Perencanaan fasilitas dapat dikemukakans ebagai proses perancangan fasilitas, perencanaan, desain dan susunan fasilitas, peralatan fisik dan manusia yang ditunjukan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi dan system pelayanan. Di dunia industri, perencanaan fasilitas dimaksudkan sebagai rencanadalam penanganan material handling dan untuk menentukan peralatan dalam proses produksi, juga digunakan dalam perencanaan fasilitas secara keseluruhaan. Didalam merancang tata letak pabrik aktifitas. Pemindahan barang atau sering disebut material handling merupakan suatu hal yang cukup penting untuk diperhatikan dan diperhitungkan karena berhubungan langsung dengan Perubahan luas lantai produksi.Penelitian yang dilakukan di PT. Schneider Electric Manufacturing Batam lot 208 di departemen Logistik section receiving dengan menerapkan teori kedekatan agar pekerjaan lebih efisien karena lokasi berdasarkan aktifitas yang lebih sering berhubungan.Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah area yang dipindah dikarenakan hubungan kedekatan nya. Ruang receiving berhubungan dengan Unloadingarea dan dimana jarak sebelum di Re-Layout adalah 31 meter menjadi 4 meter,dan juga menambahkan ruangan baru untuk ruang Manager

The observation of the function Bukung dance in a funeral ceremony serves to deliver the souls of the funeral home to the grave, the requirements in Bukung dance, as well as Bukung dance symbolizes the Linoh tribal Nobal village Sintang Regency. Analisa Penjadwalan Persediaan Timbangan Model Sm 5600 Dengan Metode Lot for Lot (Studi Kasus Di Pt.tropical Electronic Batam)

PT.Tropical Electronic Batam sebagai salah satu Perusahaan manufacture yang memproduksi timbangan digital. Untuk menghasilkan produk timbangan, maka PT.Tropical Electronic Batam membutuhkan bahan baku yang terdiri dari electrical part dan mechanical part. PT.Tropical Electronic Batam sering mengalami part shortage. Khususnya pada timbangan SM 5600 pada bagian display bord. Karena bahan bakunya banyak, lebih banyak permintaan customer, dan harganya paling mahal diantara produk lainnya. Dengan seringnya part shortage maka sering tidak tercapai target yang dibutuhkan, karena dari rata-rata permintaan customer per bulan mencapai 120 scale. Dari actual ysng dihasilkan yaitu rata-rata 100 scale, karena terjadi keterlambatan bahan baku.Salah satu metode yang digunakan untuk mengatasi keterlambatan adalah menggunakan metode Lot For Lot membandingkan metode yang sudah ada pada Perusahaan yaitu MRP. Biaya pengadaan dan biaya simpan antara kedua metode tersebut dibandingkan untuk mengetahui berapa besar biaya yang dikeluarkan. Uji hipotesa juga dilakukan untuk mengetahui dan memastikan metode yang terbaik untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut.Hasil penelitian menunjuk kan biaya pengadaan dan biaya simpan, untuk metode Lot For Lot lebih rendah (36.000.000/tahun) dibandingkan metode MRP (39.807.375/tahun.

Asian elephant calf physiology and mahout perspectives during taming in Myanmar

A quarter of Asian elephants are captive, with greater than 90% of these tamed and cared for by handlers (mahouts) in Asia. Although taming is a much-discussed welfare issue, no studies to our knowledge have empirically assessed its impact on calves, and dialogue surrounding taming often lacks perspectives of those involved. Here, we interviewed mahouts involved in taming and monitored five physiological measures (faecal glucocorticoid metabolites (FGMs), serum cortisol, glucose, creatine kinase (CK) and heterophil:lymphocyte (H:L)) over the first 10 days of taming and following six months in 41 calves undergoing taming and 16 control individuals. These measures assess the duration and intensity of stress during taming. Interviews suggested mahouts had major concerns for their safety when discussing changing taming practices, an important consideration for future management. Calf physiological measures were elevated by 50–70% (FGMs/cortisol/glucose), 135% (H:L) and greater than 500% (CK) over the first few days of taming, indicative of elevated stress, not seen to the same extent in control adults. Some measures stabilized sooner (glucose/cortisol/CK/FGM: 7–10 days) than others (H:L: one–two months), indicating mostly acute stress. Our findings inform the welfare of approximately 15 000 captive elephants around the world. Future studies should compare taming in different populations and consider calf and mahout welfare

HDAC 阻害剤は Diethylstilbestrol による性腺刺激ホルモン細胞からのプロラクチン細胞への分化転換を抑制する

Diethylstilbestrol (DES), an estrogen agonist, increases prolactin (PRL) cells through transdifferentiation of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) cells to PRL cells as well as proliferation of PRL cells in adult male mouse pituitary. Since hyperacetylation of histone H3 is implicated in the regulation of activation of various genes, we examined the effect of DES on the state of histone H3 acetylation. DES significantly reduced the immunohistochemical signal for acetylated histone H3 at lysine 9 (H3K9ac) in PRL, LH and FSH cells, but not for H3K18ac or H3K23ac. DES-treated mice were injected intraperitoneally with HDAC inhibitors (HDACi), sodium phenylbutyrate (NaPB) or valproic acid (VPA), to mimic the acetylation level of histone H3. As expected, HDACi treatment restored the level of H3K9ac expression in these cells, and also inhibited DES-induced increase in PRL cells. Furthermore, NaPB and VPA also abrogated the effects of DES on the population density of both LH and FSH cells. Similarly, the numbers of proliferating and apoptotic cells in the pituitary in NaPB- or VPA-treated mice were comparable to those of the control mice.
