Obraz edukacji religijnej w polskich podręcznikach historii wychowania XIX i początków XX wieku

The aim of this paper is to show how religious education was portrayed in Polish textbooks on the history of education. The subject of the analysis are both the oldest publications of this kind, published in the second half of the 19th century and intended mainly for students of teachers’ seminars in Galicia, as well as later publications, intended also for university students. The adopted time perspective allows the author to indicate the main directions of change in the textbooks on the subject; the oldest textbook examined in the paper comes from 1868, while the most recent of the analysed publications were published before the outbreak of the Second World War. The issues taken up in the paper include both the scope within which the matter of religious education was considered in textbooks, as well as the attitude of individual authors towards religious education. Therefore, important here are not only issues concerning the selection of specific concepts, schools and educational activists propagating religious ideas in teaching and education, but also the form of their presentation. Crucial is also the question about the effect of various factors, e.g. the political situation or the development of historical and educational research, on the changes in the assessment of the religious education in its conceptual and practical aspect made by the authors of these studies

Autorka przedstawia czasopismo obecne na rynku polskich wydawnictw naukowych od wielu lat. Zawarte w "Horyzontach Wychowania" pisma, artykuły, polemiki i recenzje stanowią źródło informacji zarówno o tradycjach, jak i o tendencjach współczesnej pedagogiki. Problemy współczesnej pedagogiki na łamach czasopisma „Kultura i Edukacja”

Celem autorki artykułu jest ukazanie czasopisma „Kultura i Edukacja” jako źródła wiedzy o kierunkach rozwoju i problemach pedagogiki w XX i XXI w. W rozważaniach podjęte zostaną przede wszystkim zagadnienia dotyczące zakresu uwzględniania przez pismo nowych tendencji w rozwoju kultury i edukacji oraz ich wzajemnych relacji. Współczesny świat stawia przed pedagogami nowe wyzwania. Galicyjska „Szkoła” jako przykład czasopisma pedagogicznego okresu zaborów

“Szkoła” magazine is one of the oldest Polish pedagogical periodicals. It was established in Galicia, in Lvov in 1868. As the press organ of the Pedagogical Association it strived towards the unification and mobilisation of teachers. It presented mostly texts on widely understood pedeutological issues. According to the analysis of articles published in this magazine its editors tried to present the latest achievements of Polish pedagogical thought and educational reforms to the readers. In the period from 1868 to 1918 the periodical ran several dozens of such texts.Galician “Szkoła” (School) as an example of the pedagogical magazine at the partitions period  “Szkoła” magazine is one of the oldest Polish pedagogical periodicals. Maria Lipowska (1913-1985) – szkice do biografii

The aim of the article is to remind the figure of Maria Lipowska – associated with pedagogy on The Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń in the years 1945–1983. This paper is part of the study on restoring the history of women working at the University in Toruń. In the literature so far there have been no broader studies devoted to this character.
