Immigration and violence

.Los mal llamados inmigrantes extracomunitarios no tienen más remedio que vivir rodeados de violencia, social e institucional. El problema no es tanto que sus derechos y sus personas sean objeto de exclusión, sino que debido a las disposiciones legales vigentes, lo sufren en un grado superior. En muchas circunstancias se ejercen y se vulneran derechos. ¿Por qué, en lugar de reprimir a la inmigración y presentarla como fuente de conflicto, no se dota a los inmigrantes de los mecanismos necesarios para que, al mismo tiempo que mantienen sus raíces, puedan ofrecer nuevas propuestas a la sociedad que los acoge? Si no es así, difícilmente se podrá romper el binomio que une inmigración con violencia.The misnamed "extracommunity" immigrants have no choice but to live in surroundings of social and institutional violence. The problem does not have as much 10 do with their rights and persons being the object of exclusion, as it does with the fact that due to the legal regulations inforce, they suffer alienation to a greater extern. In many situations, rights are exercised and violated. Instead of repressing immigration and portraying it as a source of conflict , why aren't immigrants given the mechanisms necessary to offer th eir host societies new proposals while preserving their roots? If this path is not taken, it will be difiicult to do away with the binomial linking immigration and violence
