    Rapid growth rate in broilers is always followed by a rapid fatty liver, in which fat storage tends to increase with increasing body weight. The rapid growth in broilers that are often followed by a fatty is higher, it becomes a problem for consumers who want a chicken with a low fatty. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding the juice of betel leaves to body weight of broiler chickens. This research was conducted in 9 March to 6 April 2014 for 28 days at Hamlet Village Kedungrejo Salamrejo Binangun District of Blitar. This research used an experimental method that uses a completely randomized design (CRD) using 4 treatments with 5 replicates, each replicate consisting 5 Broiler. The Results showed the treatment had no significant effect (P = 0.05) on body weight. Based on statistical calculations did not show any differences. The absence of significant differences is due to the weight of the chicken that uniform between treatments and content of feed used primarily energy and protein in the diet is almost the same.Keyword : Betlle Leaf Juice, Broiler Again, FC

    The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of giving levels of secang wood extract and lemuru fish oil on the appearance of laying quails which included feed consumption, Hen Day Production (HDP), feed conversion of quail egg mortality. This study used Autumn strain quail with a population of 168 individuals with basal feed supplemented with several levels of secang wood extract. This research method is an experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial with 4 treatments with 6 replications with each repetition consisting of 7 quails aged 10-15 weeks. The treatment was as follows: P0 = basal feed without the addition of secang wood extract P1 = basal feed + 0.2% EKS + 4% MIL, P2 = basal feed + 0.4% EKS + 4% MIL, P3 = basal feed + 0 , 6% EX + 4% MIL. The addition of a combination of secang wood extract and fish oil was carried out according to the level of quail feeding. The variable being measured; feed consumption, Hen Day Production (HDP), Feed conversion, mortality. Addition of secang wood extract with a level of 0%; 0.2%; 0.4%; 0.6%, and 4% lemuru fish oil had no significant effect on feed consumption, hen day production, feed conversion, mortality, this was due to flavonoids, polyphenols and active compounds in oil. lemuru fish does not affect the appearance of quail egg production. Flavonoid compounds in low concentrations have no effect on chicken feed consumption, because the content of flavonoid compounds can still be tolerated by the chicken body. The use of lemuru fish oil with a concentration of up to 6% in quails does not affect the consumption of quail feed, because the addition of lemuru fish oil does not affect the palatability of quail feed. The conclusion of this study was that the addition of secang wood extract. The addition of secang wood extract and lemuru fish oil did not affect hen day production, feed conversion and mortality of laying quail

    Pengaruh Medium Tumbuh Pada Pertumbuhan Biomassa Wolffia schleidenii Miq dan Kandungan Nutrisi Sebagai Bahan Pakan ternak

    This research aims to study the best medium for growing W. schleidenii and their nutrient contents. Different media were used to optimize the growth of W. schleidenii. Those used media were consisted of cow manure fertilizer with concentration of 5 g/l, 2.5 g/l, 1 g/l, goat manure fertilizer of 5 g/l, 2.5 g/l, 1 g/l, synthetic fertilizer of 100%, 75%, 50%, liquid ammonia wastes of 100 ppm, 50 ppm, 25 ppm and the water from poluted river. Spring water is used as a control medium. The parameters were biomass growth and the containt of nutrients. The results showed that the best growth of W. schleidenii occurred in the media of cow manure fertilizer of 2.5 gr/l. The plant could not grow well in the synthetic fertilizer and liquid ammonia wastes. It was found the nutrient contents of W. schleidenii were 74,26% of protein, 12,36% of carbohydrates, 1,54% of lipid, and 11,84% of crude fiber. Thus it is possible to consider this plant as resource of protein for feeding

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui level penggunaan tepung onggok terfermentasi sebagai pakan alternative pengganti Bekatul dalam meningkatkan penampilan produksi ayam kampung super yang meliputi konsumsi pakan dan pertambahan bobot badan sehingga dapat meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat dalam usaha peternakan ayam kampung super. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan teknik observasi. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 6 kali ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini P0 merupakan perlakuan tanpa penambahan Tepung Onggok Terfermentasi (TOT), P1 penambahan tepung onggok sebagai subtitusi bekatul 25 % Tepung Onggok Terfermentasi (TOT) dan 75 % Bekatul dalam ransum untuk mengganti penggunaan Bekatul, P2,penambahan TOT 50 % + 50 % Bekatul dalam ransum, P3, penambahan TOT 75% + 25% Bekatul dalam ransum. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan ternak ayam kampung super umur 28 hari sebanyak 120 ekor dan terbagi 5 ekor di setiap ulangan. Kandang yang digunakan adalah kandang koloni dengan ukuran 100 x 70 x 80 cm di setiap perlakuan dan ulangan. Hasil data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan TOT sebagai pengganti bekatul dalam ransum pakan ayam kampung super memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P<0,05) terhadap nilai konsumsi pakan ayam kampung super. Hasil data penelitian penggunaan TOT sebagai pengganti bekatul dalam ransum pakan tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap Pertambahan Bobot Badan (PBB) ayam kampung super

