Metrics of constant curvature on a Riemann surface with two corners on the boundary

We use PDE methods as developed for the Liouville equation to study the existence of conformal metrics with prescribed singularities on surfaces with boundary, the boundary condition being constant geodesic curvature. Our first result shows that a disk with two corners admits a conformal metric with constant Gauss curvature and constant geodesic curvature on its boundary if and only if the two corners have the same angle. In fact, we can classify all the solutions in a more general situation, that of the 2-sphere cut by two planes.Comment: to appear in Annales de l'IHP-AN

C0C^{0}-regularity for solutions of elliptic equations with distributional coefficients

In this paper, the continuity of solutions for elliptic equations in divergence form with distributional coefficients is considered. Inspired by the discussion on necessary and sufficient conditions for the form boundedness of elliptic operators by Maz'ya and Verbitsky (Acta Math., 188, 263-302, 2002 and Comm. Pure Appl. Math., 59, 1286-1329, 2006), we propose two kinds of sufficient conditions, which are some Dini decay conditions and some integrable conditions named Kato class or K1K^{1} class, to show that the weak solution of the Schr\"{o}dinger type elliptic equation with distributional coefficients is continuous and give an almost optimal priori estimate. These estimates can clearly show that how the coefficients and nonhomogeneous terms influence the regularity of solutions. The ln\ln-Lipschitz regularity and H\"{o}lder regularity are also obtained as corollaries which cover the classical De Giorgi's H\"{o}lder estimates

The Party branch of teachers in higher vocational colleges needs to correctly understand the dialectical relationship between party building and business work. At present, the phenomenon of emphasizing business over party building is still a prominent problem in the integration of the two. This paper sorted out the problems and current situation in the process of party construction and business integration in the party branch of grass-roots teachers, analyzed the specific reasons, and introduced the exploration of the party branch in promoting the integration of party construction and business work in combination with the practice of the School of Tea and Food Science and Technology of Jiangsu Agriculture and Forestry Vocational and Technical College

Energy metabolism and maternal-fetal tolerance working in decidualization

    Get PDF
One pivotal aspect of early pregnancy is decidualization. The decidualization process includes two components: the differentiation of endometrial stromal cells to decidual stromal cells (DSCs), as well as the recruitment and education of decidual immune cells (DICs). At the maternal-fetal interface, stromal cells undergo morphological and phenotypic changes and interact with trophoblasts and DICs to provide an appropriate decidual bed and tolerogenic immune environment to maintain the survival of the semi-allogeneic fetus without causing immunological rejection. Despite classic endocrine mechanism by 17 β-estradiol and progesterone, metabolic regulations do take part in this process according to recent studies. And based on our previous research in maternal-fetal crosstalk, in this review, we elaborate mechanisms of decidualization, with a special focus on DSC profiles from aspects of metabolism and maternal-fetal tolerance to provide some new insights into endometrial decidualization in early pregnancy

IntroductionWell-being is a multi-domain concept that involves measuring physical, psychological, social, and spiritual domains. However, there are currently few multi-domain and comprehensive well-being instruments available. In addition, measures that do exist customarily contain a vast number of items that may lead to boredom or fatigue in participants. The Well-being Numerical Rating Scales (WB-NRSs) offer a concise, multi-domain well-being scale. This study aimed to perform the translation, adaptation, and validation of the Chinese version of WB-NRSs (WBNRSs-CV).MethodsA total of 639 clinical participants and 542 community participants completed the WB-NRSs-CV, the Single-item Self-report Subjective Well-being Scale (SISRSWBS), the World Health Organization Five-item Well-Being Index (WHO-5), the 10-item Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10), and the Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10).ResultsHigh internal consistency and test-retest reliability were obtained for both samples. Additionally, WB-NRSs-CV was positively associated with SISRSWBS and WHO-5 and negatively associated with PSS-10 and K10. In the item response theory analysis, the model fit was adequate with the discrimination parameters ranging from 2.73 to 3.56. The diffculty parameters ranged from −3.40 to 1.71 and were evenly spaced along the trait, attesting to the appropriateness of the response categories. The invariance tests demonstrated that there was no difference in WB-NRSs-CV across groups by gender or age.DiscussionThe WB-NRSs-CV was translated appropriately and cross-culturally adapted in China. It can be used as a rapid and relevant instrument to assess well-being in both clinical and non-clinical settings, with its utility for well-being measurement and management among the Chinese people

Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite

As China's first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band (1-250 keV) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 MeV. It was designed to perform pointing, scanning and gamma-ray burst (GRB) observations and, based on the Direct Demodulation Method (DDM), the image of the scanned sky region can be reconstructed. Here we give an overview of the mission and its progresses, including payload, core sciences, ground calibration/facility, ground segment, data archive, software, in-orbit performance, calibration, background model, observations and some preliminary results.Comment: 29 pages, 40 figures, 6 tables, to appear in Sci. The boundary value problem for the super-Liouville equation

    No full text
We study the boundary value problem for the — conformally invariant — super-Liouville functional that couples a function u and a spinor ψ on a Riemann surface. The boundary condition that we identify (motivated by quantum field theory) couples a Neumann condition for u with a chirality condition for ψ . Associated to any solution of the super-Liouville system is a holomorphic quadratic differential T(z), and when our boundary condition is satisfied, T becomes real on the boundary. We provide a complete regularity and blow-up analysis for solutions of this boundary value problem
