Pazhamozhi naanooru by Mundrurai Arayanaar is one among pathinen keezhkanakkunool which depicts people's discipline and thoughts in first two lines and continued with its relevant realtime proverb in the following two lines. This work has followed the structural footsteps of sangam literary works such as aganaanooru, puranaanooru, natrinai naanooru. It was first published by Sodasavadhanam Subburaya Chettiyar and later many editions were flourished. Everyone values the work similar to that of Thirukkural and Naaladiyar. It projects the required strategies for better administration of a company. The significance of administration is to opt the person who is capable of efficient skills. Administrative skill is necessary to plan the distribution, contribution, time and labour for a work. It becomes a platform to expose one's talent. How to evaluate, plan, speaking ability, neglecting irresponsibility, avoiding flattery and executing the work are some of the significant ideas of Pazhamozhi Naanooru. The research paper projects the importance of administrative strategies through the work Pazhamozhi Naanooru

Friends in Fiction: Bonding with Fictional Characters Introduced Through Fictional Narrative Positively Affects and Interplays with the Psychology and Social Behaviors of Adults to Influence Engagement

    Get PDF
Just as people can form relationships with each other, they can befriend and interact with characters. As broadening media outlets continue to introduce fictional characters, it is vital to understand the effects relationships with characters, referred to as parasocial phenomena, have on individuals. In turn, this will offer a new perspective on the effects of engaging with fiction. Bonding with fictional characters introduced through television or print narratives affects and interplays with the psychology and social behaviors of adults. Most studies support the positive effects of parasocial phenomena in terms of personality, mindset, and social skills. Other studies state that the repercussions of parasocial breakups outweigh its advantages. Some researchers believe parasociality is negative throughout the interaction, such as when readers engage with immoral or alienating content. Although many dispute or minimize the impact of engaging with fictional narratives and characters, forming relationships with characters positively affects people’s behavior and disposition. These effects are evident through personality changes and prosocial participation in viewers and readers. Specific attributes of both people and characters mediate these effects, such as personality traits and motives. The topic is further complicated by dimensions such as content, but overall, parasociality positively affects readers and viewers during and after interacting with the characters. Content creators and readers should keep this strong connection and the magnitude of its influence in mind when engaging with fictional narratives. Discovering what narrative conditions maximize the positive effects of parasociality should be a priority for future research

Tensor join of hypergraphs and its spectra

    Get PDF
In this paper, we introduce three operations on hypergraphs by using tensors. We show that these three formulations are equivalent and we commonly call them as the tensor join. We show that any hypergraph can be viewed as a tensor join of hypergraphs. Tensor join enable us to obtain several existing and new classes of operations on hypergraphs. We compute the adjacency, the Laplacian, the normalized Laplacian spectrum of weighted hypergraphs constructed by this tensor join. Also we deduce some results on the spectra of hypergraphs in the literature. As an application, we construct several pairs of the adjacency, the Laplacian, the normalized Laplacian cospectral hypergraphs by using the tensor join

The Mobile Identities: Crises of Mobility Portrayed in the Malayalam Film Pathemari

    Get PDF
The present paper entitled The Mobile Identities attempts to examine the aftermath of migration especially from south India to gulf countries as portrayed in the film Pathemari directed by Salim Ahmed. He had already thrived in delineating the intricacies and conflicts in the lives of ordinary human beings through his previous award winning projects such as Abu, Son of Adam and Kujanathantekada. Pathemari also can be regarded as a similar attempt to project the stark realities of life faced by people during a particular time in history in particular and of present times in general. The paper attempts to analyze the life and character of the protagonist Narayan ranging from childhood to death by considering the different aspects of his livelihood such as family ties broken relationships, his unrelenting affection for his native place and the nature of treatment received from his homeland. The major objective of the study is to scrutinize how much the film succeeded to convey the undesirable effects of being driven from one’s own culture and community such as identity crisis, the feeling of alienation and the sense of disinheritance. Thus this study can be described as an endeavor to think over the various effects of kinesis; both individually and socially

Background. Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19, also known as 2019-nCoV), a cluster of acute respiratory illness with unknown causes, has occurred in India since January 2020. Over the past several months, the entire world is struggling to cope with and contain the virus spread. Several studies showed that mental health problems could occur in both healthcare workers and SARS survivors during the SARS epidemic. Considering the geographical variation, dense population, multi-strata health care structure, and rising COVID cases in South India, we have a reason to speculate that the burden on the frontline doctors is high and their psychological condition may also be affected during COVID-19 outbreak. Aims. The aim of the study is to estimate the anxiety and depression among front line doctors during COVID 19 duty in south India and also the impact of the various strata of health care on the depression and anxiety scores. Methods. An online form was created which included personal details of COVID 19 duty, Beck’s anxiety and depression questionnaire. Results. Severity of anxiety and depression scores was significantly higher among front line doctors working in primary health centers when compared to medical college and private hospital doctors (P\u3c0.002). Conclusion. Our study verified the results from previous reports that anxiety and depression are high among doctors posted in COVID duties, but also that they remain largely unaddressed. We provide new findings regarding the nature of work place and the mental health issues

Design of a 1.9 GHz low-power LFSR circuit using the Reed-Solomon algorithm for Pseudo-Random Test Pattern Generation

    Get PDF
A linear feedback shift register (LFSR) has been frequently used in the Built-in Self-Test (BIST) designs for the pseudo-random test pattern generation. The volume of the test patterns and test power dissipation are the key features in the large complex designs. The objective of this paper is to propose a new LFSR circuit based on the proposed Reed-Solomon (RS) algorithm. The RS algorithm is created by considering the factors of the maximum length test pattern with a minimum distance over the time. Also, it has achieved an effective generation of test patterns over a stage of complexity order O (m log2 m), where m denotes the total number of message bits. We analyzed our RS LFSR mathematically using the feedback polynomial function for an area-sensitive design. However, the bit-wise stages of the proposed RS LFSR are simulated using the TSMC 130 nm IC design tool in the Mentor Graphics platform. Experimental results showed that the proposed LFSR achieved the effective pseudo-random test patterns with a low-test power dissipation (25.13 µW). Ultimately, the circuit has operated in the highest operating frequency (1.9 GHz) environment.   &nbsp