    The main objective of this study was to evaluate the success rate of Artificial Insemination (IB) in the Village of Semen Gandusari District, Blitar Regency. This research method is done in 2 ways, namely, descriptive and quantitative analytical. Quantitative data types are data in the form of numbers including: Number of IB services, number of females in IB, all pregnant females IB results, number of pregnant females first IB results, Data Realization of Artificial Insemination activities and recapitulation data on Artificial Insemination births, Number of Days / Months between one birth and the next, the number of farmers applying the IB program. The type of data used is primary and secondary data. The results of the research in the form of primary and secondary data obtained qualitatively are processed descriptively, while the quantitative ones are processed statistically with an average value then interpreted according to the statistics. The results that have been obtained evaluating the success rate of IBs in the working area of Semen KUD, especially Semen village, are as follows: Non Return Rate (NRR) 38.42 ± 32.91%, Conception Rate (CR) 38.42 ± 32.91%, Service Per Conception (S / C) 2.23 ± 0.95 times, 433.2 ± 57.3 days of Calving Interval (CI). It can be concluded that dairy cows in the Semen village pretty good value even though not optimal. Suggestions that need to be carried out further research on factors that influence the success of artificial insemination programs (IB)

Permasalahan yang muncul adalah belum adanya pengolahan sampah rumah tangga di Kelurahan Tanggung, Kota Blitar. Oleh karena itu, Kelompok Wanita Tani Mekarsari bersama dengan Program Studi Pengolahan Hasil Ternak Unggas, Akademi Komunitas Putra Sang Fajar berinisiasi untuk mengolah sampah rumah tangga dengan menggunakan larva BSF. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa peningkatan pemahaman dan ketrampilan anggota Kelompok Wanita Tani dalam mengimplementasikan maggot untuk mengolah limbah rumah tangga.     This research aimed is to determine the effect of Secang extract addition and sardinella fish oil as feed additive on eggs performance and production of quail. The 98 quails and 10 weeks divided into 4 groups with unequal replication using the completely randomized design. The treatment which are P0 (based ration), P1 (based ration + 0,2% secang extract + 4% sardinella fish oil), P2 (based ration + 0,4% secang extract + 4% sardinella fish oil), P3 (based ration + 0,6% secang extract + 4% sardinella fish oil). The parameters observed were length storage time of egg, egg cholesterol rate. Data were analyzed by ANOVA and Duncan ’s analysis. The results showed that Secang extract addition and sardinella fish oil were increase egg cholesterol (P<0.05) and not significantly (P>0.05) on length storage time of egg and production of quail.     Attendance record and calculation absent is a key success for the the teaching and learning process in college. The process of recording attendance using manual signatures makes it difficult to record absent data. This data is important to see the level of student discipline in taking lectures and is an early detection to monitor student discipline by giving a warning letter. For this reason, it is necessary to make an application for student attendance recording that can calculation absent and warning letters. This application is based on the web and using PHP programming language, Codeigniter framework and MySQL for database. Testing this application using blackbox testing and user questionnaires. The results of the black box testing prove that the functionality provided by the application is functioning properly according to planning. Testing with a questionnaire was carried out by distributing to all lecturers and academic staff are 15 respondents, the results of the questionnaire which were divided got a score of 90% of the respondents who chose that this application helped the presence process and the recording of the number of student absence

    This research was aimed to determine the influence of the addition of feremented cassava waste by Trichoderma viride fungus towards the appearance of duck meat production. The material used in this research was 192 types of hybrid ducks at the age of 14 days. The given treatments were: 1 feed treatment was 100. 2 feed treatment was 95%, fermented cassava waste was 5%. 3 feed treatment was 90%, fermented cassava waste was 10%. 4 feed treatment was 85%, fermented cassava waste was 15%. The observed variables were feed consumption, body weight gain, and feed conversion. The data were processed using complete random design analysis. If there was a significant difference, Duncan’s follow-up test will be conducted. The research result showed feed consumption (P<0.05), body weight gain (P>0.01), feed conversion (P>0.01).     PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN TEPUNG DAUN BELIMBING MANIS (Averrhoa carambola L.) SEBAGAI SUBSTITUSI PAKAN KELINCI TERHADAP PERFORMA KELINCI HYLA HYCOLE

    Research data collection was carried out from 12 June to 24 July 2019 at Ridho Rabbitry farm, Nglegok sub-district, Blitar district, East Java. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of sweet starfruit leaf flour (Averrhoa carambola L.) as a substitute for peanut skin on body weight gain and feed conversion of rabbit hyla hycole. The research material used 24 hyla hycole rabbits aged 12 weeks were used in this study with rabbit body weights 1900-2550 g/head, which were divided into four treatments and three replications. Experimental design with Randomized Block Design (RBD). The results showed that the average treatment, namely P0, P1, P2 and P3, respectively for feed consumption 127.33; 128.67; 124.67 and 128.33 (grams/head/day), weight gain 69.17; 80.00; 69.17 and 118.33 (grams/head/week), feed conversion 13.47; 11.30; 12.01 and 7.60.The results of this studies shows that the use of sweet starfruit leaf flour (Averrhoa carambola L.) as a substitution of peanut shells to a level of 15% has no significant effect (P> 0.05), but can affect the performance of hyla hycole rabbits including consumption feed, weight gain and feed conversion and do not have a negative impact on rabbits so that sweet starfruit leaf flour (Averrhoa carambola L) can be used as a substitute for peanut shells
