resist from the domination of Islam in terms of the nation state, the constitution and the dominant cultural norms in Indonesia

    Scanning tunneling microscopy of lnAs/GaSb superlattices: Subbands, interface roughness, and interface asymmetry

    Scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy is used to characterize InAs/GaSb superlattices, grown by molecular-beam epitaxy. Roughness at the interfaces between InAs and GaSb layers is directly observed in the images, and a quantitative spectrum of this roughness is obtained. Electron subbands in the InAs layers are resolved in spectroscopy. Asymmetry between the interfaces of InAs grown on GaSb compared with GaSb grown on In As is seen in voltage-dependent imaging. Detailed spectroscopic study of the interfaces reveals some subtle differences between the two in terms of their valence-band onsets and conduction-band state density. These differences are interpreted in a model in which the GaSb on InAs interface has an abrupt InSb-like structure, but at the InAs on GaSb interface some Sb grading occurs into the InAs overlayer

    U(1)' solution to the mu-problem and the proton decay problem in supersymmetry without R-parity

    The Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) is plagued by two major fine-tuning problems: the mu-problem and the proton decay problem. We present a simultaneous solution to both problems within the framework of a U(1)'-extended MSSM (UMSSM), without requiring R-parity conservation. We identify several classes of phenomenologically viable models and provide specific examples of U(1)' charge assignments. Our models generically contain either lepton number violating or baryon number violating renormalizable interactions, whose coexistence is nevertheless automatically forbidden by the new U(1)' gauge symmetry. The U(1)' symmetry also prohibits the potentially dangerous and often ignored higher-dimensional proton decay operators such as QQQL and UUDE which are still allowed by R-parity. Thus, under minimal assumptions, we show that once the mu-problem is solved, the proton is sufficiently stable, even in the presence of a minimum set of exotics fields, as required for anomaly cancellation. Our models provide impetus for pursuing the collider phenomenology of R-parity violation within the UMSSM framework.Comment: Version published in Phys. Rev.

    Some Phenomenology of Intersecting D-Brane Models

    We present some phenomenology of a new class of intersecting D-brane models. Soft SUSY breaking terms for these models are calculated in the u - moduli dominant SUSY breaking approach (in type IIA). In this case, the dependence of the soft terms on the Yukawas and Wilson lines drops out. These soft terms have a different pattern compared to the usual heterotic string models.     Global exponential stability of classical solutions to the hydrodynamic model for semiconductors

    In this paper, the global well-posedness and stability of classical solutions to the multidimensional hydrodynamic model for semiconductors on the framework of Besov space are considered. We weaken the regularity requirement of the initial data, and improve some known results in Sobolev space. The local existence of classical solutions to the Cauchy problem is obtained by the regularized means and compactness argument. Using the high- and low- frequency decomposition method, we prove the global exponential stability of classical solutions (close to equilibrium). Furthermore, it is also shown that the vorticity decays to zero exponentially in the 2D and 3D space. The main analytic tools are the Littlewood-Paley decomposition and Bony's para-product formula.Comment: 18 page
