Data from an International Multi-Centre Study of Statistics and Mathematics Anxieties and Related Variables in University Students (the SMARVUS Dataset)

This large, international dataset contains survey responses from N = 12,570 students from 100 universities in 35 countries, collected in 21 languages. We measured anxieties (statistics, mathematics, test, trait, social interaction, performance, creativity, intolerance of uncertainty, and fear of negative evaluation), self-efficacy, persistence, and the cognitive reflection test, and collected demographics, previous mathematics grades, self-reported and official statistics grades, and statistics module details. Data reuse potential is broad, including testing links between anxieties and statistics/mathematics education factors, and examining instruments’ psychometric properties across different languages and contexts

The effect of victim race and background on ratings of sympathy, blame, and punishment: A replication with extension of Dukes & Gaither (2017)

The aim of the study is to conceputally replicate and extend the understanding of stereotypes and punishment recommendations. I will include a name and image of the "victim" to see how this type of additional information influences punishment recommendation and related measures. Participants will read about an altercation that resulted in the victim's death and will provide a punsihment recommendation based on the information presented as well as sympathy towards shooter (whether the person thinks what the shooter did was warranted), and blame for the incident (victim or shooter). Additionally, covariates would be measured for social desirability, symbolic racism, and exposure to news about police bruataility against people of color
